જૂનાગઢમાં નાગરોની પરીક્ષા વેળા ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ સમાધિસ્થ સંતના હાથમાં લીલા લવિંગ પ્રગટાવ્યા; અગ્રણી ચકુભાઈ નાગરને અંતકાળે શ્રીહરિ વિમાનમાં ધામ લઈ ગયા.
એક સમયની વાત છે, સર્વતંત્ર સ્વતંત્ર યોગીરાજ સદગુરુ શ્રી ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી સંતમંડળ સહિત સોરઠના પાટનગર જૂનાગઢ પધાર્યા હતા. જૂનાગઢ મંદિરમાં સર્વે સંતો અને હરિભક્તોની વિશાળ સભા ભરીને સ્વામી પરબ્રહ્મ શ્રીજીમહારાજના સર્વોપરી મહિમાની અમૃતવાતો કરતા હતા.
તે સમયે જૂનાગઢની પ્રતિષ્ઠિત નાગર જ્ઞાતિના મુખી અને અગ્રણી ચકુભાઈ નાગર તથા તેમના ભાઈઓ સભામાં દર્શનાર્થે આવ્યા અને સ્વામીની સન્મુખ બેઠા. ચકુભાઈ નાગરે હાથ જોડી જિજ્ઞાસાપૂર્વક અરજ કરી: “હે સ્વામી! અમે સાંભળ્યું છે કે આપના સંપ્રદાયમાં સંતો લોકોને સહજમાં સમાધિ કરાવી દે છે. શું આપ અમને પણ સમાધિનું પ્રત્યક્ષ દર્શન કરાવી શકો?”
સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ તત્કાળ સભામાં બેઠેલા કેશવદાસજી સ્વામી સામે દ્રષ્ટિ કરી. સ્વામીની માત્ર એક જ દિવ્ય દ્રષ્ટિ પડતાં જ કેશવદાસજી સ્વામીનું સ્થૂળ શરીર કાષ્ઠવત્ થઈ ગયું અને તેઓ પરમ સમાધિમાં લીન થઈ અક્ષરધામ અને ગોલોકમાં પહોંચી ગયા! ચકુભાઈ તથા ઉપસ્થિત નાગર વિદ્વાનોએ કેશવદાસજી સ્વામીની નાડી, શ્વાસોચ્છ્વાસ અને હૃદયના ધબકારા તપાસ્યા, પરંતુ પ્રાણના કોઈ સંચાર જોવા ન મળ્યા! સમગ્ર શરીર એકદમ શાંત અને શૂન્યવત્ થઈ ગયું હતું.
નાગરોને આશ્ચર્ય થયું છતાં ચકુભાઈએ પૂછ્યું: “સ્વામી! આ સાધુ જ્યારે સમાધિમાંથી જાગૃત થશે, ત્યારે પરલોકમાંથી કોઈ પ્રત્યક્ષ નિશાની કે પ્રસાદી લાવી શકશે?” ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ ગંભીરતાથી કહ્યું: “હા, તેઓ સમાધિમાંથી પાછા ફરશે ત્યારે ગોલોકમાંથી પ્રભુની પ્રસાદી રૂપે તાજાં લીલાં લવિંગ અને સાકર લઈને આવશે!”
ત્યારબાદ સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ બે કલાક સુધી અસ્ખલિત વાણીમાં નાગરો અને સમગ્ર સભાને આત્મજ્ઞાન અને ઉપાસનાનો ગહન બોધ આપ્યો. સભા પૂર્ણ થતાં નાગરોએ સ્વામીને વિનંતી કરી: “સ્વામી! હવે આ સાધુને સમાધિમાંથી પાછા લાવો.” ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ કેશવદાસજી સ્વામી તરફ સંકલ્પ દ્રષ્ટિ કરી, એટલે તેઓ તત્કાળ સમાધિમાંથી સચેત થઈ બેઠા થયા! સૌના મહાન આશ્ચર્ય વચ્ચે, કેશવદાસજી સ્વામીની એક બંધ મુઠ્ઠીમાં તાજાં રસઝરતાં લીલાં લવિંગ અને બીજી મુઠ્ઠીમાં શુદ્ધ સાકર ભરેલી હતી!
