માળિયા હાંટીના ગામે સદગુરુ ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીનું આગમન, સિંહના ખોરાકના સચોટ દ્રષ્ટાંત દ્વારા રામા હાંટીને માંસાહાર-દારૂના ઘોર પાપમાંથી મુક્ત કરી પંચવર્તમાન ધારણ કરાવવા.
સોરઠ ધરાના માળિયા (હાંટીના) ગામમાં રામો હાંટી રહેતો હતો. દુર્ભાગ્યે કુસંગના યોગે તે દારૂ પીતો, માંસાહાર કરતો અને અનેક પાપમય પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં રચ્યોપચ્યો રહેતો હતો. સમગ્ર પંથકમાં તેની કુખ્યાતિ હતી.
એક સમયે સદગુરુ શ્રી ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી સંતો સાથે વિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં માળિયા હાંટીના પધાર્યા અને ગામના રામજી મંદિર (ચોરા) પર ઉતારો કર્યો. સંધ્યા આરતી પછી સ્વામીએ બળભરી અમૃતવાણીથી સત્સંગ કથાવાર્તા શરૂ કરી. ગામના લોકો મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઉપસ્થિત થયા. વાળુ પતાવીને રામો હાંટી પણ બજારમાં નીકળ્યો અને સાધુ આવ્યા જાણી ચોરે બેઠેલા લોકોની વચ્ચે આવીને બેસી ગયો.
અંતર્યામી ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીએ રામા હાંટીને ઓળખીને અમીભરેલી દ્રષ્ટિએ પોતાની પાસે બોલાવ્યો અને પ્રેમથી પૂછ્યું: “રામભાઈ ! મારે તમારી પાસેથી એક વાત જાણવી છે. જો આપણે સિંહને લાડુ, જલેબી કે સાટા જેવું મિષ્ટાન્ન નાખીએ તો શું તે ખાય ખરો?” રામા હાંટીએ સહજ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “સ્વામી ! એ તો જાનવરનો ખોરાક નથી, જાનવર તો પોતાનું મારણ જ ખાયને! એ મિષ્ટાન્ન કેમ ખાય?”
સ્વામીએ તેના આત્માને ઢંઢોળતાં અત્યંત મર્મભેદી શબ્દોમાં કહ્યું: “રામભાઈ ! તમે ઘણા સમજદાર છો. જો પશુ થઈને સિંહ માણસનું ખાણું ન અડે, તો માણસ થઈને પશુ-જાનવરનું માંસ ખાય એ કેટલું વિચિત્ર અને અધમ કહેવાય? ચોર્યાસી લાખ યોનિમાં ભટકીને અનંત જન્મોના પુણ્યે આ દુર્લભ મનુષ્યદેહ પ્રાપ્ત થયો છે. આવા સમયે સાક્ષાત્ પૂર્ણપુરુષોત્તમ ભગવાન પ્રગટ થયા હોય અને માણસ પશુ કરતાં પણ હીન આચરણ કરે તો તેનો ઉદ્ધાર ક્યારે થશે? મોંઘો મનુષ્યદેહ વારે વારે મળતો નથી. માટે દારૂ, માંસ, ચોરી અને પરસ્ત્રીનો ત્યાગ કરી ભગવાનનું ભજન કરી લ્યો!”
આ મર્મવાણી સાંભળતાં જ રામા હાંટીના પૂર્વજન્મના સંસ્કાર જાગી ઊઠ્યા. તેનો અહંકાર ઓગળી ગયો અને આંખોમાંથી પશ્ચાત્તાપનાં આંસુ વહેવા લાગ્યાં. તેણે સ્વામીના ચરણોમાં સાષ્ટાંગ દંડવત્ પ્રણામ કરી પોકાર કર્યો: “સ્વામી ! મને ક્ષમા કરો! આપ જે અધમ માણસની વાત કરો છો તે હું જ છું! આજથી આપની સાક્ષીએ હું તમામ વ્યસનો, દારૂ અને માંસાહારનો ત્યાગ કરું છું. મને આપના ચરણોનો દાસ બનાવી વર્તમાન ધરાવો!”
