ગોરડકામાં દાદા ખાચરની જાન વખતે અગાઉનું વચન પાળવા ઉગા ચાંદુના ઘેર પધારેલા અંતર્યામી શ્રીહરિએ પટારામાં ગુપ્ત રાખેલો સોનાનો વેઢ અને સો રૂપિયા માગી લઈ પત્ની લાડુબાઈને દિવ્ય પરચો આપ્યો.
પીઠવડીથી આશરે ૧૫ કિલોમીટરના અંતરે ગોરડકા ગામ આવેલું છે. આ ગામના કાઠી દરબાર ઉગા ચાંદુ શ્રીજીમહારાજના અનન્ય, નિષ્ઠાવાન અને શૂરવીર ભક્ત હતા. એક વખત ગામના ચોરે એક ગઢવી આવીને શ્રીહરિ વિશે દ્વેષપૂર્ણ વચનો બોલવા લાગ્યો ત્યારે ઉગા ચાંદુએ વીરતાપૂર્વક કહ્યું, “ગઢવા! મૂંગો મરજે! મારા ઈષ્ટદેવ વિશે ખોટું બોલીશ તો જીવથી જઈશ!” તેમનું રૌદ્ર સ્વરૂપ જોઈ નિંદક તરત ભાગી ગયો હતો. તેમના રોમેરોમમાં શ્રીહરિ પ્રત્યે અનન્ય ખુમારી હતી.
શ્રીજીમહારાજ જ્યારે દાદા ખાચરના વિવાહ અર્થે જાન લઈને ભટ્ટવદર જતાં રસ્તામાં ગોરડકા પધાર્યા, ત્યારે ગામના પાદરે જાન થોડો સમય રોકાઈ. ભક્તોએ જાનૈયાઓને સુખડીનું ભાતું જમાડ્યું. તે દરમિયાન ભક્તવત્સલ શ્રીજીમહારાજ પોતાના ભક્ત ઉગા ચાંદુને આપેલું અગાઉનું વચન પાળવા માટે ગામમાં તેમના ઘેર પધાર્યા. ઉગાભાઈ થોડા સમય પૂર્વે જ અક્ષરધામ સિધાવી ગયા હતા. તેમનાં પવિત્ર ધર્મપત્ની લાડુબાઈએ ઓસરીમાં ઢોલિયો ઢાળી શ્રીહરિને બિરાજમાન કર્યા અને આંખોમાં પ્રેમાશ્રુ સાથે પ્રણામ કર્યા.
લાડુબાઈએ હાથ જોડીને કહ્યું, “હે મહારાજ! ગઢપુરમાં આપે મારા પતિદેવને કોલ આપ્યો હતો કે ‘તમે ઘેર હશો કે નહીં, પણ અમે જરૂર તમારે ઘેર પધારીશું!’ આજે આપે એ વચન સત્ય કરી બતાવ્યું!”
લાડુબાઈના મનમાં એક ગુપ્ત વિચાર ચાલતો હતો: ‘મારા પતિએ ધામમાં જતાં પહેલાં મને એક સોનાનો વેઢ (વીંટી) અને સો રૂપિયા રોકડા આપીને કહ્યું હતું કે સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાન જ્યારે આપણા ઘેર પધારે ત્યારે જ આ ભેટ આપજો. તે વાતની મારા સિવાય કોઈને ખબર નથી. જો શ્રીહરિ સાચા અંતર્યામી પરમેશ્વર હોય તો મારી પાસે સામેથી એ બંને વસ્તુઓ માગીને લે!’
