બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ ધર્મકુળના મહિમાનાં કીર્તનો ગાઈ શ્રીહરિને રીઝવ્યા; શ્રીહરિએ સ્વામીને ધર્મકુળના દશોંદી કહી દહીંવડાંનો થાળ જમાડાવ્યો.
પરબ્રહ્મ શ્રીજીમહારાજ ગઢપુરમાં દાદાખાચરના દરબારગઢમાં લિંબતરુ તળે બિરાજમાન હતા. નિત્ય સભામાં અષ્ટનંદ કવિ સંતો ભક્તિભાવથી કીર્તનો ગાઈને શ્રીહરિને રીઝવતા હતા.
એક દિવસે સભામાં સદગુરુ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી પધાર્યા. શ્રીહરિના દર્શન કરીને સ્વામીએ પોતાના સિતારના તાર ઝણઝણાવ્યા અને ગંભીર ચારણી શૈલીમાં શીઘ્રકાવ્ય રચીને ધર્મવંશના અલૌકિક મહિમાનાં કીર્તનો સભામાં ગાયાં. સ્વામીની આવી અદ્ભુત કાવ્યધારા અને ભક્તિથી અતિ પ્રસન્ન થઈ શ્રીજીમહારાજે પોતાને ઓઢવાનો એક સુંદર નવો ચોફાળ સ્વામીને ઓઢાડ્યો.
ત્યારે બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી હાથ જોડીને સ્નેહપૂર્વક બોલ્યા, “હે મહારાજ! આપે મને આ નવો ચોફાળ આપ્યો, તેના કરતાં આપનો જૂનો, અંગસંગ થયેલો પ્રસાદીનો ચોફાળ આપો અને આ નવો ચોફાળ આપ આપની પાસે રાખો!” શ્રીહરિ સ્વામીનો આવો અનન્ય પ્રસાદી-મહિમાભાવ જાણી ગદ્ગદ થઈ ગયા. તેમણે તુરંત મુળજી બ્રહ્મચારીને કહી પોતાનો જૂનો ચોફાળ મંગાવ્યો અને સ્વામીને નવો તથા જૂનો બંને ચોફાળ અર્પણ કરી અપરંપાર રાજીપો વ્યક્ત કર્યો.
ત્યારબાદ શ્રીજીમહારાજે બંને આચાર્યશ્રીઓ—શ્રી અયોધ્યાપ્રસાદજી મહારાજ તથા શ્રી રઘુવીરજી મહારાજને સંબોધીને કહ્યું: “જુઓ આચાર્યશ્રીઓ! આ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી તમારા ધર્મકુળના સાચા ‘દશોંદી’ છે! (જેમ પ્રાચીન કાળમાં મોટા રાજાઓના યશોગાન ગાનાર રાજકવિ દશોંદી ચારણોને રાજ્યનો દસમો હિસ્સો અપાતો અને પરમ આદર થતો, તેમ સ્વામી તમારા ધર્મકુળના જશ સદાય ગાય છે.) માટે મેં એમને વસ્ત્ર આપ્યાં. હવે તમે બંને એમને દૂધ-સાકરની તાંસળીઓ પાજો, ઘી-ખાંડથી ભરપૂર ભાત જમાડજો અને આજે એમણે જે કીર્તન ગાયું છે તેના છેલ્લા પદની છેલ્લી કડીમાં જે ભાવ વર્ણવ્યો છે તે યાદ રાખીને પ્રેમપૂર્વક જમાડજો!”
બંને આચાર્યશ્રીઓએ શ્રીહરિની આજ્ઞા શિરોધાર્ય કરી. તે દિવસે ધર્મકુળના રસોડે બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીને પ્રેમપૂર્વક પધરાવી દહીંવડાં, દૂધ, ઘી, સાકર અને ઉત્તમ પકવાન ખૂબ જમાડ્યા. એ કીર્તનની છેલ્લી કડીઓ હતી:
‘બલિહારી ઘનશામકુંવરની, અક્ષરધામના સ્વામી રે..! ધર્મ તણે ઘેર પ્રગટ થયા હરિ, જગપતિ અંતર જામી રે..! બહુનામી જેના બાળકડાને, રાજી થઈને રમાડે રે…! બ્રહ્માનંદ કહે ભાભીઉં હરિને, દહીંવડાં જમાડે રે….!!’
તે દિવસથી બંને આચાર્ય મહારાજશ્રીઓ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીને પોતાના કુળના દશોંદી માની આજીવન પરમ આદર આપતા અને સત્સંગના પ્રત્યેક મહત્ત્વના આયોજનમાં સ્વામીની સલાહ અચૂક લેતા.

