ડાંગરવામાં જતનબાંના દૂધ-દહીંના સ્નેહને વશ થઈ શ્રીહરિએ સંતોને ઘી પીરસ્યું અને વેણીભાઈના સમગ્ર કુળને શાશ્વત મોક્ષનું વચન આપ્યું.
‘પ્રભુ પદ રજ જેહ કામે, અજ ભવ આદિ તહાં સ્વશિષ નામે..! પુનિત કરણ તિર્થ તયા ગણાય, બહુ મહિમા મુખ થી કહ્યો ન જાય..!!’
પરબ્રહ્મ શ્રીજીમહારાજ ખોરજ અને વડસ્મા થઈને ખારી વડ પધાર્યા અને વિશાળ વટવૃક્ષની શીતળ છાયામાં સભા કરીને બિરાજ્યા.
તે સમયે કરજીસણ ગામથી ગોવિંદભાઈ પટેલ શ્રીહરિને પોતાને ગામ તેડી જવા આવ્યા અને પ્રેમપૂર્વક વિનંતી કરી: “પ્રભુ! મારે ગામ પધારો, તો હું દરરોજ આપને તથા સંતો-ભક્તોને ગરમાગરમ શીરો-પૂરી જમાડીશ!” તે જ વખતે ડાંગરવા ગામથી પ્રેમની સાક્ષાત મૂર્તિ સમાન જતનબાં તથા વેણીભાઈ, અગરાજી અને અમરાજી દર્શને આવ્યા. જતનબાંએ હાથ જોડીને અત્યંત સ્નેહથી કહ્યું: “હે મહારાજ! મારા ઘરે સત્તર ભેંસોનાં દૂઝણાં છે; આપ કૃપા કરી મારે ઘેર પધારો, હું રોજ આપને તથા સંતોને દૂધ-દહીંની છોળો ઉડાડીશ, જેટલું જોઈએ તેટલું પીરસજો!”
બંને ગામના ભક્તોનો નિષ્કપટ સ્નેહ જોઈ શ્રીહરિ મૂંઝાયા કે પ્રથમ ક્યાં જવું? શ્રીહરિએ સદગુરુ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી સામે જોઈને કહ્યું, “સ્વામી! આપ જ નિર્ણય કરો કે આપણે પ્રથમ કયા ગામ જવું?” બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ વિવેકપૂર્વક હસીને કહ્યું, “મહારાજ! અમને સાધુઓને રોજ રોજ શીરો-પૂરી ન ભાવે! માટે આપણે પ્રથમ ડાંગરવા જતનબાંને ઘેર જઈએ અને એમના દૂધ-દહીંના પ્રેમને અંગીકાર કરીએ; વળતાં આપણે કરજીસણ ગોવિંદભાઈને ત્યાં પણ જઈશું.”
શ્રીહરિ આ નિર્ણય સ્વીકારી ડાંગરવા પધાર્યા. ભક્તોએ ધામધૂમથી સામૈયું કરી વેણીભાઈના ઘરે ઉતારો કરાવ્યો. રસોઈ તૈયાર થતાં શ્રીહરિ જમવા બેઠા. જમીને મુખવાસ લઈ શ્રીહરિ સ્વયં સંતોની પંક્તિમાં પીરસવા પધાર્યા! પોતાનો શ્વેત ખેસ ખંભે નાખી, કેડ સાથે બાંધી, હાથમાં ઘીનું પાત્ર લઈને શ્રીહરિ પરમહંસોનાં પત્તરમાં ઘીની ધાર કરવા લાગ્યા. જતનબાંનો આગ્રહ જોઈ શ્રીહરિ બોલ્યા, “જુઓ સંતો! આજે એક-એક જણે બબ્બે શેર ઘી ન જમો તો તમને મારા સમ છે!” ગોળ-ભાતમાં ઘીની નદીઓ વહાવી શ્રીહરિએ સર્વે સંતોને તૃપ્ત કર્યા.
ત્યારબાદ જતનબાં ચાર શેર કઢેલા દૂધમાં સાકર, એલચી, જાયફળ અને બદામ નાખીને સુગંધિત મસાલાવાળું દૂધ લાવ્યાં, જે શ્રીહરિએ પ્રેમથી આરોગી જતનબાંને અખંડ કલ્યાણનું વરદાન આપ્યું.
ફળિયામાં સભા ભરાઈ ત્યારે વેણીભાઈએ સંકોચ સાથે પૂછ્યું, “હે મહારાજ! અમારા પરિવારમાં જે નાનાં બાળકો મૃત્યુ પામ્યાં છે, તેમનું કલ્યાણ થશે કે નહીં?” શ્રીહરિએ અપાર કરુણા વરસાવતાં કહ્યું: “વેણીભાઈ! તમારા ઘર પરથી જો કોઈ ચકલી પણ ઊડીને નીકળે તો તેનું પણ અમે કલ્યાણ કરીશું! માટે તમારાં મૃત બાળકોના કલ્યાણની ચિંતા ક્યારેય કરશો નહીં!” વેણીભાઈએ કહ્યું, “પ્રભુ! આવી દયા કરી હોય તો મારો હાથ પકડીને વચન આપો!” શ્રીહરિએ તરત વેણીભાઈનો હાથ પોતાના હાથમાં લઈને શાશ્વત મોક્ષનું વચન આપ્યું.
