સર્વોપરી પૂર્ણ પુરુષોત્તમ શ્રીજીમહારાજે જીવના રૂડા માટે વચનામૃતમાં લીધેલા પાંચ પવિત્ર સોગંદ અને નિત્ય સ્મરણ કરવા યોગ્ય ત્રણ રહસ્યમય વચનામૃતો.
સર્વોપરી, સર્વ અવતારોના અવતારી, અનંત કોટિ બ્રહ્માંડના આધાર અને નિયંતા એવા સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાને આ કળિયુગના જીવોને પરમ સત્ય દ્રઢ કરાવવા માટે પોતાના ગુરુ, વાત્સલ્યસભર પરમહંસો અને ભક્તોના પવિત્ર સોગંદ (સમ) લીધા છે! શ્રીહરિએ પ્રગટ કરેલા ૨૭૩ વચનામૃતો પૈકી પાંચ વચનામૃતોમાં વિશેષ સમ ખાધા છે:
૧. ગઢડા પ્રથમ ૧૮: “રામાનંદ સ્વામીના સમ” “અને અમે જે કોઈને હેતે કરીને બોલાવીએ છીએ તે તો તેના જીવના રૂડા સારું બોલાવીએ છીએ… એમાં જો લગાર પણ અમારો સ્વાર્થ હોય તો રામાનંદ સ્વામીના સમ છે.”
૨. ગઢડા મધ્ય ૧૩: “પરમહંસના સમ” “અને ભગવાન ને ભગવાનના સંતને વિષે જેણે દોષ દીઠો તેનું તો મોં પણ જોવા જેવું નથી… એ વાતમાં જો કાંઈ કપટ રાખીને કહેતા હોઈએ તો આ સર્વે પરમહંસના સમ છે.”
૩. ગઢડા મધ્ય ૩૩: “પરમહંસના સમ” “ભગવાનનું ભજન કરવું તે જ ઉત્તમ છે, અને અમારે તો અંતરમાં ભગવાનના ભજન સિવાય બીજો કોઈ લૌકિક ઘાટ નથી… એમાં જો લગાર પણ વિપર્યાસ હોય તો આ પરમહંસના સમ છે.”
૪. ગઢડા અંત્ય ૨: “સંત સભાના સમ” “શ્વેતદ્વીપ, વૈકુંઠ અને ગોલોકની સભા કરતાં પણ હું આ સત્સંગીઓની સભાને અતિશય શ્રેષ્ઠ અને દિવ્ય પ્રકાશવાન જોઉં છું. એમાં લગાર પણ મિથ્યા કહેતા હોઈએ તો આ સંતસભાના સમ છે!”
૫. ગઢડા અંત્ય ૨૧: “ભગવાન તથા ભગવાનના ભક્તના સમ” “આ સત્સંગ તો સાક્ષાત્ અક્ષરધામ જેવો અલૌકિક છે. અને અક્ષરધામના મુક્તો જેવા જ આ પૃથ્વી પરના સત્સંગીઓ છે. જો આ સત્સંગીઓને અમે તેવા ન જાણતા હોઈએ તો અમને ભગવાન તથા ભગવાનના ભક્તના સમ છે!”
સર્વજ્ઞ પરબ્રહ્મ પોતે જ્યારે સોગંદ લઈને કહેતા હોય, ત્યારે ભક્તોએ તેમની આ વાતો જીવનભર યાદ રાખવી જોઈએ. શ્રીહરિએ નિત્ય પૂજા અને દંડવત્ સમયે આ ત્રણ રહસ્યો વિશેષ સંભારવાની આજ્ઞા કરી છે: ૧. ગઢડા મધ્ય ૧૩: અક્ષરધામના પરમ દિવ્ય તેજમાં બિરાજમાન મૂર્તિ તે સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીજીમહારાજ પોતે છે. ૨. લોયા ૧૮: ભગવાનના ભક્તમાં કદી મનુષ્યભાવ ન લાવવો, સદાય દિવ્યભાવ રાખવો. ૩. ગઢડા મધ્ય ૪૦: જાણે-અજાણે મન, વચન કે દેહે કરીને કોઈ ભક્તનો દ્રોહ થયો હોય તો તેના દોષનિવારણ કાજે નિત્ય એક પ્રણામ અધિક કરવો!

