Vachanamrut Gadhada I-14: Unfailing Divine Protection and Certainty of Salvation at Life’s End

In the 14th discourse of the First Section of Gadhada in the Vachanamrut, Shreeji Maharaj bestowed immense solace and fearlessness regarding the moment of death:

“One who has attained the manifest Lord—whether at the final moment of death physical memory of God remains intact or fails due to bodily afflictions, that devotee’s spiritual salvation can never be jeopardized! God Himself personally safeguards their soul. Conversely, one who is averse to God, even if they cast off their body in full consciousness, speaking coherently, they will still not attain liberation and will descend to Yamapuri.

Sinfull butchers sometimes pass away conscious and speaking; whereas an ardent devotee of God might experience an untimely or sudden demise. Does that imply the devotee suffers damnation while the sinful butcher attains salvation? Never!”

Through this authoritative revelation, Shreehari reassured all seekers that ultimate salvation does not hinge upon fleeting physical consciousness during death’s agony, but upon the rock-solid refuge, devotion, and surrender cultivated towards the manifest Supreme Lord throughout life.
