મૂળી પ્રતિષ્ઠા મહોત્સવે સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ લાલજી પધરાવી વીસ મણ લાડુને અક્ષય કર્યા; ખારવાળી જમીનમાં શેર-શેરના દાડમ પકવવાનો પરચો આપ્યો.
ઝાલાવાડની ઐતિહાસિક ભૂમિ મૂળી નગરમાં સદગુરુ શ્રી બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ પૂર્ણ પુરુષોત્તમ શ્રીજીમહારાજની આજ્ઞાથી શ્રી રાધારમણ દેવનું ભવ્ય શિખરબદ્ધ મંદિર નિર્માણ કર્યું હતું. સંવત ૧૮૮૨ના વસંતપંચમીના પાવન દિવસે મંદિરમાં દેવની મૂર્તિપ્રતિષ્ઠાનો ત્રિદિનાત્મક ભવ્ય મહોત્સવ યોજાયો હતો.
મૂર્તિપ્રતિષ્ઠા પ્રસંગે સદગુરુ શ્રી ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી તે સમયે ધોલેરા બિરાજમાન હતા. બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામીને ધોલેરા મોકલી ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીને મૂળી પધારવા તેડું મોકલ્યું. પરંતુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ ધોલેરા મંદિરના અગત્યના કાર્યને કારણે અનિચ્છા દર્શાવી. સમાચાર મળતાં જ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી પોતે તત્કાળ ઘોડાગાડી જોડીને ધોલેરા પહોંચ્યા અને ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીને હાથ જોડી અત્યંત પ્રેમપૂર્વક આગ્રહ કર્યો: “હે સ્વામી! આપ પધાર્યા વગર હું મૂળીમાં દેવ પધરાવીશ જ નહીં! આપના માટે એક જ રાતમાં મૂળીથી પરત ધોલેરા પહોંચાડવા ખાસ ડાંગ-ચોકીની વ્યવસ્થા કરી આપીશ, પણ આપ મૂળી પધારો જ!” બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીનો અતિશય સ્નેહ જોઈ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી મૂળી પધારવા સંમત થયા.
મૂળી પહોંચી ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ રસોડામાં આંટો મારતાં પૂછ્યું: “સ્વામી! હરિભક્તો અને બ્રાહ્મણો માટે પકવાનની શી વ્યવસ્થા છે?” બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ ઓરડો બતાવી કહ્યું: “સ્વામી! સર્વે ભક્તો માટે મોતીયા લાડુ બનાવીને આખો ઓરડો ભરી દીધો છે.” ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ થોડી વાર વિચાર કરી મર્મમાં કહ્યું: “માનભોગ (શીરો) કર્યો હોત તો સારું થાત; કેમ કે માનભોગના તાવડા તત્કાળ ચાલતા કરી શકાય, લાડુ ખૂટે તો તરત ન બને!”
મૂર્તિપ્રતિષ્ઠાના દિવસે સમગ્ર ઝાલાવાડ ઉપરાંત ગુજરાત અને કાઠિયાવાડમાંથી હજારોની મેદની ઊમટી પડી. એક તો વસંતપંચમીનો મોટો સમૈયો, શ્રી રાધારમણ દેવની પ્રતિષ્ઠા, અને સાથોસાથ સદગુરુ શ્રી ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી તથા આદ્ય આચાર્યશ્રી અયોધ્યાપ્રસાદજી મહારાજ પણ પધારેલા!
બપોરે મહાપ્રસાદનો સમય થયો અને બ્રાહ્મણો તથા હરિભક્તોની હજારોની સંખ્યામાં લાંબી લાંબી પંક્તિઓ બેસી ગઈ. પહેલી-બીજી મોટી પંક્તિઓ જમવા બેઠી ત્યાં જ લાડુ ઝડપથી ઘટવા લાગ્યા. રસોઈના સંચાલક મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી ચિંતાતુર થઈ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી પાસે દોડી આવ્યા અને ધીમે રહીને કહ્યું: “સ્વામી! જમનારા હરિભક્તોનો અપરંપાર પ્રવાહ છે અને ઓરડામાં પકવાન ખૂટવાની અણી પર આવી ગયું છે!”
બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ મુસ્કુરાઈને નિર્ભયતાથી કહ્યું: “તમે લેશમાત્ર ચિંતા કરશો નહીં, એ તો મોટા યોગીનું કામ છે!” બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી તત્કાળ સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી પાસે ગયા અને તેમને સાથે તેડીને લાડુના ઓરડામાં લઈ આવ્યા. તે વખતે ઓરડામાં માત્ર વીસેક મણ જેટલા જ લાડુ બચ્યા હતા!
