કારીયાણીમાં તાવથી પીડાતા ધના પટેલને શ્રીહરિએ પોતાના ચરણનો અંગૂઠો બોળી જળ મોકલ્યું; ચરણામૃત પાન કરી પટેલ ક્ષણવારમાં પ્રભુના અક્ષરધામમાં સિધાવ્યા.
સૌરાષ્ટ્રના કારીયાણી ગામમાં દરબાર વસ્તા ખાચરના દરબારગઢમાં પૂર્ણ પુરુષોત્તમ શ્રીજીમહારાજ સંતમંડળ સહિત બિરાજમાન હતા.
એક દિવસે શ્રીહરિ સદ્ગુરુ શ્રી મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી, સદ્ગુરુ શ્રી બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી આદિક મોટા સંતોને સાથે લઈને વસ્તા ખાચરના દરબારગઢમાંથી નીકળી ગામના મંદિર તરફ પધારી રહ્યા હતા. માર્ગમાં ચાલતાં ચાલતાં ગામના કણબી હરિભક્ત ધના પટેલનું ઘર આવ્યું. તે સમયે ધના પટેલને આકરો તાવ આવેલો હોવાથી તેઓ પોતાની ઓસરીની એક કોરે ખાટલો ઢળાવીને સૂતા હતા.
ખાટલામાં સૂતેલા ધના પટેલને જોઈ શ્રીજીમહારાજે ધીમે રહીને મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીને કહ્યું: “સ્વામી! આ ધના પટેલનું આયુષ્ય હવે માત્ર ચાર ઘડી (આશરે દોઢથી બે કલાક) જ બાકી રહ્યું છે, તે હવે આ લોકમાં વધુ સમય રહેશે નહીં!” શ્રીહરિ અને મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી વચ્ચે ચાલતી આ ગંભીર વાત માર્ગની બાજુમાં ઊભેલા ધના પટેલના સગા મામાએ સાંભળી લીધી! તેઓ તત્કાળ દોડતા આવ્યા અને શ્રીહરિના ચરણોમાં સાષ્ટાંગ દંડવત કરી કરગરતાં વિનંતી કરવા લાગ્યા: “હે મહારાજ! મારા ભાણેજ ધનાને સખત તાવ આવ્યો છે અને શરીરે ઘણી અશક્તિ છે. આપ દયાળુ છો, કૃપા કરીને એના ખાટલે પધારી દર્શન આપો તો એનું કલ્યાણ થાય!”
ભક્તવત્સલ શ્રીહરિએ પ્રસન્ન થઈ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી પાસેથી પાણીનો એક કળશિયો (લોટો) મંગાવ્યો. શ્રીહરિએ પોતાના જમણા ચરણકમળનો અંગૂઠો એ નિર્મળ જળમાં બોળીને પરમ પાવન ચરણામૃત બનાવ્યું. લોટો મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીના હાથમાં સોંપતાં શ્રીહરિએ આજ્ઞા કરી: “મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી! તમે અને બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી બંને સંતો ધના પટેલના ઘેર જાઓ અને આ અમારું ચરણામૃત એને પ્રેમથી પાઓ! અને એને કહેજો કે અમે થોડી જ વારમાં એને અમારા અક્ષરધામમાં તેડી જવા માટે આવીએ છીએ!”
સદ્ગુરુ મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી અને બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી તત્કાળ માર્ગ પરથી પાછા વળ્યા અને ચરણામૃતનો લોટો લઈને ધના પટેલના ઘેર પધાર્યા. મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીએ ખાટલા પાસે જઈ અત્યંત સ્નેહથી ધના પટેલના મસ્તક પર હાથ ફેરવ્યો અને “જય સ્વામિનારાયણ” કહ્યા. સાક્ષાત્ મોટા સદ્ગુરુ સંતોને પોતાના આંગણે પધારેલા જોઈ ધના પટેલના અંતરમાં અનહદ આનંદ વ્યાપી ગયો. સ્વામીએ પ્રેમપૂર્વક શ્રીહરિના ચરણામૃતનું પવિત્ર જળ લોટામાંથી ધના પટેલના મુખમાં પાયું. ત્યારબાદ મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીએ અંતરનો બોધ આપતાં કહ્યું: “પટેલ! હવે ચિત્તમાંથી સંસારના તમામ વ્યવહારો અને સંકલ્પો સમેટી લ્યો અને શ્રીજીમહારાજની દિવ્ય મૂર્તિમાં મન પરોવી અખંડ ‘સ્વામિનારાયણ… સ્વામિનારાયણ…’ મહામંત્રનું રટણ કરો; સાક્ષાત્ પ્રભુ હમણાં જ આપને અક્ષરધામ તેડવા પધારે છે!”
