વનવિચરણ કરતાં બાળયોગી નીલકંઠવર્ણીએ ચંદ્રભાગા નદીમાં સ્નાન કરી પંઢરપુરના શ્રી વિઠ્ઠલનાથજીનાં દર્શન કર્યાં અને અસંખ્ય યાત્રાળુઓ તથા મુમુક્ષુઓને પોતાના દિવ્ય સ્વરૂપનું સુખ આપ્યું.
બાળતપસ્વી પ્રભુ નીલકંઠવર્ણી ભારતભરમાં અતિ કઠિન વનવિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં અનેક તીર્થોને પાવન કરતા અને મુમુક્ષુ જીવોને પોતાના દિવ્ય દર્શનનું અલૌકિક સુખ આપતા મહારાષ્ટ્રના સુપ્રસિદ્ધ પંઢરપુર તીર્થક્ષેત્રની સમીપે પધાર્યા.
પવિત્ર ચંદ્રભાગા (ભીમા) નદીના સામા કાંઠે પધારી વર્ણીએ પાવન જળમાં સ્નાન અને સંધ્યાવંદન કર્યાં. ચંદ્રભાગાના તટે ઊભેલા અસંખ્ય યાત્રાળુઓ અને સંતો આ અતિ તેજસ્વી, સુકોમળ છતાં કઠોર તપથી શોભતા બાળયોગીનાં દર્શન કરી સ્તબ્ધ થઈ ગયા! તેમની કમળ જેવી વિશાળ આંખો અને શાંત તેજોમય મુખારવિંદ જોઈ સૌનું મન આકર્ષાઈ ગયું. વર્ણીએ ચંદ્રભાગા પાર કરી પંઢરપુર નગરમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો અને સુપ્રસિદ્ધ શ્રી વિઠ્ઠલનાથજી (વિઠોબા) અને માતા રુક્મિણીજીનાં દર્શનાર્થે મંદિરમાં પધાર્યા.
મંદિરમાં વિઠ્ઠલનાથજીની સન્મુખ ઊભા રહી વર્ણીએ ભાવપૂર્વક સ્તુતિ કરી. એ સમયે મંદિરમાં ઉપસ્થિત ભાગવત ભક્તો અને પંડિતોને નીલકંઠવર્ણીના દર્શનમાં સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીકૃષ્ણ-પરબ્રહ્મની દિવ્ય અનુભૂતિ થઈ. પંઢરપુરમાં થોડા દિવસ રોકાણ કરી વર્ણીએ ચંદ્રભાગાના તટે આત્મનિષ્ઠા અને ઈશ્વરભક્તિનો ગૂઢ ઉપદેશ આપી અનેક મુમુક્ષુઓને ભવપાર ઉતાર્યા.
તીર્થરાજ પંઢરપુરને પોતાની ચરણરજથી અત્યંત પવિત્ર કરી બાળપ્રભુ નીલકંઠવર્ણી આગળ દક્ષિણ ભારત તરફ વિચરણ અર્થે પ્રસ્થાન કરી ગયા.

चंद्रभागा नदी तट पर नीलकंठवर्णी का शुभागमन, श्री विट्ठलनाथजी के दर्शन और पंढरपुर मुमुક્ષु उद्धार
बालयोगी भगवान नीलकंठवर्णी भारतवर्ष के विभिन्न तीर्थों को पावन करते हुए महाराष्ट्र के प्रसिद्ध तीर्थक्षेत्र पंढरपुर के समीप पहुँचे।
पवित्र चंद्रभागा (भीमा) नदी के तट पर पधारकर वर्णी ने निर्मल जल में स्नान एवं संध्यावंदन किया। चंद्रभागा तट पर उपस्थित सहस्रों तीर्थयात्रियों एवं साधुओं ने जब इस अद्वितीय तेजस्वी बालतपस्वी के दर्शन किए, तो वे मुग्ध रह गए। वर्णी ने चंद्रभागा पार कर पंढरपुर में प्रवेश किया और भगवान श्री विट्ठलनाथजी (विठोबा) तथा माता रुक्मिणी के दर्शन किए।
मंदिर में प्रभु विट्ठलनाथजी के सम्मुख खड़े होकर जब वर्णी ने स्तुति की, तब वहाँ उपस्थित भक्तों को उनमें साक्षात् परब्रह्म के दर्शन हुए। पंढरपुर में कुछ दिन वास कर नीलकंठवर्णी ने चंद्रभागा के पावन तट पर मुमुक्षुओं को भक्ति एवं वैराग्य का उपदेश देकर कृतार्थ किया और आगे दक्षिण भारत की यात्रा पर प्रस्थान किया।

Nilkanth Varni’s Auspicious Arrival at Chandrabhaga River, Darshan of Shri Vitthalnathji and Deliverance of Seekers
During His rigorous pilgrimage throughout India, the divine Child Ascetic Nilkanth Varni arrived in the vicinity of the renowned pilgrimage center of Pandharpur in Maharashtra.
Arriving on the banks of the sacred Chandrabhaga (Bhima) River, Nilkanth Varni performed His ablutions and evening prayers. Pilgrims and ascetics assembled along the riverbanks stood spellbound by the radiant spiritual glow and ascetic majesty emanating from the young Yogi. Crossing the Chandrabhaga, Varni entered the holy town of Pandharpur and visited the historic temple of Lord Vitthalnathji (Vithoba) and Mata Rukmini.
As Nilkanth Varni stood before the shrine offering heartfelt praises, scholars and devotees present in the sanctum experienced an overwhelming transcendental awareness of the Supreme Being in His person. Residing in Pandharpur for several days, Nilkanth Varni imparted profound spiritual wisdom on devotion and renunciation along the Chandrabhaga banks, liberating numerous earnest seekers before journeying southward.
