મેઘપુર ગામે ઉદ્ધવાવતાર રામાનંદ સ્વામીએ અમરસંગજી ભાટની નિર્માની સેવા જોઈ બ્રહ્મમહોલમાં પોતાની સમીપ રાખવાનું વચન આપ્યું અને હૂકો-અફીણ છોડાવ્યા. પાછળથી શ્રીહરિએ આ પરિવાર પર અપાર કૃપા વરસાવી.
ઉદ્ધવાવતાર સદગુરુ શ્રી રામાનંદ સ્વામી સંતમંડળ સાથે વિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં મેઘપુર ગામે પધાર્યા. ગામમાં તેમના પરમ શ્રદ્ધાળુ અનુયાયી અમરસંગજી ભાટ રહેતા હતા. પોતાના ગુરુદેવ પધાર્યા જાણી અમરસંગજી હરખથી ઘેલા થઈ ગયા અને ઘરનો ઉત્તમ ઓરડો ખાલી કરી, લીંપી-ગૂંપીને સંતો માટે બિછાના પાથરી ઉતારો આપ્યો.
રાત્રે સંધ્યા આરતી બાદ રામાનંદ સ્વામીની સભા ભરાઈ. ગામના અનેક મુમુક્ષુઓ ગુરુમુખેથી જ્ઞાનવાર્તા સાંભળવા આવ્યા. સ્વામીએ મનુષ્ય જન્મની દુર્લભતા સમજાવી સદાચાર પાળવા અને ભગવાનનું ભજન કરી જીવન સાર્થક કરવા અમૃતમય ઉપદેશ આપ્યો.
બીજે દિવસે બપોર પછી રોંઢા ટાણે રામાનંદ સ્વામી સંતો સાથે આંબાવાડીમાં સ્નાન કરવા પધાર્યા. અમરસંગજીએ આંબાના શીતળ વૃક્ષ નીચે ઢોલિયો ઢાળી, તકિયો ગોઠવી સ્વામીના બેસવાની સુંદર વ્યવસ્થા કરી. સ્વામી સ્નાન કરીને ઢોલિયા પર બિરાજ્યા અને સામે સંતો-હરિભક્તોની સભા ભરાઈ.
ગુરુદેવ રામાનંદ સ્વામી અમરસંગજીની નિર્માની ભાવે થતી સેવા જોઈ અત્યંત પ્રસન્ન થયા અને તેમને પોતાની પાસે બોલાવી કહ્યું: “અમરસંગજી! તમે અમારા ઢોલિયાના પાયા પાસે જ બેસો!” અમરસંગજીએ બે હાથ જોડી નમ્રતાપૂર્વક વિનંતી કરી: “હે સ્વામી! આપે મને અહીં આ લોકમાં ઢોલિયાના પાયા પાસે બેસાડ્યો, પરંતુ અક્ષરધામના બ્રહ્મમહોલમાં આપની સમીપ જ બેસાડવો પડશે!” રામાનંદ સ્વામી મંદ મંદ હસ્યા અને બોલ્યા: “ભલે અમરસંગજી! અમે તમને એ વરદાન આપીએ છીએ, પણ જો તમારે અમારી સમીપ રહેવું હોય તો આપણી આજ્ઞા પૂર્ણપણે પાળવી પડશે. આ હૂકો અને અફીણ પીવાનું વ્યસન તમારે સદંતર ત્યજવું પડશે!”
અમરસંગજી ભાટે ગુરુદેવના ચરણકમળ સ્પર્શી તત્કાળ પ્રતિજ્ઞા લીધી: “હે ગુરુદેવ! આપની કૃપાથી આજ અને અત્યારથી જ હું અફીણ અને હૂકાનો કાયમ માટે ત્યાગ કરું છું!” રામાનંદ સ્વામીએ અત્યંત રાજી થઈ અમરસંગજીના મસ્તક પર બંને વરદહસ્ત મૂકી આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા.
રામાનંદ સ્વામીના આશીર્વાદથી અમરસંગજી આગળ જતાં પરમ એકાંતિક ભક્ત બન્યા. સ્વામીના સ્વધામગમન પછી ભગવાન શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ જ્યારે જ્યારે મેઘપુર પધારતા ત્યારે અમરસંગજીના ઘરે અચૂક પધારી દર્શન દેતા. શ્રીહરિએ એક વખત અદ્ભુત લીલા કરતાં અમરસંગજીના નાના પુત્ર કરશનજી પાસે કુરાને શરીફની આયતો અને હદીસો બોલાવી મુસ્લિમ બિરાદરોનો સંશય ટાળ્યો હતો. તેમજ અમરસંગજીના દીકરી લાડકીબાઈને શ્રીહરિએ અનેકવાર સમાધિ કરાવી હતી, જેથી તેઓ સમગ્ર સંપ્રદાયમાં ‘લાડકીબાઈ સમાધિવાળા’ તરીકે પ્રસિદ્ધ થયાં હતાં.

