ભાલ દેશમાં વિચરણ કરતાં બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ ખેતરમાં કણબીના છોકરાઓ પાસેથી ઘઉંનો પોંક માંગી કલ્યાણનું વચન આપ્યું અને વર્ષો પછી અંતકાળે મહારાજ સાથે આવી ધામમાં તેડી ગયા.
એકવાર સદ્ગુરુ શ્રીબ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી સંતમંડળ સાથે ભાલ દેશમાં વિચરણ કરી રહ્યા હતા. એ સમયે ખેતરોમાં ઘઉં પાકીને તૈયાર થયા હતા અને ઘઉંના તાજા પોંક (શેકેલી ઉંબીઓ) બનાવવાની મોસમ હતી. માર્ગમાં એક ખેતરમાં કણબીના નાના છોકરાઓ તાપણું કરીને ઘઉંનો પોંક શેકતા હતા અને આનંદથી રમતા હતા.
સ્વામીએ તે નિર્દોષ છોકરાઓ પાસે જઈને પ્રેમથી કહ્યું, “છોકરાઓ ! મને થોડોક ઘઉંનો પોંક આપશો ?”
ત્યારે તે ચતુર છોકરાઓએ પૂછ્યું, “મહારાજ ! અમે તમને પોંક આપીએ તો અમને શું લાભ થાય ?”
તે વખતે બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામીએ હસીને વચન આપ્યું, “જો તમે મને ભાવથી પોંક આપશો તો હું તમારું આત્યંતિક કલ્યાણ કરીશ! અને સાંભળો, જ્યારે તમારો અંતકાળ આવે ત્યારે મારી આ મોટી ફાંદ (પેટ) સંભારજો! હું સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાનને સાથે લઈને તમને તેડવા આવીશ.” છોકરાઓએ હોંશે હોંશે સ્વામીને ખોબો ભરીને તાજો-મીઠો પોંક જમાડ્યો.
…અને વર્ષો પછી ખરેખર એવું જ બન્યું! તે છોકરાઓ જ્યારે વૃદ્ધાવસ્થા પામ્યા અને દેહત્યાગનો સમય આવ્યો, ત્યારે વચનપાલક સદ્ગુરુ બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી સાક્ષાત્ શ્રીજીમહારાજ સાથે દિવ્ય વિમાન લઈને તેમને તેડવા પધાર્યા!
તે દિવ્ય દર્શન જોઈને વૃદ્ધાવસ્થામાં પણ તે ભક્તોના મુખમાંથી ઉદ્ગાર સરી પડ્યા: “ભલે, ફાંદાળા ગુરુ ભલે ! તમે અંતકાળે અમને આપેલું વચન પાળવા તેડવા આવ્યા ખરા!” એમ બોલતાં બોલતાં શ્રીહરિ અને સદ્ગુરુ સંતની છત્રછાયામાં તેઓ પંચભૌતિક દેહ છોડીને સદાને માટે અક્ષરધામમાં સિધાવી ગયા. સંતોનું એક વચન પણ જીવના અનાદિ ભવરોગને ટાળીને પરમપદ આપનારું બને છે.

भाल देश में ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी की गेहूं की पोंक, बालकों को वचन और अक्षरधाम गमन
एक बार सद्गुरु श्रीब्रह्मानंद स्वामी संत मंडल सहित भाल प्रदेश में विचरण कर रहे थे। उस समय खेतों में गेहूं की फसल पकी थी और ताजी पोंक (भुनी हुई बालियां) तैयार करने का मौसम था। मार्ग में एक खेत में किसान के बालक आग जलाकर गेहूं की पोंक भून रहे थे।
स्वामीजी ने बालकों के पास जाकर स्नेहपूर्वक कहा, “बालको ! क्या मुझे थोड़ी पोंक दोगे ?”
बालकों ने पूछा, “महाराज ! आपको पोंक देने से हमें क्या लाभ मिलेगा ?”
तब ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने हंसते हुए अभय वचन दिया, “यदि तुम मुझे प्रेम से पोंक खिलाओगे, तो मैं तुम्हारा आत्यंतिक कल्याण करूंगा! और सुनो, जब तुम्हारा अंत समय आए, तब मेरी इस बड़ी तोंद (फांद) का स्मरण करना; मैं साक्षात भगवान स्वामिनारायण को साथ लेकर तुम्हें लेने आऊंगा!” बालकों ने अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर दोनों हाथों से भरकर स्वामीजी को ताजी पोंक अर्पित की।
…और दशकों बाद ठीक वैसा ही हुआ! वे बालक जब वृद्ध हुए और उनके देहावसान का समय आया, तब वचन के धनी ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी साक्षात श्रीजीमहाराज के साथ दिव्य विमान लेकर उन्हें लेने पधारे!
उस दिव्य दर्शन को देखकर वृद्धों के मुख से सहज निकला: “धन्य हो, तोंद वाले गुरुजी ! आप सचमुच अंत समय में हमें लेने पधारे!” ऐसा कहते हुए वे दोनों प्रभु और संत के साथ सदा के लिए अक्षरधाम में सिधार गए। संत का एक वचन भी जीव का परम मोक्ष करा देता है।

Brahmanand Swami’s Roasted Wheat in Bhal, Promise to Village Youths, and Ultimate Liberation
Once, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami was traversing the rural Bhal region accompanied by his group of sadhus. It was the harvest season for wheat, and farmers were busy preparing fresh ponk (roasted tender wheat grains). In a roadside field, young cowherd boys were playfully roasting tender wheat stalks over an open fire.
Approaching the carefree youths with loving affection, Swami asked, “Boys! Will you share some of your roasted wheat ponk with me?”
The sharp-witted boys inquired, “Maharaj! What benefit shall we receive if we give you our ponk?”
Brahmanand Swami smiled warmly and promised, “If you offer me ponk with love, I shall grant you ultimate spiritual liberation! Listen carefully: when your final moment in this world arrives, simply remember my round, ample belly! I shall personally come accompanied by Bhagwan Swaminarayan Himself to welcome you to Akshardham!” Delighted by this divine assurance, the boys eagerly offered generous handfuls of warm, fragrant ponk to the Swami.
…And decades later, that divine prophecy was fulfilled to the letter! When those young boys grew into frail old men and their final moments on earth arrived, true to his word, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami arrived in a radiant celestial chariot accompanied by Bhagwan Swaminarayan!
Beholding the dazzling divine vision, the elderly souls cried out in joyful recollection: “Welcome, O round-bellied Guru, welcome! You have truly arrived to escort us home as promised!” With these loving words on their lips, they shed their mortal frames and ascended directly to Akshardham. Even a casual promise from a true God-realized saint possesses the sovereign power to grant eternal liberation.