સદગુરુ ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીએ રામા હાંટીને પાવન કંઠી પહેરાવી પંચવર્તમાન ધારણ કરાવ્યા અને જીવનભર અહિંસા અને સદાચારના માર્ગે ચાલવાનો આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો.

मालिया हांटीना के रामा हांटी की सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी द्वारा व्यसनमुक्ति और उद्धार
सोरठ प्रदेश के मालिया हांटीना गांव में रामा हांटी नामक व्यक्ति रहता था। कुसंग के प्रभाव से वह मद्यपान, मांसाहार और अनेक पाप कर्मों में लिप्त था।
सद्गुरु श्री गुणातीतानंद स्वामी का जब मालिया में आगमन हुआ, तब वे रामजी मंदिर के चबूतरे पर सत्संग कथा कर रहे थे। रामा हांटी भी वहां आकर बैठ गया। अंतर्यामी स्वामीजी ने उसे निकट बुलाकर पूछा, “रामभाई ! यदि हम सिंह के सम्मुख लड्डू, जलेबी आदि मिष्ठान्न रखें तो क्या वह खाएगा?” रामा ने कहा, “नहीं स्वामीजी, वह तो पशु का आहार नहीं है, सिंह तो केवल अपना शिकार खाता है।”
स्वामीजी ने गंभीर स्वर में कहा, “रामभाई ! जब पशु होकर सिंह मनुष्य का भोजन नहीं करता, तो मनुष्य होकर पशुओं का मांस खाना कितनी लज्जा की बात है? क्या मनुष्य पशु से भी गया-बीता है? चौरासी लाख योनियों के उपरांत यह दुर्लभ मानव देह मिला है। शराब और मांस छोड़कर भगवान का भजन करो!”
यह सुनकर रामा हांटी का हृदय द्रवित हो गया। उसने रोते हुए स्वामीजी के चरणों में गिरकर क्षमा मांगी और जीवनभर के लिए शराब, मांस और अनैतिकता का त्याग कर पंचवर्तमान अंगीकार किए। स्वामीजी ने कंठी पहनाकर उसे सच्चा सत्संगी बना दिया।

Ramo Hanti of Maliya Hatina: Transformation, Freedom from Vices and Redemption by Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami
In the village of Maliya Hatina in the Sorath region lived Ramo Hanti. Under the degenerative influence of evil company, he had fallen into severe addictions, consuming liquor, eating meat, and indulging in unlawful pursuits. His misdeeds were widely feared across the region.
Once, Sadguru Shree Gunatitanand Swami arrived in Maliya Hatina along with his disciple saints and stayed at the Ramji Mandir square. Following the evening arti, Swami delivered an elevating spiritual discourse. Villagers gathered in large numbers. Having eaten dinner, Ramo wandered into the village square and sat among the crowd listening to Swami.
The omniscient Gunatitanand Swami, recognizing the dormant spiritual yearning within Ramo, affectionately called him near and asked: “Ramabhai! I wish to understand something from you. If we place delicious sweets like laddoos, jalebis, and satha before a wild lion, will it eat them?” Ramo spontaneously replied: “No Swami! That is not an animal’s natural food; a lion feeds strictly upon its prey, never upon human sweets!”
Swami pierced through his conditioned mind with profound wisdom: “Ramabhai, you possess deep common sense. If a wild beast refuses to consume human food, how deplorable is it for a human being to devour animal flesh? Is a human lower than a brute? Wandering through eighty-four lakh species of life, the soul attains this priceless human body through immense accumulated virtues. In this age, when the manifest Supreme Lord has incarnated upon earth, if a human behaves lower than animals, when will his redemption occur? This human frame is not received repeatedly. Abandon liquor, meat, theft, and misconduct, and devote yourself to God!”
Hearing these words, the impressions of Ramo’s past virtuous lives were awakened. His hardened heart melted, and remorseful tears streamed down his cheeks. Prostrating before Swami’s feet, he cried: “Swami! Forgive me! The degraded person you described is none other than me! Today, in your divine presence, I renounce all intoxicants, meat, and vices forever. Pray initiate me into the holy vows!”
Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami lovingly tied the sacred kanthi around his neck, administered the five vows (panch-vartman), and blessed him with eternal peace and steadfast devotion.