પૃથ્વી પર અપ્રાપ્ય એવાં લીલાં લવિંગ અને દિવ્ય સાકરની પ્રસાદી જોઈ ચકુભાઈ નાગર અને સર્વે નાગર સદગૃહસ્થોની આંખો ખુલી ગઈ. તેમને પ્રતીતિ થઈ કે સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયના સંતો સાક્ષાત્ ઈશ્વરીય સામર્થ્ય ધરાવે છે. ચકુભાઈ અને તેમના ભાઈઓએ તત્કાળ કંઠી ધારણ કરી, પંચવર્તમાન ગ્રહણ કર્યા અને આજીવન અનન્ય સત્સંગી બન્યા. ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ એ દિવ્ય લવિંગ અને સાકરની પ્રસાદી સભામાં સહુને વહેંચી.
ચકુભાઈ નાગર અને તેમના લઘુબંધુ ત્રિકમભાઈ ઉત્તમ ગવૈયા હતા. તેમણે સદગુરુ પ્રેમાનંદ સ્વામી પાસેથી શાસ્ત્રીય સંગીત અને કીર્તન ગાનની તાલીમ લીધી હતી. તેઓએ આજીવન નિયમ-ધર્મનું ચુસ્ત પાલન કર્યું. સમય જતાં જ્યારે આચાર્યશ્રી રઘુવીરજી મહારાજ, આચાર્યશ્રી ભગવતપ્રસાદજી મહારાજ અને છેલ્લે આચાર્યશ્રી વિહારીલાલજી મહારાજ જૂનાગઢ પધારતા, ત્યારે ચકુભાઈ તેમને ભાવવાહી કીર્તનો સંભળાવી રાજીપો પ્રાપ્ત કરતા.
વર્ષો બાદ ચકુભાઈ નાગર વૃદ્ધ થયા અને તેમનો અંતકાળ નજીક આવ્યો. તે સમયે સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીજીમહારાજ દિવ્ય વિમાન, સુવર્ણ પાલખી અને શણગારેલા ઐરાવત હાથી સાથે અનંત મુક્તોને લઈ ચકુભાઈને તેડવા પધાર્યા! આ અલૌકિક દ્રશ્ય જૂનાગઢના અન્ય પ્રતિષ્ઠિત હરિભક્ત ગોવિંદરાય આદિને પ્રત્યક્ષ દેખાયું. ગોવિંદરાયે આશ્ચર્યથી પૂછતાં શ્રીહરિએ હસીને કહ્યું: “આજે અમે અમારા પ્રેમી ભક્ત ચકુભાઈ નાગરને તેડવા આવ્યા છીએ!” શ્રીહરિ ચકુભાઈને દિવ્ય વિમાનમાં બેસાડી પોતાના પરમ અક્ષરધામમાં લઈ ગયા.
ચકુભાઈના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર પૂર્ણ કરી ગોવિંદરાય વગેરે હરિભક્તોએ મંદિરે આવી સંતો સમક્ષ કબૂલ કર્યું: “સ્વામી! કથાવાર્તામાં આપ કહેતા કે અંતકાળે ભગવાન પોતે તેડવા આવે છે, ત્યારે અમને સામાન્ય વાત લાગતી; પરંતુ આજે શ્રીહરિને સાક્ષાત્ વિમાન સાથે ચકુભાઈને તેડવા પધારેલા પોતાની નજરે જોઈ અમને શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાનના સર્વોપરી પરિપૂર્ણપણાનો અચળ નિશ્ચય થયો છે!”

जूनागढ़ में गोपालानंद स्वामी द्वारा नागरों को समाधि, हरे लौंग-मिश्री की प्रसादी और चकुभाई का अक्षरधाम गमन
जूनागढ़ में सदगुरु श्री गोपालानंद स्वामी की सभा में नागर ज्ञाति के मुखिया चकुभाई नागर ने समाधि का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण माँगा।
गोपालानंद स्वामी की कृपा दृष्टि से केशवदासजी स्वामी तुरंत गहरी समाधि में चले गए। नागरों ने नाड़ी और श्वास की जाँच की, जो पूर्णतः बंद थी। चकुभाई ने पूछा कि क्या वे परलोक से कोई निशानी ला सकते हैं? स्वामी ने कहा कि वे गोलोक से हरे लौंग और मिश्री लाएँगे।
दो घंटे बाद समाधि से जागने पर केशवदासजी की मुट्ठियों में ताजे हरे लौंग और मिश्री देखकर नागर आश्चर्यचकित रह गए। चकुभाई सहित सभी नागरों ने कंठी धारण कर सत्संग अपनाया।
चकुभाई उच्च कोटि के गायक बने और उन्होंने प्रेमानंद स्वामी से कीर्तन सीखकर आचार्यों को प्रसन्न किया। अंत समय में श्रीजीमहाराज स्वयं दिव्य विमान, पालकी और ऐरावत हाथी लेकर चकुभाई को लेने पधारे, जिसका प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन गोविंदराय आदि भक्तों ने किया।

Sadguru Gopalanand Swami Grants Samadhi to Junagadh Nagars, Manifests Fresh Cloves and Sugar Candy, and Chakubhai’s Final Ascent
On one occasion, the sovereign master of yoga, Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swami, arrived in Junagadh accompanied by an assembly of holy sadhus. Seated in the Junagadh mandir, Swami delivered profound discourses on the supreme glory and divine attributes of Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj.
