છપૈયાથી ગઢપુર આવતાં વનમાં પાણી ન મળતાં સીતારામજી દેહત્યાગ કરી ગયા; સંતોના આક્રંદ અને કરુણ પ્રાર્થનાથી શ્રીહરિએ તેમને સજીવન કરી રક્ષા કરી.
પરબ્રહ્મ શ્રીજીમહારાજ ગઢપુરમાં બિરાજમાન હતા ત્યારે તેમણે ચાર સંતોને ઉત્તર ભારતમાં વિચરણ અર્થે મોકલ્યા અને આજ્ઞા કરી: “તમે અયોધ્યા-છપૈયા જઈ ધર્મકુળને અમારા વતી મળજો અને વળતાં આવો ત્યારે સીતારામજીને સાથે ગઢપુર તેડી લાવજો!”
સંતો વિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં છપૈયા પહોંચ્યા અને ધર્મકુળનાં દર્શન કર્યા. વળતી વેળાએ સંતોએ શ્રીહરિની આજ્ઞા જણાવી સીતારામજીને સાથે મોકલવા વિનંતી કરી. સીતારામજીનાં માતુશ્રીએ ચિંતા કરતાં કહ્યું: “સીતારામ તો નાનું બાળક છે અને ગુજરાતનો રસ્તો ઘણો લાંબો અને કઠિન છે, તમારાથી જળવાય નહીં!” સંતોએ આશ્વાસન આપ્યું: “અમે અમારા પ્રાણ કરતાં પણ વિશેષ જાળવીને પ્રભુ પાસે લઈ જઈશું, આપ લેશમાત્ર ચિંતા કરશો નહીં.”
સંતો સીતારામજીને લઈને ગઢપુર તરફ ચાલ્યા. માર્ગમાં એક મોટું નિર્જન જંગલ આવ્યું. ઉનાળાનો આકરો તાપ પડતો હતો. તે સમયે નાના સીતારામજી અતિશય તરસ્યા થયા અને “પાણી… પાણી…” કરવા લાગ્યા. સંતો પાસે જળનો એક ઘૂંટડો પણ બચ્યો નહોતો! સંતો ચારેય દિશામાં પાણી શોધવા દોડ્યા. પરંતુ પીવાલાયક પાણી શોધીને પાછા આવ્યા ત્યાં સુધીમાં તરસના આઘાતથી સીતારામજીએ દેહ છોડી દીધો હતો!
સીતારામજીને મૃત પડેલા જોઈ ચારેય સંતોના હોશ ઊડી ગયા. તેઓ ધ્રૂસકે ધ્રૂસકે રડવા લાગ્યા અને જમીન પર આળોટી વિલાપ કરતાં બોલ્યા: “હે મહારાજ! હે કૃપાનિધાન! એમની માતા આપણને આપવા તૈયાર નહોતી, છતાં આપની આજ્ઞાથી અમે હઠ કરીને લાવ્યા! હવે અમે આપને શો જવાબ આપીશું અને એમની માતાને શું મોઢું બતાવીશું? આના કરતાં તો અમારું મૃત્યુ થયું હોત તો સારું હતું!”
સંતોના હૃદયદ્રાવક આક્રંદ અને અનન્ય પ્રાર્થનાથી તે જ ક્ષણે શ્રીહરિની અપરંપાર કૃપા વરસી! અચાનક સીતારામજીએ આંખો ખોલી, અંગ સળવળાવ્યું અને બોલ્યા: “મને જળ પાવો!”
સંતોએ તત્કાળ તેમને શીતળ જળ પાયું. સીતારામજી સંપૂર્ણ સચેત અને સ્વસ્થ થઈ બેઠા થયા! સંતોની આંખોમાંથી હર્ષાશ્રુ વહેવા લાગ્યાં અને તેમણે શ્રીહરિના પ્રબળ પ્રતાપ અને અદ્ભુત રક્ષાની જય બોલાવી.

छपैया से आते हुए सीतारामजी की प्यास से मृत्यु और संतों की प्रार्थना से श्रीहरि द्वारा पुनर्जीवन
श्रीजीमहाराज ने चार संतों को छपैया भेजकर धर्मकुल के बालक सीतारामजी को गढ़पुर लाने की आज्ञा दी। माताजी ने बालक को लंबी यात्रा में भेजने में संकोच किया, किंतु संतों ने प्राणों से अधिक सँभालने का वचन दिया।
मार्ग में घने जंगल में भीषण गर्मी के कारण बालक सीतारामजी अत्यधिक प्यासे हुए। पास में जल न होने से संत जल की खोज में भागे, किंतु लौटने तक बालक ने प्राण त्याग दिए थे!
संत फूट-फूटकर रोने लगे और श्रीहरि से विलाप करते हुए प्रार्थना करने लगे: “हे दयालु! हम माताजी और आपको क्या मुख दिखाएँगे? इससे तो हमारा ही मरण हो जाता!” संतों की करुण पुकार पर श्रीहरि की कृपा से चमत्कार हुआ; बालक ने आँखें खोलीं और कहा, “मुझे जल पिलाओ!” जल पीते ही वे पूर्ण स्वस्थ हो गए।

Sitaramji Revived by Shreehari’s Grace After Passing Away from Thirst En Route from Chhapaiya
While presiding in Gadhpur, Supreme Lord Shreeji Maharaj dispatched four sadhus to northern India to meet the Dharmakul in Ayodhya and Chhapaiya, commanding them to bring young Sitaramji with them on their return to Gadhpur.
The sadhus reached Chhapaiya and conveyed Maharaj’s wish. Sitaramji’s mother hesitated: “Sitaram is merely a tender child, and the foot journey across the wilderness is long and perilous; how will you care for him?” The sadhus assured her: “We shall protect him more dearly than our own lives; have no anxiety!”
With maternal blessings, they set out for Gadhpur. En route, they entered a dense, desolate forest under a scorching sun. Young Sitaramji became desperately parched and cried out for water. The sadhus had exhausted their water supply and frantically dispersed in all directions to locate a spring. By the time they returned with drinking water, the child had succumbed to extreme dehydration and passed away!
Seeing the lifeless child, the four sadhus collapsed in utter grief, lamenting piteously: “O Maharaj! O Merciful Lord! His mother refused to send him, yet we brought him relying upon Your divine word! What answer shall we give to You, and how can we ever face his grieving mother? Far better had we perished instead!”
Moved by their agonizing prayers, Shreehari’s miraculous grace descended! Sitaramji stirred, opened his eyes, and whispered: “Please give me water!” The sadhus quickly offered him cool water, and he revived completely, filled with vitality! Weeping with joy, the sadhus praised Shreehari’s infinite mercy.
