રાજપુર પધારેલા શ્રીહરિના દર્શન ચૂકી જતાં વજાજીના વૃદ્ધ માતુશ્રીનો અસહ્ય વિરહ, ઇરાણાથી રોઝા ઘોડે શ્રીહરિનું વિજળીવેગે પુનરાગમન અને નવજીવન આપ્યાનું દિવ્ય ચરિત્ર.
શ્રીહરિ કડી તાલુકાના રાજપુર ગામે વસ્તાભાઈ પટેલના ઘેર પધારી ત્યાંથી ઇરાણા ગામની ભાગોળે પધાર્યા. ઇરાણાના પ્રેમીભક્ત માધવભાઈ પટેલે દોડી આવી શ્રીહરિનું સ્વાગત કર્યું. શ્રીહરિએ ભાગોળે લીમડા નીચે સભા ભરી અને માધવભાઈના ઘેર પ્રેમપૂર્વક થાળ જમી વિશ્રામ કર્યો.
આ બાજુ રાજપુર ગામે વજાજી નામના ગરાસિયા દરબારના વૃદ્ધ માતુશ્રી ઘરે હોવાથી તેમને શ્રીહરિના રાજપુર આગમનની ખબર ન પડી અને તેઓ દર્શનથી વંચિત રહી ગયાં! જ્યારે જાણ થઈ કે પ્રભુ રાજપુર આવીને આગળ નીકળી ગયા, ત્યારે માતુશ્રીના અંતરમાં અસહ્ય આઘાત લાગ્યો. “મારા આંગણે સાક્ષાત્ ભગવાન પધાર્યા છતાં મને દર્શન ન થયાં, હવે આ દેહ રાખીને શું કરવું?” એમ વિચારી તેઓ ચોધાર આંસુએ રડવા લાગ્યાં અને વિરહના આઘાતથી પથારીવશ થઈ ગયાં. તેમણે પુત્ર વજાજીને કહ્યું, “બેટા! અત્યારે જ જા અને શ્રીહરિને ગમે ત્યાંથી તેડી લાવ, નહિતર મારા પ્રાણ નીકળી જશે!” વજાજીએ કહ્યું, “માડી! પ્રભુ તો અંતર્યામી છે; આપણી ભાવના સાચી હશે તો તેઓ વણતેડ્યે અહીં પાછા પધારશે.”
ઇરાણામાં પોઢેલા શ્રીહરિ ભક્તમાતાના હૃદયની આ આર્તનાદ સાંભળી સફાળા બેઠા થઈ ગયા! મુળજી બ્રહ્મચારી અને સંતોને પાછળ આવવાનું કહી, શ્રીહરિ તત્કાળ રોઝા ઘોડા પર સવાર થઈ વીજળીવેગે રાજપુર તરફ દોડ્યા. ક્ષણવારમાં વજાજીના ફળિયામાં આવી ઘોડેથી કૂદકો મારી ઓસરીમાં ખાટલે સૂતેલા માતુશ્રી પાસે પહોંચ્યા અને બોલ્યા: “લ્યો માડી! તમે ખૂબ યાદ કરતાં હતાં ને, અમે આપને દર્શન દેવા આવી ગયા છીએ!”
શ્રીહરિના દર્શન થતાં જ વજાજીના માતુશ્રીમાં નવજીવનનો સંચાર થયો! તેમની તમામ બીમારી અને વિરહપીડા પળવારમાં નષ્ટ થઈ ગઈ. તેમણે ખાટલામાંથી બેઠા થઈ શ્રીહરિનું ભાવપૂર્વક પૂજન કર્યું, કપાળમાં કુમકુમ-અક્ષત કર્યા અને આરતી ઉતારી. પાછળથી સંતો અને મુળજી બ્રહ્મચારી પણ આવી પહોંચ્યા. વજાજીએ સમગ્ર સંતમંડળને પ્રેમપૂર્વક ભોજન કરાવી રાતવાસો કરાવ્યો. શ્રીહરિએ પ્રેમી ભક્તમાતાની ભક્તિને વશ થઈ દર્શન આપી કૃતાર્થ કર્યાં.