Hearing of the gathering, Chakubhai Nagar—a prominent community leader of the scholarly Nagar caste in Junagadh—arrived with his brothers and sat before Swami. Approaching with folded hands, Chakubhai inquired: “O Swami! We have heard that in the Swaminarayan fellowship, sadhus effortlessly induce deep spiritual trances (samadhi). Can you grant us direct proof and witness of this phenomenon?”
Sadguru Gopalanand Swami cast a single focused spiritual glance toward Sadguru Keshavdasji Swami, who was seated nearby. Instantly, Keshavdasji Swami’s physical body became rigid as wood, entering a deep transcendent samadhi reaching the celestial realms of Golok and Akshardham! Chakubhai and the learned Nagar scholars closely examined Keshavdasji Swami’s pulse, respiration, and heartbeat, but discovered complete stillness—the physical life-breath was utterly suspended.
Astounded yet seeking undeniable evidence, Chakubhai asked: “Swami! When this sadhu awakens from samadhi, can he bring back an authentic object from the celestial realm as tangible proof?” Gopalanand Swami calmly replied: “Indeed; when he returns from samadhi, he shall bring back fresh green cloves (lila laving) and pure sugar candy directly from Golok as consecrated prasadi!”
For the next two hours, Gopalanand Swami delivered an enthralling spiritual discourse to the captivated audience. When the assembly concluded, the Nagars requested: “Swami, please awaken the sadhu now.” Gopalanand Swami cast his divine glance upon Keshavdasji Swami, who instantly awakened and sat upright. To the utter amazement of everyone present, Keshavdasji Swami opened his closed fists: in one hand rested fresh, succulent green cloves entirely unknown in local markets, and in the other lay lumps of celestial sugar candy!
Beholding this undeniable miracle, the skepticism of Chakubhai Nagar and his brothers vanished. Convinced of the supreme spiritual authority of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and His sadhus, they formally accepted initiation (kanthi), pledged the five moral vows, and became staunch lifelong disciples. Gopalanand Swami distributed the fragrant cloves and sugar candy to all present.
Chakubhai and his brother Trikambhai were gifted vocalists. They learned classical devotional singing directly from the poet-saint Sadguru Premanand Swami. Throughout their lives, they strictly maintained their spiritual discipline. Over the decades, whenever Acharya Raghuvirji Maharaj, Acharya Bhagwatprasadji Maharaj, and in his advanced age, Acharya Viharilalji Maharaj visited Junagadh, Chakubhai delighted them with his soulful devotional singing.
Decades later, when Chakubhai reached his final days, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj Himself descended from Akshardham in a resplendent celestial chariot (viman), accompanied by a golden palanquin, a majestic celestial elephant (Airavata), and countless liberated souls! This glorious divine spectacle was witnessed with physical eyes by respected Junagadh householder Govindray and others. When Govindray inquired in awe, Shreehari smiled and revealed: “Today We have arrived to personally escort Our beloved devotee Chakubhai Nagar to Our eternal abode!” Shreehari seated Chakubhai in the divine chariot and ascended to Akshardham.
After performing Chakubhai’s last rites, Govindray and the devotees gathered at the temple and openly testified before the sadhus: “Until today, we assumed statements in kathas about the Lord personally escorting devotees at their end were figurative; but witnessing Shreehari descend in person with celestial chariots to take Chakubhai has granted us absolute conviction in the supreme divinity of Bhagwan Swaminarayan!”