સદગુરુ નિષ્કુળાનંદ સ્વામીએ ભક્તચિંતામણીના પ્રકરણ ૧૧૯માં ડાંગરવાના ભક્તોને સંભારતાં લખ્યું છે: ‘કણબી ભક્ત વેણીદાસ વળી, ભાવસંગ નરોત્તમ મળી..! જતન રળિયાત વજી જન, કર્યું કણબીકુળ પાવન..!!’

खारी वड़ तले श्रीहरि की सभा, डांगरवा की जतनबां का वात्सल्य और वेणीभाई के कुल को मोक्ष का वचन
परब्रह्म श्रीजीमहाराज खारी वड़ (बरगद के वृक्ष) तले सभा में विराजे थे। करजीसण के गोविंदभाई पटेल ने आकर प्रार्थना की: “प्रभु! हमारे गाँव पधारिए, हम रोज शीरा-पूरी खिलाएँगे!” उसी समय डांगरवा गाँव से प्रेमरूप जतनबां तथा वेणीभाई दर्शनार्थ आए। जतनबां ने स्नेहपूर्वक कहा: “महाराज! हमारे घर १७ दुधारू भैंसें हैं, आप हमारे यहाँ पधारें, हम रोज दूध-दही की नदियाँ बहा देंगे!”
दोनों का प्रेम देखकर श्रीहरि ने ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी से निर्णय करने को कहा। स्वामीजी ने हँसकर कहा, “महाराज! साधुओं को प्रतिदिन शीरा-पूरी रास नहीं आती; अतः पहले डांगरवा में जतनबां का दूध-दही स्वीकार करें, लौटते समय करजीसण चलेंगे।”
प्रभु डांगरवा पधारे। संतों की पंक्ति में श्रीजीमहाराज ने स्वयं कमर कसकर घी की धारा से सबको तृप्त किया। तदुपरांत जतनबां द्वारा लाया गया चार सेर कढ़ा हुआ केसर-बादाम युक्त दूध प्रेम से पिया और उन्हें परम कल्याण का वरदान दिया।
सभा में वेणीभाई ने पूछा, “प्रभु! हमारे कुल में जो बच्चे अल्पायु में चल बसे, क्या उनका कल्याण होगा?” श्रीहरि ने अत्यंत करुणा से कहा: “वेणीभाई! आपके घर के ऊपर से यदि कोई चिड़िया भी उड़कर निकल जाए, तो उसका भी हम मोक्ष करेंगे! अतः परिजनों के कल्याण की चिंता कभी मत करना।” और प्रभु ने वेणीभाई का हाथ पकड़कर मोक्ष का दृढ़ वचन दिया।
भक्तचिंतामणि में निष्कुलानंद स्वामी लिखते हैं: ‘कणबी भक्त वेणीदास वळी… जतन रळियात वजी जन, कर्युं कणबीकुळ पावन..!!’

Shreehari’s Assembly under the Khari Vad Tree, Jatanba’s Loving Feast at Dangarwa, and the Assurance of Salvation for Venibhai’s Lineage
‘Prabhu pada raja jeha kāme, Aja Bhava ādi tahā̃ sva-shīṣha nāme… Punita karaṇa tīrtha tayā gaṇāya, bahu mahimā mukha thī kahyo na jāya!’
Travelling through Khoraj and Vadsama, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj arrived beneath the cool, expansive canopy of the Khari Vad (ancient banyan tree) and presided in divine assembly.
At that moment, Govindbhai Patel of Karjisan arrived to invite Maharaj: “Prabhu! Please grace my village; I shall feed You and the holy sadhus delicious shiro and puris every day!” Simultaneously, Jatanba, an embodiment of maternal affection from Dangarwa, arrived with Venibhai, Agraji, and Amraji. Folding her hands, Jatanba pleaded: “O Maharaj! I have seventeen milch buffaloes at home; please grace my home, and I shall pour out endless streams of rich milk and curd for You and the sadhus!”
Witnessing the pure love of both devotees, Shreehari turned to Sadguru Brahmanand Swami: “Swami! You decide which village we should visit first!” Brahmanand Swami replied with thoughtful wit: “Maharaj! We ascetics cannot digest rich shiro-puri every day; let us first proceed to Dangarwa to accept Jatanba’s heartfelt offering of milk and yogurt, and on our return journey we shall visit Karjisan.”
Accepting this judgment, Shreehari proceeded to Dangarwa. After dining, Shreehari tucked His white cloth around His waist, picked up a vessel of molten ghee, and personally served the seated rows of paramhansas. Encouraged by Jatanba’s hospitality, Shreehari exclaimed: “O sadhus! If each of you does not consume two seers of pure ghee today, you are bound by My oath!” Rivers of fragrant ghee poured over rice and jaggery, filling every ascetic with joy.
Afterwards, Jatanba presented four seers of thick, boiled milk infused with saffron, cardamom, nutmeg, and almonds. Shreehari relished the offering and blessed her: “O noble Jatanba! May you attain supreme eternal beatitude!”
In the courtyard gathering, Venibhai enquired anxiously: “O Lord! Will the young children who passed away in our family attain salvation?” Showering boundless grace, Shreehari declared: “Venibhai! If even a little sparrow flies across the roof of your house, We shall liberate it! Never doubt the salvation of your departed loved ones.” To seal this eternal promise, Shreehari took Venibhai’s hand into His own divine hand.
In Chapter 119 of the holy Bhakta Chintamani, Sadguru Nishkulanand Swami celebrates these devotees of Dangarwa: ‘Kaṇbī bhakta Veṇīdās vaḷī… Jatan Raḷiyāt Vajī jan, karyũ kaṇbīkuḷ pāvan!’