યોગીરાજ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ લાડુના ઢગલા સામે દ્રષ્ટિ કરી આજ્ઞા આપી: “આ પકવાનને આમ ઉઘાડું ન રખાય; પવિત્ર વસ્ત્ર (મોદિયું) ઓઢાડીને ઢાંકી રાખો! અને કોઈ જઈને આપણા લાલજી (ઠાકોરજી) ને અહીં પધરાવી લાવો!” સ્વામીના લાલજીને લાવી એક ખુરશી પર પધરાવવામાં આવ્યા અને ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી પોતે પણ બાજુમાં ઢોલણી નાખીને માળા ફેરવતાં બિરાજમાન થયા.
ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ પીરસનારા સંતો-હરિભક્તોને આદેશ આપ્યો: “હવે સહુ છૂટે હાથે બેઉ હાથે લાડુ પીરસવા માંડો; કોઈ પણ અતિથિ ભૂખ્યો ન જવો જોઈએ!” ત્યારબાદ રાત્રિના બાર વાગ્યા સુધી હજારો હરિભક્તો, બ્રાહ્મણો અને નગરજનોને અખંડ લાડુ પીરસાયા! મધ્યરાત્રિએ સહુ તૃપ્ત થઈ ગયા પછી જ્યારે ‘શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાનની જય’ બોલાવીને પકવાન પરથી વસ્ત્ર ઉઘાડવામાં આવ્યું, ત્યારે આશ્ચર્ય વચ્ચે આરંભમાં જેટલા વીસ મણ લાડુ હતા, તેટલા જ અકબંધ અને તાજા મોજૂદ હતા!
આ દિવ્ય પરચો જોઈ સર્વે સંતો-હરિભક્તો ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીના ચરણોમાં ઢળી પડ્યા અને ગદગદ કંઠે બોલ્યા: “હે સ્વામી! જો આજે આપ ન પધાર્યા હોત તો આખી સભામાં અમારી લાજ જાત!” ત્યારે ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ નમ્રતાપૂર્વક કહ્યું: “એ તો સાક્ષાત્ પૂર્ણ પુરુષોત્તમ શ્રીહરિએ આપણી લાજ રાખીને ઉત્સવ ધામધૂમથી નિર્વિઘ્ન સંપન્ન કર્યો છે.”
બીજે દિવસે સવારે ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી ધોલેરા જવા વિદાય લેતા હતા, ત્યારે બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ હાથ જોડી વિનંતી કરી: “હે સ્વામી! આપે દેવ તો પધરાવ્યા, પરંતુ મૂળીની ભૂમિ અતિશય ખારવાળી છે. અહીં ઠાકોરજીને ધરાવવા માટે મીઠાં ફળ-ફૂલ પાકતાં નથી; આપ કોઈ વિશેષ અનુગ્રહ કરો!” ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ દિવ્ય દ્રષ્ટિ કરી આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા: “આપણા મંદિરની વાડીમાં દાડમના વૃક્ષો વાવો; એ દેવને ધરાવવા અતિ ઉત્તમ પાકશે! દેવને ધરાવજો પણ વેચશો નહીં!” ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીના દિવ્ય સંકલ્પથી મૂળી મંદિરની ખારાશવાળી ભૂમિમાં એવાં ઉત્કૃષ્ટ દાડમ પાકવા લાગ્યાં કે એક-એક દાડમ એક-એક શેર (લગભગ ૫૦૦ ગ્રામ) ના વજનનું થતું હતું!

मूली मंदिर की मूर्ति प्रतिष्ठा, मोतिया लडू का दिव्य चमत्कार और अनार की बाड़ी का आशीर्वाद
झालावाड़ के मूली नगर में सदगुरु श्री ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने श्रीराधारमण देव का भव्य मंदिर बनवाया। संवत १८८२ की वसंतपंचमी को मूर्ति प्रतिष्ठा का भव्य महोत्सव था।
ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने धोलेरा से सदगुरु श्री गोपालानंद स्वामी को विशेष आग्रह कर बुलवाया। वसंतपंचमी के दिन देश-विदेश से हजारों ब्राह्मण और भक्त उमड़ पड़े। पहली ही पंगत में मोतिया लडू समाप्त होने लगे। व्यवस्थापक संतों ने घबराकर ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी से कहा कि मिठाई समाप्त हो रही है।
ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी तुरंत गोपालानंद स्वामी को भंडार गृह में ले गए, जहाँ केवल बीस मन लडू शेष थे। गोपालानंद स्वामी ने लडू के ढेर को पवित्र वस्त्र से ढकने का आदेश दिया और अपने लालजी (ठाकुरजी) को कुर्सी पर पधराकर स्वयं पास बैठ गए। स्वामी ने आज्ञा दी: “अब दोनों हाथों से खुले दिल से परोसना आरंभ करो!”
