કણભામાં મંદિર વિસ્તરણ માટે વચનસિદ્ધ સંત સદગુરુ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામીની પ્રેમયુક્તિ સાંભળી તુલસીદાસ પટેલની માતાએ પુત્ર પાસે જમીનનો દસ્તાવેજ કરાવી અક્ષરધામનું શ્રેય સાધ્યું.
એક વખત વચનસિદ્ધ અને સમર્થ સંત સદગુરુ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી પોતાના સંતમંડળ સાથે સત્સંગ વિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં ગુજરાતના કણભા ગામે પધાર્યા. ગામમાં નાનું છતાં અત્યંત સુંદર હરિમંદિર હતું; સંતોએ ત્યાં ઉતારો કર્યો. ગામમાં અનેક સત્સંગીઓ હોવાથી સૌએ સ્વામીને થોડા દિવસ રોકાઈ જવા આગ્રહભરી વિનંતી કરી. સંતો રોકાયા ખરા, પણ મંદિરની જગ્યા ખૂબ નાની હોવાથી સંતો-હરિભક્તોને બેસવા-રહેવાની અગવડ પડતી હતી. સ્વામીએ હરિભક્તોને કહ્યું, “જો થોડી વધારાની જગ્યા મળે તો આ મંદિર મોટું બનાવીએ!”
હરિભક્તોએ જણાવ્યું, “સ્વામી! મંદિરની બાજુમાં તુલસીદાસ પટેલનું મકાન છે. તેઓ પણ સત્સંગી છે; જો તેઓ પોતાનું મકાન મંદિર માટે આપી દે, તો મંદિરનો વિસ્તાર થઈ શકે અને સંકડાશ મટી જાય.” સદગુરુ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામીએ તુલસીદાસ પટેલને બોલાવી મંદિર સારુ મકાન વેચાતું આપવા વાત કરી, પરંતુ તુલસીદાસે અનિચ્છા દર્શાવી મકાન આપવાની સાફ ના પાડી દીધી.
બીજે દિવસે સ્વામી મંદિરમાં બેઠા બેઠા શ્રીહરિનું સ્મરણ કરતાં માળા ફેરવી રહ્યા હતા. એ જ સમયે તુલસીદાસનાં વૃદ્ધ માતુશ્રી મંદિરે દર્શને આવ્યાં. સ્વામીએ ડોશીમાને આવતાં જોયાં એટલે એક ચતુર યુક્તિ અજમાવી. પાસે બેઠેલા બીજા હરિભક્ત સાથે વાત કરતા હોય તેમ મોટેથી બોલવા લાગ્યા, “આપણો તુલસીદાસ એ પણ સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાનનો સેવક અને અમે પણ સ્વામિનારાયણના જ સેવક! એ પણ પ્રભુનું ભજન કરે છે અને અમે પણ એ જ પ્રભુનું ભજન કરીએ છીએ. તો તુલસીદાસનાં માતા એ જ અમારાં પણ માતા કહેવાય ને! માતાને તો બંને પુત્રો પ્રત્યે સરખો જ પ્રેમ હોય! હવે જો માવડી ભેદભાવ ન રાખે તો પ્રભુનું મંદિર મોટું થાય!”
થોડે દૂર ઊભાં રહી દર્શન કરતાં કરતાં ડોશીમા સ્વામીના આ માર્મિક શબ્દો સાંભળી ગયાં. તેમણે એક હરિભક્તને બોલાવી સ્વામીના વચનનો સાચો અર્થ જાણ્યો. તુલસીદાસનાં માતુશ્રીએ તરત કહ્યું, “સ્વામીને કહેજો કે જરાય ચિંતા ન કરે! હું હમણાં જ ઘેર જઈને તુલસીદાસને સમજાવું છું. મંદિરને જેટલી જમીન જોઈતી હશે એટલી મારો તુલસી લખી આપશે. સ્વામી અમારા પર રાજી રહે અને આશીર્વાદ આપે!”
ઘેર પહોંચીને માતાએ તુલસીદાસને ઠપકો આપતાં કહ્યું, “તુરંત મંદિરે જા, સ્વામીની માફી માંગ અને મંદિર માટે જેટલી જમીન જોઈએ તેટલી તરત લખી આપ! આવા મોટા સંતને રાજી કરીને આશીર્વાદ લે!” માતૃશ્રીનો આદેશ થતાં જ તુલસીદાસ દોડતા મંદિરે આવ્યા, સ્વામીના ચરણોમાં ક્ષમા માંગી અને માપણી કરાવીને મંદિર માટે જમીનનો પાકો દસ્તાવેજ કરી આપ્યો.
સદગુરુ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી તુલસીદાસ પટેલ અને તેમનાં માતુશ્રી પર અત્યંત પ્રસન્ન થયા. સ્વામીના આશીર્વાદથી તેમનો પરિવાર સર્વ પ્રકારે સુખી અને સમૃદ્ધ થયો. સમય જતાં અંતકાળ નજીક આવતાં તુલસીદાસનાં માતુશ્રીએ સૌને કહ્યું, “સહુ શ્રીહરિનું અખંડ ભજન કરજો; હું તો સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીજીમહારાજ અને સદગુરુ મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી સાથે દિવ્ય અક્ષરધામમાં જાઉં છું!” આમ કહી તેમણે પવિત્ર દેહ ત્યાગી અક્ષરધામ પ્રાપ્ત કર્યું.

