મુકતરાજ દિનાનાથ ભટ્ટના ગામ આમોદમાં વિપ્ર ગણપતરામ નામે બ્રાહ્મણ હરિભક્ત બહુ સારા હતા. તેઓ સંતોના યોગે સત્સંગ પરિપક્વ થતા મહારાજનો મહિમા સર્વોપરી જાણતા હતા.

મુકતરાજ દિનાનાથ ભટ્ટના ગામ આમોદમાં વિપ્ર ગણપતરામ નામે બ્રાહ્મણ હરિભક્ત બહુ સારા હતા. તેઓ સંતોના યોગે સત્સંગ પરિપક્વ થતા મહારાજનો મહિમા સર્વોપરી જાણતા હતા. શ્રીજીમહારાજને સર્વ અવતારના કારણ એવા શ્રી પુરૂષોત્તમનારાયણ જાણતા. પોતે અખંડ શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણ સ્વામિનારાયણ ભજન કરતા, દિવસ રાત્રી ગામના સહું હરિભકતો ને ભેગા કરીને વચનામૃત વાંચતા, તેઓને ગ્રામ્ય કથા તો તેમને સાંભળવી પણ ગમતી નહિ.
આ વિપ્ર ગણપતરામ ને સદગુરૂ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી તથા સદગુરુ શુકાનંદ સ્વામી સાથે હેત ઘણું હતું. એકવખતે શ્રીજી મહારાજે પણ એમની મુમુક્ષુતા જોઇને કહેલું કે ‘આ ગણપતરામનો જીવ તે મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીના જેવો છે.’ આ ગણપતરામ પોતાની અવસ્થા થતા એકસમયે માંદા થયા, ત્યારે તેને શ્રીજીમહારાજ તથા મોટા મોટા સર્વ સંતના દર્શન થયાં. ત્યારે મહારાજે કહ્યું જે, ‘ગણપતરામ તમારી પાસે દ્રવ્ય છે તેમાંથી જે કાંય સંકલ્પ હોય એ મંદિરમાં દેવું હોય તેટલું દઈ દો ને તમારા ઘરનાં માણસને આપવું હોય તેટલું આપો.’ તે વખતે ત્યાં ગઢપુર તથા જુનાગઢના મળીને સાંઈઠ સાધુઓ મંદિરમાં હતા. તે સર્વેને ગણપતરામભાઈએ પોતાને ઘેર આમોદ ગામે તેડાવ્યા ને ગામના હરિભક્તને પણ તેડાવ્યા ને કહ્યું જે ‘મારી પાસે બચતના રૂપિયા પાંચ હજાર છે તેમાંથી એકહજાર આંહીના મંદિરના, એક હજાર વડતાલ શ્રી લક્ષ્મીનારાયણ દેવના, ને એક હજાર મારા દાડાના ને એક હજાર મારી દીકરીયુંના ને એકહજાર મારી સ્ત્રીના જાણવા, આવતી કાલે બપોરે મારે દેહ મેલવો છે. માટે સર્વ સંતોને વહેલી રસોઈ કરાવી લેવી.’
બીજે દિવસે સર્વ સાધુઓએ વહેલી રસોઈ કરીને ઠાકોરજીને નૈવેદ્ય ધરીને જમી લીધું ને પછી ગણપતરામભાઈને ઘેર ગયા, ત્યારે સર્વેનાં દર્શન કરીને ગણપતરામભાઈ બોલ્યા જે ‘મને શ્રીજીમહારાજ અને સર્વ મુકતોના દર્શન થાય છે.’ ત્યારે જુનાગઢના જોગી સદગુરૂ મહાપુરુષદાસ સ્વામીએ કહ્યું જે ‘તમે ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીને અમારા જય સ્વામિનારાયણ કહેજો.’ એ પછી સહુ સંત મંદિરમાં આવ્યા ને તે જ વખતે ગણપતરામભાઈ દેહ મેલીને અક્ષરધામમાં ગયા. આમ પોતે શ્રીહરિના દર્શને સહું અગાઉથી કહીને અક્ષરધામમાં સીધાવ્યા.