मेघपुर के अमरसंगजी भाट पर सद्गुरु रामानन्द स्वामी और श्रीहरि की असीम कृपा
उद्धवावतार सद्गुरु श्री रामानन्द स्वामी संत-मंडल सहित विचरण करते हुए मेघपुर गाँव पधारे। गाँव में उनके अनन्य श्रद्धालु अनुयायी अमरसंगजी भाट निवास करते थे। अपने परम गुरुदेव का शुभागमन जानकर अमरसंगजी आनंद-विभोर हो गए। उन्होंने घर का श्रेष्ठ कक्ष रिक्त कर, स्वच्छ कर संतों के विश्राम हेतु सुंदर शय्या बिछाई।
संध्या-आरती के उपरांत रामानन्द स्वामी की सत्संग-सभा हुई। गाँव के अनेक मुमुक्षु स्वामीजी के मुखारविंद से अमृतवाणी सुनने एकत्र हुए। स्वामीजी ने मानव देह की दुर्लभता और सदाचार के महत्व पर विशद उपदेश दिया।
अगले दिन तीसरे पहर रामानन्द स्वामी संतों के साथ आम्र-कुंज (आम के बगीचे) में स्नानार्थ पधारे। अमरसंगजी ने एक सघन आम के वृक्ष की शीतल छाया में सुंदर पलंग बिछाकर तकिया लगाया। स्वामीजी स्नान कर पलंग पर विराजे और सम्मुख संतों-भक्तों की धर्मसभा जम गई।
अमरसंगजी की निष्कपट और निरभिमानी सेवा से मुग्ध होकर स्वामीजी ने उन्हें अपने समीप बुलाकर कहा: “अमरसंगजी! आप हमारे पलंग के पाये के पास ही बैठिए!” अमरसंगजी ने करबद्ध होकर अत्यंत मार्मिक प्रार्थना की: “हे स्वामी! आपने मुझे इस लोक में तो पलंग के पाये के समीप बैठाया है, किंतु अक्षरधाम के ब्रह्ममहाल में भी आपको मुझे अपने समीप ही बैठाना होगा!” रामानन्द स्वामी मुस्कुराए और बोले: “तथास्तु! अमरसंगजी, हम आपको यह वरदान देते हैं; किंतु यदि हमारे समीप रहना है, तो हमारी आज्ञा का अक्षरशः पालन करना होगा। यह हुक्का और अफीम का व्यसन आपको सर्वथा त्यागना होगा!”
अमरसंगजी भाट ने तत्क्षण गुरुदेव के चरणों में शीश नवाकर प्रतिज्ञा की: “हे गुरुदेव! आपकी कृपा से मैं अभी इसी क्षण हुक्का और अफीम का सदा-सदा के लिए त्याग करता हूँ!” स्वामीजी ने अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर उनके मस्तक पर हाथ रखकर दिव्य आशीष प्रदान किया।
स्वामीजी के वरदान से अमरसंगजी परम निष्ठावान एकांतिक भक्त बने। रामानन्द स्वामी के धाम गमन के पश्चात साक्षात भगवान श्री स्वामिनारायण भी जब कभी मेघपुर पधारते, तो अमरसंगजी के घर अवश्य पधारते थे। श्रीजी महाराज ने एक बार अमरसंगजी के बालक करशनजी के मुख से पवित्र कुरान की आयतें बुलवाकर उपस्थित मुस्लिम बंधुओं का संशय दूर किया था। इसके अतिरिक्त अमरसंगजी की सुपुत्री लाड़कीबाई को श्रीहरि ने कई बार समाधि कराई, जिससे वे संपूर्ण सत्संग में ‘लाड़कीबाई समाधिवाली’ के नाम से विख्यात हुईं।

Sadguru Ramanand Swami’s Blessing on Amarsangji Bhat at Meghpur: Renunciation of Addiction and Eternal Fellowship
The divine incarnation of Uddhava, Sadguru Shri Ramanand Swami, arrived at Meghpur village while on a preaching tour with his assembly of sadhus. In this village lived a devoted disciple, Amarsangji Bhat. Learning of the arrival of his revered spiritual master, Amarsangji was thrilled with devotional joy. He immediately vacated the finest room of his home, cleaned and sanctified it, and arranged comfortable bedding for the holy sadhus.
In the evening following the aarti, Ramanand Swami held a spiritual discourse. Many village seekers gathered to drink in the nectar of wisdom flowing from his lips. Swami emphasized the extraordinary rarity of human birth and urged everyone to cultivate pristine virtues and engage unceasingly in devotion to God.
The next afternoon, Ramanand Swami went to a nearby mango orchard with the sadhus to bathe. Beneath the cool shade of a lush mango tree, Amarsangji had set up a cot adorned with comfortable bolsters. Having bathed, Swami sat upon the cot while the sadhus and devotees gathered before him in an assembly.
Pleased by Amarsangji’s humble, ego-free service, Ramanand Swami called him close and said: “Amarsangji! Come, sit right beside the leg of our cot!” Amarsangji sat near the foot of the cot, folded his hands, and submitted a soulful plea: “O Swami! You have made me sit by the foot of your cot in this mortal realm, but in the eternal Brahmamohol of Akshardham, you will have to seat me right beside you!” Ramanand Swami smiled benignly and replied: “So be it, Amarsangji! We grant you this boon; however, if you wish to dwell close to us in Akshardham, you must obey our commandments implicitly. You must completely renounce your addiction to smoking the hookah and consuming opium!”
Touching the sacred feet of his Guru, Amarsangji Bhat vowed without hesitation: “O Gurudev! By your grace, here and now I renounce opium and the hookah forever!” Filled with immense pleasure, Ramanand Swami placed both his benevolent hands upon Amarsangji’s head, bestowing profound spiritual blessings.
Through Swami’s divine grace, Amarsangji evolved into an exalted ekantik devotee. After Ramanand Swami’s return to the divine abode, whenever supreme Lord Swaminarayan visited Meghpur, He unfailingly graced Amarsangji’s dwelling with His presence. On one historic occasion, Shriji Maharaj performed a miracle through Amarsangji’s young son Karshanji, making the child recite verses from the Holy Quran, thereby resolving the spiritual doubts of Muslim seekers. Furthermore, Shri Hari frequently granted spiritual trances (samadhi) to Amarsangji’s daughter Ladkibai, earning her renown throughout the Satsang as ‘Ladkibai Samadhivali’.
