Child Ghanshyam Rescues Servants Crushed by a Mango Tree at Gauda, Krishna’s Garland, and King Gumansinh’s Faith
In His divine childhood, Supreme Lord Ghanshyam traveled with His father Dharmadev and elder brother Rampratapji to the nearby village of Gauda to purchase household goods, resting at Baba Ramdas’s hermitage in Kunjgali. While Dharmadev performed evening prayers by the lake, child Ghanshyam stood on the bank holding a small cane stick.
Nearby, five royal servants of King Gumansinh were felling a massive mango tree. Suddenly, the gigantic trunk crashed down, crushing all five servants underneath!
Witnessing this, young Ghanshyam stepped forward and, with an effortless flick of His small cane stick, lifted and tossed the colossal tree trunk aside, rescuing all five men unharmed! The amazed servants prostrated at His lotus feet and reported the miracle to King Gumansinh.
That evening during aarti at Baba Ramdas’s temple, a dazzling light emanated from the murti of Lord Krishna on the altar. Lord Krishna visibly manifested, removed His own flower garland, placed it around young Ghanshyam’s neck, and merged back into the murti! Mahant Ramdas bowed in reverence.
King Gumansinh summoned Dharmadev and Ghanshyam to the royal court. Knowing sacred scriptures declare that the Supreme Lord casts no shadow, possesses all sixteen celestial marks on His soles, and has arms reaching down to His knees (Ajanbahu), the King scrutinized young Ghanshyam. Stepping into the sunlit courtyard, child Ghanshyam cast no shadow whatsoever, His soles displayed the sixteen divine marks, and His arms were unmistakably ajanbahu! Overcome with reverence, King Gumansinh and his royal household surrendered to child Ghanshyam.