श्रीहरि राजपुर से होकर इराण गाँव की सीमा पर नीम वृक्ष के नीचे पधारे। वहाँ भक्त माधवभाई पटेल ने प्रेमपूर्वक थाल परोसकर प्रभु को भोजन कराया।
इधर राजपुर में भक्त वजाजी की वृद्ध माता को प्रभु के आगमन की सूचना न मिलने से वे दर्शन से वंचित रह गईं। जब ज्ञात हुआ कि प्रभु गाँव आकर चले गए, तब विरह के तीव्र आघात से वे अस्वस्थ हो गईं और रोने लगीं: “मेरे गाँव में साक्षात् ईश्वर आए और मैं दर्शन न कर सकी, अब इस जीवन का क्या प्रयोजन?” उन्होंने पुत्र वजाजी से कहा कि प्रभु को कहीं से भी ढूँढकर लाओ, अन्यथा मेरे प्राण निकल जाएँगे!
इराणा में विश्राम कर रहे अंतर्यामी श्रीहरि अपनी भक्त माता की पुकार सुनकर तुरंत उठ खड़े हुए। प्रभु अपने तेज़ रोज़ा अश्व पर आरूढ़ होकर पलक झपकते ही राजपुर में वजाजी के आँगन में आ पहुँचे। प्रभु ने पुकारा: “माताजी! आप हमें स्मरण कर रही थीं, देखिए हम आ गए!”
प्रभु के दर्शन पाते ही माताजी की समस्त व्याधि लुप्त हो गई और वे नवजीवन पाकर उठ बैठीं। उन्होंने प्रभु की आरती उतारी और कुमकुम तिलक किया। वजाजी ने संपूर्ण संत मंडल को भोजन कराकर रात्रि-विश्राम कराया। इस प्रकार श्रीहरि ने अनन्य भक्ति का मान रखा।

Rajpur Vajaji Mother Virah Irana Rozo Horse
After gracing Vastabhai Patel’s home in Rajpur, Bhagwan Swaminarayan proceeded toward the village of Irana. Devotee Madhavbhai Patel rushed forward, arranging a congregation beneath a leafy neem tree and serving a sumptuous sanctified meal (thal) at his home, after which Shreehari rested.
Meanwhile, back in Rajpur, the elderly mother of devotee Vajaji had remained unaware of Shreehari’s visit and missed His divine darshan. Learning that the Lord had departed, she was struck with unbearable grief: “The Supreme Lord Himself came to our village, yet I missed His darshan; what purpose does this mortal life serve now?” Weeping inconsolably, the sheer agony of separation caused her to collapse critically ill. She pleaded with her son Vajaji, “Go this instant and bring Shreehari back from wherever He is, or my breath will forsake my body!” Vajaji comforted her, “Mother, the Lord is omniscient; if our devotion is sincere, He will return unbidden this very hour!”
Resting in Irana, omniscient Shreehari perceived the heartfelt lament of the devout mother and sprang up instantly! Instructing Mulji Brahmachari and the sadhus to follow at their own pace, Shreehari mounted His swift Rozo stallion and galloped back toward Rajpur like lightning. In moments, He vaulted into Vajaji’s courtyard, rushed to the ailing mother’s cot, and called out tenderly: “Look, mother! You remembered Us with such longing, and here We are before you!”
Beholding Shreehari’s radiant smiling face, vitality surged through the elderly woman’s frail body! Her illness and despair dissolved in an instant. Rising from her cot with renewed youthfulness, she performed aarti, applied sandalwood-kumkum to Shreehari’s forehead, and prostrated in gratitude. Soon after, the sadhus arrived, and Vajaji hosted the entire holy entourage for dinner and an overnight stay. Thus, bound by unalloyed devotion, Shreehari rushed back to comfort His devotee.