सर्वोपरि, पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान श्रीस्वामिनारायण ने जीवों को परम सत्य की दृढ़ प्रतीति कराने हेतु अपने गुरु, प्रिय परमहंसों और सन्त-सभा की पवित्र शपथ (सौगंध) ली है! वचनामृत ग्रंथ के २७३ वचनामृतों में से पांच वचनामृतों में प्रभु ने शपथ ली है:
१. गढडा प्रथम १८: “रामानंद स्वामी की सौगंध” “हम जो भी किसी से प्रेमपूर्वक बात करते हैं, वह उसके जीव के परम कल्याण के लिए ही है… इसमें यदि रंचमात्र भी हमारा स्वार्थ हो तो हमें रामानंद स्वामी की सौगंध है।”
२. गढडा मध्य १३: “परमहंसों की सौगंध” “भगवान और भगवान के संतों में दोष देखने वाले का मुख भी देखने योग्य नहीं है… इस बात में यदि हम तनिक भी कपट रखकर कहते हों तो इन सभी परमहंसों की सौगंध है।”
३. गढडा मध्य ३३: “परमहंसों की सौगंध” “हमारे अंतःकरण में भगवान के भजन के अतिरिक्त संसार की कोई अन्य इच्छा नहीं है… इसमें यदि लेशमात्र भी मिथ्या हो तो इन परमहंसों की सौगंध है।”
४. गढडा अंत्य २: “संत सभा की सौगंध” “श्वेतद्वीप और गोलोक-वैकुंठ की सभा से भी अधिक मैं इस सत्संगी-सभा को दिव्य प्रकाशयुक्त देखता हूं। यदि इसमें तनिक भी असत्य हो तो इस संत सभा की सौगंध है!”
५. गढडा अंत्य २१: “भगवान तथा भगवान के भक्तों की सौगंध” “अक्षरधाम के पार्षदों के समान ही मैं इस पृथ्वी के सत्संगियों को दिव्य देखता हूं। यदि ऐसा न जानता होऊं तो मुझे भगवान तथा भगवान के भक्तों की सौगंध है!”
भगवान स्वयं जब शपथ खाकर भक्तों को महिमा समझाते हैं, तो उनकी वाणी पर अटूट विश्वास रखना हमारा परम धर्म है। प्रभु ने नित्य पूजा में तीन वचनामृतों के सार का स्मरण करने का आदेश दिया है: (१) गढडा मध्य १३ (श्रीजीमहाराज की पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तमता), (२) लोया १८ (भक्तों में दिव्यभाव), और (३) गढडा मध्य ४० (भक्त-द्रोह निवारण हेतु एक अतिरिक्त प्रणाम)।

Shreeji Maharaj’s Five Divine Oaths in the Vachanamrut: Compassion to Convince Devotees
The Supreme Parabrahman, the source of all divine incarnations and sovereign ruler of infinite universes, Bhagwan Swaminarayan, out of unbound compassion for the spiritual upliftment of fallen souls, took solemn oaths (sam) by His own guru, His beloved Paramhansas, and the holy assembly! Among the 273 discourses of the Vachanamrut, Shreeji Maharaj took solemn oaths in five distinct discourses:
Gadhada I-18: “By the Oath of Ramanand Swami” “Whatever I speak affectionately to anyone is purely for the ultimate spiritual good of their soul… If there is even the slightest trace of personal self-interest in My mind, I swear by Ramanand Swami.”
Gadhada II-13: “By the Oath of the Paramhansas” “Whoever perceives flaws in God and His holy sadhus is unworthy of being looked upon… If I speak this with any deceit in My heart, I swear by all these Paramhansas.”
Gadhada II-33: “By the Oath of the Paramhansas” “To worship God is the supreme pursuit; within My heart, there exists no worldly desire whatsoever… If there is any untruth in this, I swear by these Paramhansas.”
Gadhada Last 2: “By the Oath of the Assembly of Saints” “I perceive this assembly of Satsangis as far superior and more luminously divine than the celestial courts of Shvetadvipa, Vaikunth, or Golok. If I utter even the slightest exaggeration, I swear by this assembly of holy saints!”
Gadhada Last 21: “By the Oath of God and God’s Devotees” “These Satsangis on earth are identical to the divine liberated attendants of Akshardham. If I do not perceive them as such, I swear by God and the devotees of God!”
When the Almighty Himself takes solemn oaths to reinforce divine truths, devotees should etch them permanently onto their consciousness. Maharaj specifically instructed devotees to remember three core teachings during daily morning worship:
- Gadhada II-13: The transcendental divine form enthroned within the infinite radiance of Akshardham is Shreeji Maharaj Himself.
- Loya 18: Never perceive human frailties in devotees of God; always behold their divinity.
- Gadhada II-40: To atone for any inadvertent disrespect committed towards a fellow devotee in thought, word, or deed, offer an extra prostration daily!