कणभा में सद्गुरु महानुभावानंद स्वामी की युक्ति से तुलसीदास पटेल की मंदिर-सेवा और मातृश्री का मोक्ष
एक बार वचनसिद्ध एवं समर्थ संत सद्गुरु महानुभावानंद स्वामी अपने संत-मंडल के साथ सत्संग विचरण करते हुए गुजरात के कणभा गाँव पधारे। गाँव में एक छोटा किंतु सुंदर हरिमंदिर था, जहाँ संतों ने विश्राम किया। भक्तों के अत्यधिक आग्रह पर संत वहाँ रुके, किंतु मंदिर परिसर अत्यंत संकीर्ण होने के कारण संतों एवं भक्तों को असुविधा होती थी। स्वामी ने कहा, “यदि थोड़ी भूमि और मिले तो मंदिर का विस्तार किया जा सकता है।”
भक्तों ने सुझाव दिया, “पास में ही सत्संगी तुलसीदास पटेल का मकान है; यदि वे मंदिर हेतु वह भूमि दे दें, तो स्थान की समस्या हल हो सकती है।” स्वामी ने तुलसीदास को बुलाकर मंदिर के लिए भूमि देने को कहा, किंतु उन्होंने असहमति जताते हुए स्पष्ट मना कर दिया।
अगले दिन जब स्वामी माला फेर रहे थे, तभी तुलसीदास की वयोवृद्ध माताजी दर्शनार्थ आईं। स्वामी ने उन्हें देखते ही अन्य भक्तों से बात करने के बहाने प्रेमपूर्वक उच्च स्वर में कहा, “हमारा तुलसीदास भी स्वामिनारायण भगवान का सेवक है और हम भी स्वामिनारायण के ही सेवक हैं! वह भी भजन करता है और हम भी प्रभु का भजन करते हैं। अतः तुलसीदास की माता हमारी भी माता हुईं! माता तो दोनों पुत्रों को समान प्रेम करती है; यदि माँ भेदभाव न करे तो प्रभु का मंदिर विशाल बन जाए!”
दूर खड़ी माताजी ने स्वामी के ये भावपूर्ण शब्द सुने और भक्तों से पूरी बात समझी। उन्होंने तुरंत कहा, “स्वामीजी से कहिए कि वे तनिक भी चिंता न करें; मैं अभी जाकर तुलसीदास को समझाती हूँ। मंदिर को जितनी भूमि चाहिए, मेरा तुलसी अवश्य देगा!”
घर पहुँचकर माता ने पुत्र को आदेश दिया, “तुरंत मंदिर जाओ, स्वामीजी से क्षमा माँगो और मंदिर के लिए जितनी भूमि आवश्यक हो, तुरंत अर्पित करो!” माता की आज्ञा पाते ही तुलसीदास दौड़कर मंदिर आए, स्वामी के चरणों में क्षमा याचना की और आवश्यक भूमि की रजिस्ट्री मंदिर के नाम कर दी।
सद्गुरु महानुभावानंद स्वामी अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और परिवार को फलीभूत होने का आशीर्वाद दिया। समय पाकर अंतकाल में तुलसीदास की माताजी ने परिजनों से कहा, “तुम सब प्रभु का नित्य भजन करना; मैं साक्षात् श्रीहरि और सद्गुरु महानुभावानंद स्वामी के संग दिव्य अक्षरधाम जा रही हूँ!” और वे प्रभुधाम सिधार गईं।

Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami’s Divine Wisdom Inspiring Tulsidas Patel’s Mandir Land Donation in Kanbha
Once, the spiritually accomplished Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami arrived at the village of Kanbha in Gujarat along with his monastic group. The village possessed a small yet beautiful Hari Mandir, where the saints lodged. Due to the fervent prayers of the local devotees, Swami agreed to stay for a few days. However, the existing temple space was quite cramped, causing inconvenience during religious discourses. Swami mentioned to the devotees, “If some adjoining land becomes available, we could expand this temple nicely.”
The devotees replied, “Swami! Adjacent to the mandir is the property of Tulsidas Patel, who is also a devotee. If he donates his house for the temple, the shortage of space will be resolved.” Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami spoke with Tulsidas Patel proposing to purchase the property, but Tulsidas showed reluctance and declined.
The following morning, as Swami sat in the temple meditating upon Shrihari, Tulsidas’s elderly mother arrived for darshan. Seeing her approach, Swami employed a loving stratagem. Speaking loudly to a nearby devotee as if in casual conversation, Swami remarked, “Our Tulsidas is a devotee of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and we too are servants of Swaminarayan! He sings the Lord’s praises, and so do we. Therefore, Tulsidas’s mother is our mother as well! A mother loves both her sons equally; now if the mother shows no partiality, the Lord’s temple can surely be expanded!”
Standing nearby, the pious mother overheard Swami’s profound words. She inquired of a devotee and grasped the context. She immediately conveyed, “Tell Swami not to worry at all! I shall go home at once and instruct Tulsidas. However much land the temple requires, my son shall deed it over!”
Returning home, she sternly instructed Tulsidas, “Rush to the temple this instant, seek forgiveness from Swami, and register whatever land is needed in the temple’s name! Earn the blessings of such a great saint!” Bound by his mother’s righteous directive, Tulsidas hurried to the mandir, fell at Swami’s feet seeking pardon, had the land measured, and executed the legal deed for the temple.
Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami was immensely pleased with Tulsidas Patel and showered divine blessings upon the entire family, ensuring their all-round prosperity. Later in life, when the devout mother approached her final moments, she joyfully informed her family, “Continue your devotion to Shrihari; I am now departing for the divine Akshardham in the holy company of Shreeji Maharaj and Sadguru Mahanubhavanand Swami!” With these peaceful words, she attained the eternal abode.