रात्रि के बारह बजे तक हजारों लोगों को छककर लडू परोसे गए। अंत में जब जयघोष के साथ वस्त्र हटाया गया, तो बीस मन लडू ज्यों के त्यों अक्षत और ताजे विद्यमान थे! यह चमत्कार देखकर सभी संत-भक्त स्वामी के चरणों में गिर पड़े।
अगले दिन विदाई के समय ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने मूली की खारी भूमि में ठाकुरजी के लिए फल न होने की बात कही, तो गोपालानंद स्वामी ने आशीर्वाद दिया: “मंदिर की वाड़ी में अनार (दाड़म) बोओ, वे बहुत मीठे और बड़े होंगे; ठाकुरजी को भोग लगाना, बेचना मत!” उस खारी भूमि में एक-एक सेर (आधा किलो) के विशाल अनार फलने लगे।

Muli Mandir Pratishtha, the Inexhaustible Mound of Ladu, and Gopalanand Swami’s Blessing of Pomegranates
In the historic region of Zalawad, in the town of Muli, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami constructed a magnificent pinnacled mandir dedicated to Shri Radharaman Dev under the divine command of Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj. On the auspicious day of Vasant Panchami in Samvat 1882, a grand three-day murti pratishtha festival was celebrated.
Sadguru Gopalanand Swami was stationed in Dholera at the time. Brahmanand Swami sent a message requesting his presence, but Gopalanand Swami initially hesitated due to pressing construction duties in Dholera. Learning of this, Brahmanand Swami personally harnessed a horse carriage, rushed to Dholera, and pleaded with intense love: “O Swami! Without your presence, I shall not perform the murti installation at Muli! I shall arrange special relay guards (dang-choki) to ensure you return to Dholera within a single night, but you must grace Muli!” Overwhelmed by Brahmanand Swami’s heartfelt love, Gopalanand Swami agreed.
Upon reaching Muli, Gopalanand Swami inspected the kitchen store and inquired about the sweets prepared for the thousands of pilgrims. Brahmanand Swami pointed to a room filled with motaiya ladus. Gopalanand Swami smiled thoughtfully and remarked: “Had you prepared manbhog (sheera), it would have been safer, as giant cauldrons can be refilled swiftly; if ladus run out, they cannot be made anew!”
On the pratishtha day, vast multitudes of Brahmins, householders, and dignitaries flooded Muli from all directions, drawn by the triple festival of Vasant Panchami, the deity installation, and the divine presence of Gopalanand Swami and Acharya Ayodhyaprasadji Maharaj.
When lunch was served, enormous rows of thousands of diners sat in succession. Within the first two massive seatings, the supplies of ladus dwindled alarmingly. Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami rushed to Brahmanand Swami in deep anxiety: “Swami! The crowd of pilgrims is endless, and the ladus in the store are virtually exhausted!”
Brahmanand Swami smiled with unshakable faith: “Worry not; this is the work of a supreme yogi!” He immediately led Gopalanand Swami into the storeroom, where barely twenty maunds (approx. 400 kg) of ladus remained.
Yogiraj Gopalanand Swami gazed upon the pile and instructed: “Such consecrated offerings must not be kept exposed; cover them completely with a sanctified cloth! Bring our Thakorji (Lalji) here at once!” The Lord’s murti was placed upon a chair beside the mound, and Gopalanand Swami sat upon a low cot nearby, peacefully turning his rosary.
Gopalanand Swami commanded the servers: “Now commence serving with open hands and generous hearts; let no guest depart unsatisfied!” Serving continued unabated until midnight, feeding thousands upon thousands of pilgrims. When the last diner was satisfied and the sacred chant of ‘Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan ni Jay’ resounded, the cloth covering was lifted. To everyone’s astonishment, the pile of ladus stood exactly as large, untouched, and fragrant as the initial twenty maunds!
Tears of awe filled the eyes of the devotees as they fell at Gopalanand Swami’s feet: “O Swami! Had you not come today, our honor would have been shattered!” Gopalanand Swami humbly replied: “It is the Supreme Lord Shreehari Himself who preserved our honor and brought this divine festival to glorious fruition.”
The following morning, as Gopalanand Swami prepared to depart for Dholera, Brahmanand Swami submitted: “Swami, you installed the deities, but Muli’s soil is highly saline and barren; no sweet fruits or flowers grow here for Thakorji’s daily offerings. Kindly bestow your divine grace!” Gopalanand Swami blessed the land: “Plant pomegranate trees in the temple orchard; they will yield magnificent, delicious fruit for Thakorji! Offer them to the Lord, but never sell them commercially!” Through Gopalanand Swami’s divine blessing, the saline soil of Muli began producing colossal, luscious pomegranates weighing nearly one seer (approx. 500 grams) each!