લાડુબાઈ મનમાં આવો સંકલ્પ કરી રહ્યાં હતાં, બરાબર એ જ ક્ષણે ઘટઘટના જાણહાર શ્રીજીમહારાજે હસીને કહ્યું, “લાડુબાઈ! અમારા ભક્ત ઉગાભાઈએ અમારા માટે પટારામાં જે સોનાનો વેઢ અને સો રૂપિયા મુકાવ્યા છે તે લાવો!” આ સાંભળતાં જ લાડુબાઈનો સંશય વિલીન થઈ ગયો અને પ્રભુના અંતર્યામીપણાની સો ટકા પ્રતીતિ થઈ! તેમણે તુરંત પટારો ખોલી સોનાનો વેઢ અને સો રૂપિયા શ્રીહરિના પાવન ચરણોમાં અર્પણ કરી દીધા.

गोरड़का में उगा चांदु का वचन-पालन: दादा खाचर की बारात के समय पधारे श्रीहरि ने संदूक से सोने का छल्ला स्वीकारा
पीठवड़ी के निकट गोरड़का गाँव के काठी दरबार उगा चांदु श्रीहरि के परम शूरवीर एवं अनन्य निष्ठावान भक्त थे।
जब श्रीजी महाराज दादा खाचर की बारात लेकर जा रहे थे, तब गोरड़का में थोड़े समय के लिए बारात रुकी। प्रभु अपने भक्त उगा चांदु को दिया हुआ पूर्व वचन निभाने उनके घर पधारे। उगा चांदु का कुछ समय पूर्व ही देहावसान हो गया था। उनकी धर्मपत्नी लाडूबाई ने प्रभु को खाट पर बिठाकर अश्रुपूरित नयनों से वंदन किया।
लाडूबाई ने मन में गुप्त विचार किया: ‘पतिदेव ने देहांत से पूर्व एक सोने का छल्ला (अंगूठी) और सौ रुपये संदूक में रखकर कहा था कि जब श्रीहरि आएँ तो उन्हें भेंट करना। यदि स्वामी अंतर्यामी हैं, तो वे स्वयं यह दोनों वस्तुएँ मुझसे मांगेंगे!’
उसी क्षण अंतर्यामी श्रीहरि ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा, “लाडूबाई! हमारे भक्त उगा चांदु ने संदूक में जो सोने का छल्ला और सौ रुपये रखवाए हैं, वह हमें दीजिए!” लाडूबाई ने प्रभु की सर्वज्ञता देखकर नतमस्तक होकर तुरंत वे वस्तुएँ प्रभु चरणों में समर्पित कर दीं।

Uga Chandu of Goradka: Shrihari’s Fulfillment of Promise during Dada Khachar’s Wedding Procession and the Gold Ring Offering
In the village of Goradka near Pithvadi lived Uga Chandu, a noble Kathi chieftain possessing ferocious and unshakable conviction in Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
When Shreeji Maharaj accompanied the wedding procession of Dada Khachar traveling toward Bhattvadar, the entourage paused at the outskirts of Goradka. True to a divine promise made earlier to Uga Chandu, Shrihari walked into the village to visit his home. Uga Chandu had recently passed away into Akshardham, and his devout widow, Ladubai, welcomed Maharaj with profound reverence, preparing a comfortable seat for Him on the veranda.
With folded hands and weeping eyes, Ladubai said, “O Maharaj! You promised my husband in Gadhpur: ‘Whether you are physically present or not, We shall surely visit your home!’ Today, You have fulfilled Your holy word!”
Silently in her heart, Ladubai harbored an unspoken test: ‘Before his passing, my husband entrusted me with a gold ring and one hundred silver rupees, strictly instructing me to keep them locked in the wooden chest until Swaminarayan Himself visits and asks for them. If Shrihari is truly the omniscient Supreme Being, He will ask for these two exact items without a hint from me!’
As this thought crossed her mind, the omniscient Shrihari smiled warmly and spoke: “Ladubai! Please fetch the gold ring and the one hundred silver rupees that Our dear devotee Uga Chandu locked inside your chest for Us!” Deeply awestruck by this instant display of omniscience, Ladubai opened the chest and placed the gold ring and coins at Shrihari’s lotus feet in absolute surrender.
