શ્રીહરિની પરાવાણી: જીવ જેવો સંગ કરે તેવું તેનું અંતઃકરણ બને છે—કાચની ભવ્ય હવેલીમાં કુસંગની અધોગતિ અને તૃણની ઝૂંપડીમાં સંતસમાગમથી પરમ પવિત્રતા.
શ્રીજીમહારાજે ગઢડા પ્રથમ પ્રકરણના ૧૮મા વચનામૃતમાં સત્સંગ અને કુસંગના સંગની અંતઃકરણ પર થતી ઊંડી અસરનું અદ્ભુત દ્રષ્ટાંત આપીને નિરૂપણ કર્યું છે:
“આ જીવાત્મા જેવી સોબત કરે છે તેવું જ તેનું અંતઃકરણ થઈ જાય છે. જ્યારે આ જીવ વિષયી મનુષ્યોની સભામાં બેઠો હોય—અને તે જગ્યા પણ સુંદર સાત માળની ભવ્ય હવેલી હોય, જેમાં કાચના સુંદર તખતા જડેલા હોય, કીમતી બિછાનાં પાથરેલાં હોય, નાના પ્રકારનાં આભૂષણો અને વસ્ત્રો પહેરીને વિષયી લોકો મદિરાપાન કરતા હોય, દારૂની બાટલીઓ ભરી પડી હોય, વેશ્યાઓ નાચગાન કરતી હોય અને વાજિંત્રો વાગતાં હોય—તે સભામાં જઈને જે મનુષ્ય બેસે છે, તેનું અંતઃકરણ તે જ ઘડીએ વિષયાસક્ત અને ભ્રષ્ટ થઈ જાય છે.
અને બીજી બાજુ, તૃણની એક સાદી કાચી ઝૂંપડી હોય, તેમાં ફાટેલી ગોદડીવાળા ત્યાગી પરમહંસોની પવિત્ર સભા બેઠી હોય, અને ત્યાં ધર્મ, જ્ઞાન, વૈરાગ્ય અને ભક્તિસહિત ભગવાનની અમૃતમય કથાવાર્તા થતી હોય—તે સભામાં જઈને જે મનુષ્ય બેસે છે, તેનું અંતઃકરણ તે જ સમયે નિર્મળ, પવિત્ર અને પ્રભુમય થઈ જાય છે!
માટે સત્સંગ અને કુસંગના યોગે કરીને જ જીવનું અંતઃકરણ ઘડાય છે.” શ્રીહરિએ આ દ્રષ્ટાંત દ્વારા કુસંગનો તત્કાળ ત્યાગ કરી સદાય એકાંતિક સંતોના સંગમાં રહેવાની પરમ પ્રેરણા આપી છે.

वचनामृत गढडा प्रथम १८: सत्संग और कुसंग का प्रभाव, सात मंजिला हवेली और तृण की झोपड़ी
श्रीजीमहाराज ने गढडा प्रथम प्रकरण के १८वें वचनामृत में अंतःकरण पर संग के प्रभाव का अनुपम दृष्टांत दिया है:
“यह जीव जैसी संगति करता है, वैसा ही उसका अंतःकरण बन जाता है। जब कोई मनुष्य विषयी पुरुषों की सभा में बैठता है—वह स्थान भी कांच के दर्पणों से जड़ी सात मंजिला भव्य हवेली हो, रेशमी बिछौने बिछे हों, मदिरापान चल रहा हो, नर्तकियां नाच रही हों और वाद्य बज रहे हों—ऐसी सभा में बैठने वाले व्यक्ति का चित्त तुरंत काम-विकारों से दूषित हो जाता है।
दूसरी ओर, घास-फूस की एक साधारण झोपड़ी हो, जहां फटी-पुरानी गुदड़ी ओढ़े त्यागी परमहंसों की सभा बैठी हो, और वहां धर्म, ज्ञान, वैराग्य व भक्ति से युक्त हरि-कथा हो रही हो—उस पावन सभा में बैठने वाले का अंतःकरण उसी क्षण शांत, पावन और परमात्मा में लीन हो जाता है!
अतः सत्संग और कुसंग के प्रभाव से ही अंतःकरण परिवर्तित होता है।” प्रभु ने कुसंग से सदा सावधान रहकर निष्काम संतों का संग करने का उपदेश दिया।

Vachanamrut Gadhada I-18: The Power of Association, Luxurious Mansions, and the Hermit’s Grass Hut
In the 18th discourse of the First Section of Gadhada in the Vachanamrut, Shreeji Maharaj illustrated the profound impact of company (sang) upon the human psyche through a vivid contrast:
“The consciousness of this jiva is shaped entirely by the company it keeps. If a person enters a gathering of worldly, sensual men—even if situated within a lavish seven-storied mansion adorned with mirrored glass and luxurious couches, where men clad in ornaments indulge in wine, courtesans dance, and sensual music echoes—the mind of whoever sits in that assembly instantly becomes tainted, agitated, and degraded.
Conversely, if there is a humble thatched grass hut where ascetic Paramhansas wrapped in torn rags gather, engaged in divine discourses imbued with dharma, spiritual wisdom, detachment, and devotion—whoever sits in that holy assembly finds their inner faculties instantly purified, serene, and absorbed in God!
Therefore, the state of one’s consciousness is determined entirely by satsang (holy company) and kusang (toxic association).” Shreehari urges seekers to shun toxic influences and perpetually seek the sanctifying fellowship of true saints.