गढ़पुर में सद्गुरु ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी की शीघ्र काव्यधारा, धर्मकुल के दशोंदी की महिमा और दहींवड़े का थाल
परब्रह्म श्रीजीमहाराज गढ़पुर में नीम के वृक्ष तले सभा में बिराजे थे। अष्टनंद कवि संत प्रतिदिन कीर्तन गाकर प्रभु को रिझाते थे।
एक दिन सद्गुरु ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने सितार के सुरों के साथ चारणी शैली में धर्मवंश की महिमा के नए कीर्तन रचकर श्रीजीमहाराज के सम्मुख गाए। स्वामी के काव्य से अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर महाराज ने अपना नया दुपट्टा (चोफाल) स्वामी को ओढ़ा दिया।
ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने हाथ जोड़कर कहा, “हे महाराज! इस नए चोफाल के बदले आप अपना पुराना प्रसादी का चोफाल मुझे दे दीजिए और नया अपने पास रखिए!” स्वामी का प्रसादी-भाव देखकर श्रीजीमहाराज भावविभोर हो गए। उन्होंने मुलजी ब्रह्मचारी से पुराना चोफाल मँगवाकर स्वामी को दोनों चोफाल भेंट किए।
तदुपरांत श्रीजीमहाराज ने दोनों भावी आचार्यों—श्री अयोध्याप्रसादजी और श्री रघुवीरजी महाराज से कहा: “ये ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी आपके धर्मकुल के ‘दशोंदी’ (राजकवि) हैं, जो निरंतर आपके कुल का यशोगान करते हैं। अतः आप दोनों इन्हें दूध, शर्करा, घी-भात और विशेष रूप से आज के कीर्तन के अंतिम पद में वर्णित ‘दहींवड़े’ बनाकर प्रेम से खिलाएँ!”
दोनों आचार्यों ने धर्मकुल की रसोई में स्वामीजी को सादर आमंत्रित कर दही-वड़े, दूध, घी और मिष्ठान प्रेम से खिलाए। उस कीर्तन की अंतिम पंक्तियाँ थीं: ‘बलिहारी घनशामकुंवरनी, अक्षरधामना स्वामी रे..! ब्रह्मानंद कहे भाभीउं हरिने, दहींवडां जमाडे रे….!!’
आचार्यों ने जीवनपर्यन्त स्वामीजी का सर्वोच्च सम्मान बनाए रखा और प्रत्येक कार्य में उनका मार्गदर्शन लिया।

Sadguru Brahmanand Swami’s Poetic Masterpiece Glorifying Dharmakul, the Legacy of Dashondi, and the Feast of Dahi-Vada in Gadhpur
In the royal court of Dada Khachar at Gadhpur, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj presided under the sacred neem tree, while the celebrated Ashta-Nand poet-saints offered melodious devotional hymns to please Him.
One day, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami arrived in the assembly. Tuning the strings of his sitar, Swami spontaneously composed and sang sublime hymns in the stirring Charani style, glorifying the illustrious Dharmakul lineage. Enchanted by Swami’s poetic brilliance and profound devotion, Shreeji Maharaj took a fine, new shawl (chofal) and draped it over Swami’s shoulders.
Folding his hands, Brahmanand Swami pleaded affectionately, “O Maharaj! Rather than this brand-new shawl, please bestow upon me Your old, sanctified shawl that has touched Your divine body, and keep the new one for Yourself!” Touched by Swami’s singular reverence for sanctified relics (prasadi), Shreehari had Mulji Brahmachari bring His used shawl and gifted both the new and old shawls to Swami in great delight.
Shreeji Maharaj then addressed both young Acharyas—Ayodhyaprasadji Maharaj and Raghuvirji Maharaj: “Behold, Acharyas! Sadguru Brahmanand Swami is the true ‘Dashondi’ (hereditary royal poet) of your Dharmakul, who perpetually sings the transcendental glory of your lineage! Therefore, serve him bowls of sweetened milk, rich rice drenched in ghee, and lovingly feed him the exact dish mentioned in the final verse of today’s kirtan—fresh dahi-vadas!”
Honoring Shreehari’s directive, both Acharyas invited Swami to the Dharmakul kitchen and joyfully served him a sumptuous feast of dahi-vadas, milk, ghee, and delicacies. The culminating verse of that historic kirtan was:
‘Balihārī Ghanśyāmkũvarnī, Akṣhardhāmnā swāmī re… Brahmānand kahe bhābhīũ Harine dahī̃-vaḍā̃ jamāḍe re!’
From that day forward, both Acharyas honored Brahmanand Swami with the utmost veneration throughout their lives, consulting his wisdom in every significant decision of the fellowship.
