શ્રીહરિચરિત્રામૃતસાગર પૂર ૬ તરંગ ૯૮: ગઢપુરમાં શ્રીજીમહારાજ દ્વારા નીતિ-અનીતિ અને વિવેકનું વિશ્લેષણ, સત્સંગનું પ્રથમ ફળ વિવેક શીખવું અને વિવેકમાં રહેલા અનંત સુખનું રહસ્ય.
પરમ પવિત્ર મહાગ્રંથ ‘શ્રીહરિચરિત્રામૃતસાગર’ના પૂર ૬, તરંગ ૯૮માં ગઢપુરમાં દાદાખાચરના દરબારગઢમાં બિરાજમાન શ્રીજીમહારાજે નીતિ અને વિવેક સંબંધી જે અમૃતમય મોતી વરસાવ્યાં હતાં, તેનો દિવ્ય ઉપદેશ આ પ્રમાણે છે:
નીતિ અને અનીતિનું ફળ: શ્રીહરિએ સભા સમક્ષ સ્પષ્ટ શબ્દોમાં પ્રરૂપણ કર્યું કે: “જે મનુષ્ય સદાચાર અને નીતિના માર્ગે ચાલે છે, તેને સદાય અખંડ સુખ રહે છે અને તે જગતમાં પ્રત્યક્ષ સર્વેને દેખાય છે. પરંતુ જે અનીતિ, કપટ અને અધર્મમાં વર્તે છે, તેને અપાર દુઃખ આવી પડે છે અને તેમાં ક્યારેય વિલંબ થતો નથી!”
વિવેક વિના સત્સંગ અધૂરો: સંસારમાં સુખ અને દુઃખ સહુને પ્રત્યક્ષ અનુભવાય છે. તેમાં જે મનુષ્ય વિવેકહીન છે, તેને કાયમ દુઃખ વેઠવું પડે છે. માણસ ભલે કરોડો વર્ષ સુધી સત્સંગ કરે, પરંતુ જ્યાં સુધી તે સાચો વિવેક શીખતો નથી ત્યાં સુધી તેને પૂર્ણ સુખ પ્રાપ્ત થતું નથી.
સત્સંગ કરનકો ફલ યહ, સિખનો પ્રથમ વિવેક; વિવેક ન સિખે જાંહિ લગ, દુઃખ ટલે ન અનેક… ૨૫
શ્રીહરિએ ઉપદેશ આપતાં કહ્યું કે સત્સંગ કરવાનું પ્રથમ અને મુખ્ય ફળ એ છે કે મનુષ્યે સૌપ્રથમ વિવેક શીખવો જોઈએ. ક્યારે, કોની સાથે, કયા સમયે અને કેવી રીતે બોલવું તથા વર્તવું તેનો વિવેક જ્યાં સુધી ન કેળવાય ત્યાં સુધી જીવના અનેક પ્રકારના આધ્યાત્મિક અને વ્યવહારિક ક્લેશો ક્યારેય ટળતા નથી!
વિવેકમાં અનંત સુખ: વિવેકનું પાલન કરવામાં અક્ષય સુખ સમાયેલું છે. વિવેકવાન ભક્તના જીવનમાં ક્યારેય દુઃખ પ્રવેશ કરી શકતું નથી. શ્રીહરિએ ભારપૂર્વક કહ્યું: “અમે પાતાળથી લઈને પુરુષ-પ્રકૃતિના પરમધામ સુધી સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિમાં વિચારી જોયું છે, વિવેક સમાન અન્ય કોઈ મોટું સુખદાયક તત્વ નથી!”
માટે સત્સંગીઓએ સદાય નીતિમત્તા અને વિવેકપૂર્વક વર્તીને પ્રભુનો રાજીપો મેળવવો.

सागर के मोती: गढपुर में नीति और विवेक का सुख तथा उसके अभाव में अपार दुःख
‘श्रीहरिचरित्रामृतसागर’ (पूर 6, तरंग 98) में गढपुर में श्रीजीमहाराज का नीति और विवेक पर उपदेश:
- नीति का मार्ग: जो नीति पर चलता है, उसे सदा प्रत्यक्ष सुख प्राप्त होता है। अनीति पर चलने वाले को अपार दुःख भोगना पड़ता है।
- विवेक की अनिवार्यता: करोड़ों वर्ष सत्संग करने पर भी यदि विवेक न सीखा जाए, तो दुःख दूर नहीं होते। ‘सत्संग करनको फल यह, सिखनो प्रथम विवेक; विवेक न सिखे जांहि लग, दुःख टले न अनेक…’
- विवेक में अनंत सुख: समय, पात्र और परिस्थिति के अनुसार मर्यादापूर्वक आचरण ही विवेक है। विवेकवान आत्मा को कभी दुःख स्पर्श नहीं कर सकता।

Pearls from the Ocean: The Bliss of Ethics and Discretion in Gadhpur and Woes of Indiscretion
In the sacred scripture ‘Shree Hari Charitramrut Sagar’ (Canto 6, Wave 98), Bhagwan Swaminarayan delivered profound spiritual guidance in Gadhpur regarding ethics (niti) and discretion (vivek):
The Fruits of Ethics: Shreehari unequivocally proclaimed: “He who walks steadfastly upon the path of righteousness and moral integrity invariably enjoys perennial peace and happiness, which is evident for all to behold. Conversely, one who indulges in deceit, unethical conduct, and adharma plunges into immense misery without delay!”
Spiritual Discretion as the Primary Fruit of Satsang: Worldly joy and sorrow are experienced directly by everyone. Among these, the person bereft of spiritual discretion (vivek) endures continuous affliction. Even if a person practices Satsang for millions of years, genuine peace remains elusive unless he cultivates true discretion.
Satsang karanko phal yah, sikhno pratham vivek; Vivek na sikhe jaanhi lag, dukh tale na anek…
“The primary fruit of joining the holy fellowship of Satsang is to first master spiritual discretion (vivek). Until one cultivates discernment regarding when, where, with whom, and how to speak and act appropriately, myriad afflictions cannot be dispelled!”
Infinite Peace in Discretion: Abiding in vivek holds boundless tranquility. In the life of a discerning devotee, distress can never enter. Shreehari affirmed: “We have contemplated the entire cosmos, from the nether realms up to the primordial abode of Purush-Prakriti; there is no virtue that bestows greater serenity than spiritual discretion!”