आमोद के गणपतराम और उनका अक्षरधाम गमन
मुक्तराज दीनानाथ भट्ट के गाँव आमोद में विप्र गणपतराम नामक एक परम निष्ठावान ब्राह्मण हरिभक्त रहते थे। संतों के दिव्य सत्संग से उनका सत्संग अत्यंत परिपक्व हो गया था और वे श्रीजी महाराज की सर्वोपरि महिमा को भली-भाँति जानते थे। वे श्रीजी महाराज को सर्व अवतारों के मूल कारण साक्षात् श्री पुरुषोत्तम नारायण मानते थे। वे निरंतर ‘स्वामीनारायण स्वामीनारायण’ महामंत्र का भजन-स्मरण करते थे। दिन-रात गाँव के सभी हरिभक्तों को एकत्र कर प्रेमपूर्वक वचनामृत का वाचन करते थे; उन्हें सांसारिक या ग्राम्य वार्ताएँ सुनना तनिक भी नहीं सुहाता था।
इन विप्र गणपतराम का सद्गुरु श्री गोपालानंद स्वामी और सद्गुरु श्री शुकानंद स्वामी के प्रति अगाध प्रेम और स्नेह था। एक बार श्रीजी महाराज ने भी उनकी उत्कट मुमुक्षुता देखकर कहा था, “इस गणपतराम का जीव तो मुक्तानंद स्वामी जैसा है।”
वृद्धावस्था में एक समय गणपतराम अस्वस्थ हुए। उस समय उन्हें श्रीजी महाराज तथा बड़े-बड़े समस्त मुक्त संतों के दिव्य दर्शन हुए। तब महाराज ने उनसे कहा, “गणपतराम! आपके पास जो धन-संपत्ति है, उसमें से आपका जैसा संकल्प हो उतना मंदिर में दे दीजिए और जितना अपने परिवारजनों को देना चाहें, उन्हें दे दीजिए।”
उस समय गढ़पुर (गढ़डा) और जूनागढ़ के साठ साधु वहाँ मंदिर में ठहरे हुए थे। गणपतराम भाई ने उन सभी संतों को तथा गाँव के हरिभक्तों को आमोद स्थित अपने घर आमंत्रित किया और कहा, “मेरे पास बचत के पाँच हज़ार रुपये हैं। उनमें से एक हज़ार रुपये यहाँ के स्थानीय मंदिर के लिए, एक हज़ार रुपये वड़ताल के श्री लक्ष्मीनारायण देव के लिए, एक हज़ार रुपये मेरे उत्तर-कार्य (अंत्येष्टि) के लिए, एक हज़ार रुपये मेरी पुत्रियों के लिए और एक हज़ार रुपये मेरी धर्मपत्नी के लिए हैं। कल दोपहर को मुझे अपनी देह त्यागकर धाम जाना है, अतः कल सभी संतों के लिए शीघ्र रसोई तैयार करवा ली जाए।”
अगले दिन सभी साधुओं ने प्रातः जल्दी रसोई बनाकर ठाकोरजी को नैवेद्य अर्पित किया और भोजन ग्रहण करने के पश्चात् वे गणपतराम भाई के घर पहुँचे। तब सभी के दर्शन कर गणपतराम भाई बोले, “मुझे श्रीजी महाराज और समस्त दिव्य मुक्तों के प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन हो रहे हैं।” यह सुनकर जूनागढ़ के सिद्ध योगी सद्गुरु महापुरुषदास स्वामी ने कहा, “आप अक्षरधाम पहुँचकर गोपालानंद स्वामी को हमारे ‘जय स्वामीनारायण’ कहिएगा।” इसके बाद सभी संत मंदिर लौट आए और उसी क्षण गणपतराम भाई अपनी नश्वर देह त्यागकर अक्षरधाम सिधार गए। इस प्रकार, श्रीहरि के साक्षात् दर्शन करते हुए और पहले से ही अपनी प्रस्थान की घोषणा करके वे दिव्य धाम में लीन हो गए।

Ganpatram of Amod and His Departure to Akshardham
In Amod, the village of the eminent devotee Muktaraj Dinanath Bhatt, lived a pious Brahmin devotee named Vipra Ganpatram. Through constant association with holy sadhus, his satsang had matured profoundly, and he recognized the supreme glory of Shriji Maharaj. He firmly understood Shriji Maharaj to be none other than Supreme Lord Shri Purushottam Narayan Himself—the ultimate cause of all divine incarnations. Unceasingly chanting the holy name “Swaminarayan Swaminarayan,” he would gather the village devotees day and night to read and contemplate the sacred Vachanamrut. He harbored no taste for worldly gossip or idle village talk.
Vipra Ganpatram possessed immense divine love and reverence for Sadguru Gopalanand Swami and Sadguru Shukanand Swami. Once, observing his intense spiritual yearning (mumukshuta), Shriji Maharaj Himself remarked, “The soul of this Ganpatram is truly like that of Muktanand Swami.”
In his advanced age, Ganpatram once fell critically ill. At that time, he was blessed with the divine vision (darshan) of Shriji Maharaj along with all the great liberated souls and saints. Maharaj said to him, “Ganpatram, from the wealth you have saved, fulfill whatever divine wish you hold—offer what you desire to the mandir, and give whatever you wish to your family members.”
At that juncture, around sixty sadhus from Gadhpur and Junagadh were staying at the local mandir in Amod. Ganpatram invited all the sadhus as well as the village devotees to his home and declared, “I have five thousand rupees in savings. Of this, one thousand rupees shall be offered to the local mandir here, one thousand rupees to Shri Lakshmi-Narayan Dev of Vadtal, one thousand rupees for my final rites and ceremonies, one thousand rupees for my daughters, and one thousand rupees for my wife. Tomorrow at noon, I shall depart from this mortal frame. Therefore, please arrange an early meal for all the revered saints.”
The following day, the sadhus prepared the meal early, offered naivedya (thaal) to Thakorji, partook of the sacred meal, and then arrived at Ganpatram’s residence. Beholding them, Ganpatram said with immense joy, “I am beholding the divine darshan of Shriji Maharaj and all the great Muktas.” Hearing this, Sadguru Mahapurushdas Swami, a revered yogi of Junagadh, said, “Please convey our Jai Swaminarayan to Gopalanand Swami.” Thereafter, the saints returned to the mandir, and at that very moment, Ganpatram peacefully shed his mortal body and ascended to Akshardham. Thus, having foretold his departure and beholding the divine presence of Shri Hari, he entered the eternal abode.