ધના પટેલે હાથ જોડી સંતોને વંદન કર્યા અને એકતારે પ્રભુના નામસ્મરણમાં લીન થઈ ગયા. મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી અને બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી મંદિરે પરત પધાર્યા. બરાબર ચાર ઘડી પૂર્ણ થતાં જ સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીજીમહારાજ દિવ્ય તેજના અંબાર વચ્ચે પ્રગટ થયા! ધના પટેલને સાક્ષાત્ ચતુર્ભુજ દર્શન આપી, પ્રભુએ તેમને દિવ્ય રથમાં બેસાડી પોતાના પરમ શાશ્વત અક્ષરધામમાં પધરાવી લીધા!

कारियाणी में धना पटेल की चार घड़ी की आयु, श्रीहरि का चरणामृत और अक्षरधाम गमन
कारियाणी में वस्ता खाचर के दरबार से मंदिर जाते समय श्रीजीमहाराज ने बीमार धना पटेल को देखकर मुक्तानंद स्वामी से कहा: “धना पटेल की आयु केवल चार घड़ी शेष है!”
धना के मामा ने यह सुनकर प्रभु से प्रार्थना की। श्रीहरि ने जल के लोटे में अपने दाहिने पैर का अँगूठा डुबोकर चरणामृत बनाया और मुक्तानंद स्वामी तथा ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी को देकर कहा: “यह चरणामृत धना को पिलाओ, हम शीघ्र ही उसे अक्षरधाम ले जाएँगे!”
संतों ने जाकर चरणामृत पिलाया और प्रभु का ध्यान करने को कहा। ठीक चार घड़ी पश्चात श्रीजीमहाराज ने प्रकट होकर धना पटेल को अक्षरधाम पहुँचा दिया।

Dhana Patel of Kariyani: Four Ghadis of Life Remaining, Shreehari’s Sanctified Water, and Final Liberation
In the village of Kariyani in Saurashtra, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj was residing at the royal court of Darbar Vasta Khachar alongside a venerable assembly of holy sadhus.
One morning, Shreehari set out from Vasta Khachar’s palace toward the village mandir, accompanied by Sadguru Muktanand Swami, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami, and senior ascetics. Along the pathway stood the modest home of a devoted farmer named Dhana Patel. Dhana was stricken with an intense, debilitating fever and lay shivering upon a wooden cot laid out along the front veranda.
Gazing upon the bedridden devotee, Shreeji Maharaj softly remarked to Muktanand Swami: “Swami! Dhana Patel has merely four ghadis (approx. ninety minutes) of life remaining in his earthly span; he will not linger much longer in this mortal realm!” Overhearing this fateful prediction between Maharaj and Muktanand Swami, Dhana Patel’s maternal uncle rushed forward, collapsed in the dust at Shreehari’s holy feet, and implored with tears: “O Maharaj! My nephew Dhana is severely afflicted with burning fever and is fading fast. You are the ocean of mercy; kindly grace his bedside with Your divine darshan so that his soul may attain eternal salvation!”
Moved by compassion, Shreehari asked Brahmanand Swami to fetch a bronze pot filled with fresh, pure water. Dipping the big toe of His right lotus foot into the water, Maharaj sanctified it into supreme nectar (charnamrut). Handing the holy vessel to Muktanand Swami, Shreehari commanded: “Muktanand Swami! Proceed with Brahmanand Swami to Dhana Patel’s house and lovingly administer this charnamrut to him! Tell him that within a few moments, We shall arrive in person to escort him to Our eternal abode of Akshardham!”
Sadguru Muktanand Swami and Brahmanand Swami turned back at once, carrying the vessel of sanctified water to Dhana Patel’s courtyard. Approaching the cot, Muktanand Swami tenderly caressed Dhana’s brow and greeted him with “Jay Swaminarayan!” Beholding the revered senior sadhus gracing his humble bedside, Dhana Patel’s heart surged with transcendental joy. Swami gently poured the divine charnamrut into Dhana’s mouth, and then imparted elevating final counsel: “Patel! Withdraw all your senses from mundane worldly affairs, anchor your consciousness exclusively upon the enchanting divine form of Shreeji Maharaj, and chant ‘Swaminarayan… Swaminarayan…’ with every remaining breath; the Supreme Lord Himself is arriving momentarily to escort you home!”
Dhana Patel bowed with folded hands and immersed his mind in undivided contemplation of the Lord. As Muktanand Swami and Brahmanand Swami returned to the mandir, precisely as the four ghadis elapsed, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj manifested before Dhana Patel amidst a brilliant shower of divine light! Granting him direct darshan, the Lord seated Dhana in a celestial chariot and escorted his liberated soul triumphantly to the eternal bliss of Akshardham!
