ગીરગઢડા પાસે વડવીયાળાના દરિદ્ર બ્રાહ્મણ ધના ભગતનો અસીમ ભાવ, સંતો માટે ઘીવાળી ખીચડી, ઘંટી વેચીને વર્ષનો ધર્માદો અને અંતકાળે દિવ્ય રથમાં અક્ષરધામ ગમન.
ગીરગઢડા નજીક વડવીયાળા ગામમાં જૂનાગઢ રાધારમણ દેવના મંદિરથી સદગુરુ વિષ્ણુવલ્લભદાસજી સ્વામી અને માધવચરણદાસજી સ્વામી પધાર્યા. ગામના ગરીબ વિપ્ર ધના ભગતે સંતોના ચરણ સ્પર્શી વિનંતી કરી: “સ્વામી! હું ઘેરથી ખીચડી કરી લાવું જેથી તમારે રસોઈની મહેનત ન પડે.” સંતોએ ઘી ન નાખવાની શરતે હા પાડી. પરંતુ ધના ભગતે ઘેર જઈ અતિ ભાવથી જેટલી ખીચડી તેટલું શુદ્ધ ઘી નાખી બનાવી અને એક વાટકો ઘી વધારાનું સાથે લઈ આવ્યા! સંતોએ ઘી જોતાં કહ્યું, “ધના ભગત, ના પાડી હતી છતાં ઘી કેમ નાખ્યું?” ત્યારે ધના ભગતે હાથ જોડી ગદ્ગદ કંઠે કહ્યું: “મા-બાપ! આપ ક્યારેક પધારો અને અમારા સંસારીના ઘરનું અન્ન-દ્રવ્ય આપ જેવા પવિત્ર સંતો જમો તો અમારું આયખું લેખે લાગે ને!” સંતો તેમના અનન્ય ભાવથી રાજી થઈ ખીચડી જમ્યા.
સાંજે જ્યારે સહુ હરિભક્તો વર્ષનો ધર્માદો જમા કરાવવા આવ્યા, ત્યારે ધના ભગત પાસે આપવા માટે કશું નહોતું. તેમણે ઘરમાંથી અનાજ દળવાની પથ્થરની ઘંટી વેચી દીધી અને તેના આવેલા પૈસા (રાળ) સંતોના ચરણોમાં ધર્માદા પેટે મૂકી દીધા! સત્સંગીઓએ સંતોને જણાવ્યું ત્યારે સ્વામીએ પૈસા પાછા આપતાં ખીજાઈને કહ્યું: “ઘંટી વેચી નાખી તો ઘરમાં હવે લોટ શેનાથી દળશો?” ધના ભગતે આંખમાં આંસુ સાથે કહ્યું: “મા-બાપ! શ્રીજીમહારાજે શિક્ષાપત્રીમાં આજ્ઞા કરી છે કે ગૃહસ્થે વર્ષે દહાડે ધર્માદો આપવો જ જોઈએ; તો પ્રભુની આજ્ઞા અમે કેમ લોપીએ?” સંતો તેમની અડગ ધર્મનિષ્ઠા જોઈ સ્તબ્ધ થઈ ગયા!
અંતકાળે ધના વિપ્રનો દેહ પડવાનો થયો ત્યારે તેમણે ગામલોકોને બોલાવીને કહ્યું: “જુઓ, મને આપણા ઇષ્ટદેવ શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાન તેડવા આવ્યા છે! હજારો વિમાનો, રથો અને સંતોનો કોઈ પાર નથી; જેને સાથે આવવું હોય તે ચાલો!” આમ બોલતાં બોલતાં ‘જય શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ’ કહી દેહ છોડ્યો. જ્યારે તેઓ અક્ષરધામ સિધાવ્યા ત્યારે આકાશમાં દિવ્ય રથના પૈડાંનો ઝણઝણાટ ગામના કેટલાય લોકોએ પ્રત્યક્ષ સાંભળ્યો!

વડવીયાળામાં ધના વિપ્ર, ઘીવાળી ખીચડી, ઘંટી વેચીને ધર્માદો અને રથનો રણકાર
गीरगढडा के निकट वडवीयाळा ग्राम में जूनागढ़ से सद्गुरु विष्णुवल्लभदासजी एवं माधवचरणदासजी स्वामी पधारे। निर्धन ब्राह्मण धना भगत ने संतों के लिए घर से भरपूर घी युक्त स्वादिष्ट खिचड़ी बनाकर परोसी। संतों द्वारा अत्यधिक घी का कारण पूछने पर धना भगत ने कहा कि संतों द्वारा संसारी का अन्न ग्रहण करने से उनका संपूर्ण जीवन धन्य हो जाता है।
संध्या समय वार्षिक धर्मादा अर्पण करते समय धना भगत के पास धन नहीं था, तो उन्होंने घर की अनाज पीसने वाली पत्थर की चक्की (घंटी) बेच दी और उससे प्राप्त मुद्राएं धर्मादे में समर्पित कर दीं! संतों द्वारा पूछने पर उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षापत्री में श्रीजीमहाराज की आज्ञा है कि गृहस्थ को वार्षिक धर्मादा देना ही चाहिए, अतः प्रभु की आज्ञा का पालन सर्वोपरि है।
अंतकाल में धना भगत ने ग्रामीणों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि साक्षात भगवान स्वामिनारायण दिव्य रथ व विमान लेकर उन्हें लेने आए हैं। प्रभु का स्मरण करते हुए उन्होंने देहत्याग किया और आकाश में दिव्य रथों की मधुर झंकार संपूर्ण गांव ने सुनी।

Vadvadala Dhana Vipra Khichdi Dharmado
In the village of Vadvadala near Gir Gadhada, Sadguru Vishnuvallabhdasji Swami and Madhavcharandasji Swami arrived on a satsang tour from the Junagadh temple. A destitute Brahmin devotee named Dhana Vipra touched their feet, pleading to bring freshly prepared khichdi from his home so the sadhus would not have to cook. The sadhus agreed on the condition that he would not add ghee. However, overwhelmed with devotion, Dhana cooked the khichdi with as much pure ghee as grain, bringing an extra bowl of melted ghee! When the ascetics questioned him, Dhana folded his hands with moist eyes: “O revered fathers! If holy saints like you partake of food from a worldly householder like me, our entire mortal existence attains true spiritual fruit!” Touched by his boundless love, the ascetics accepted the offering.
In the evening, when devotees gathered to submit their annual religious tithe (dharmado), poor Dhana had no spare money. In an astonishing act of sacrifice, he sold his household stone flour-grinding mill (ghanti) and laid the silver coins at the sadhus’ feet! When informed, the swami returned the money, rebuking him: “If you sell your household mill, how will your family grind their daily grain?” Dhana replied with heartfelt tears: “O holy fathers! Shreeji Maharaj commanded in the Shikshapatri that every householder must offer his annual tithe—how could I ever disobey my Lord’s divine mandate?” The ascetics were left utterly awestruck by his unwavering obedience.
When Dhana Vipra’s final hour arrived, he called out to the assembled villagers: “Behold, our Ishtadev Bhagwan Swaminarayan has arrived in person to take me, accompanied by countless celestial chariots, heavenly palanquins, and radiant saints! Whoever wishes to accompany me may come!” Conversing joyfully, he chanted ‘Jay Shree Swaminarayan’ and discarded his mortal frame. As he ascended to Akshardham, the ethereal resonance and jingling bells of the celestial chariots were heard distinctly by villagers across Vadvadala!
