ટોરડાથી ખુશાલ ભટ્ટને તેડવા બ્રાહ્મણવેશે પધારેલા શ્રીહરિનો માણસામાં રાતવાસો, પાનબાંને મુક્તાત્મા પુત્રનો આશીર્વાદ, નરસિંહભાઈની લૂંટારાઓથી રક્ષા અને મંદિર નિર્માણ.
શ્રીહરિ બ્રાહ્મણનો વેશ ધારણ કરી ખુશાલ ભટ્ટ (સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી)ને તેડવા ટોરડા ગામે અચલેશ્વર મહાદેવના મંદિરે પધાર્યા અને તેમને લઈને જેતલપુર તરફ ચાલ્યા. માર્ગમાં ટાંકા-ટૂંકાથી ભગવાનદાસ પટેલ (પાછળથી કાનડાનંદ સ્વામી)ને સાથે લઈ તેઓ માણસા ગામે સાંકળેશ્વર ઉપાધ્યાય અને તેમના ધર્મપત્ની પાનબાંના ઘેર રાતવાસો કરવા રોકાયા. પાનબાંએ અતિ પ્રેમથી વાળુમાં ખીચડી-કઢી, રોટલા અને દૂધ જમાડ્યા. સવારે ચાલતી વેળાએ વૃદ્ધ બ્રાહ્મણરૂપે શ્રીહરિ તથા ખુશાલ ભટ્ટે પ્રસન્ન થઈ આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા: “પાનબાં! તમારી કૂખે એક દિવ્ય મુક્તાત્મા જન્મ લેશે, જે હજારો જીવોને સત્સંગ કરાવી તમારા કુળને અમર કીર્તિ અપાવશે!”
શ્રીહરિના વચન મુજબ સંવત ૧૮૬૭માં સાંકળેશ્વર અને પાનબાંના ઘેર તેજસ્વી પુત્ર ‘નરસિંહભાઈ’નો જન્મ થયો. નરસિંહભાઈ બાલ્યકાળથી જ શ્રીહરિના અનન્ય ભક્ત બન્યા. એકવખતે નરસિંહભાઈ વેપાર અર્થે વળાવિયાઓ (અંગરક્ષકો) સાથે રોકડ નાણાં લઈ નીકળ્યા. રસ્તામાં વાવમાં પાણી પીવા ઊતર્યા ત્યારે વળાવિયાઓની દાનત બગડી અને તેમણે નરસિંહભાઈને મારી નાખી લૂંટી લેવાનો મનસૂબો ઘડ્યો. અખંડ ભજનપરાયણ નરસિંહભાઈની રક્ષા કરવા શ્રીહરિએ ઐશ્વર્ય વાપરી ક્ષણવારમાં તેમને સદેહે માણસાના પાદરે પહોંચાડી દીધા! લૂંટારાઓ વાવ બહાર વાટ જોતા જ રહી ગયા.
આ પ્રત્યક્ષ પરચો પામી નરસિંહભાઈએ પોતાનું સર્વસ્વ પ્રભુસેવામાં અર્પણ કર્યું. માણસામાં પોતાનું ઘર અને આજુબાજુની જમીન સમર્પિત કરી સદગુરુ ભૂમાનંદ સ્વામી અને મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામીની દેખરેખ હેઠળ સુંદર મંદિરનું નિર્માણ કરાવ્યું. મંદિર બાંધકામ વખતે એક દ્વેષી જૈન સાધુએ મંત્રેલા અડદ નાખ્યા, તે કલ્યાણાનંદ સ્વામીએ રાંધીને ઠાકોરજીને થાળ કરી જમી લીધા; ચમત્કાર જોઈ સાધુ શરણે આવ્યો. એકવાર સવારે પૂજા કરતી વખતે શ્રીહરિએ સાક્ષાત્ દર્શન આપી નરસિંહભાઈને કૂવો ગાળતા મજૂરોને બહાર કાઢવા કહ્યું, અને પળવારમાં ભેખડ પડતાં સર્વે મજૂરોનો જીવ બચી ગયો. સદગુરુ ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી પણ જૂનાગઢમાં નરસિંહભાઈની ભક્તિ અને સંતસમાગમની મુક્તકંઠે પ્રશંસા કરતા.

માણસામાં સાંકળેશ્વર ઉપાધ્યાયના ઘેર બ્રાહ્મણરૂપે શ્રીહરિ, પાનબાંને પુત્ર આશીર્વાદ અને નરસિંહભાઈની રક્ષા
श्रीहरि वृद्ध ब्राह्मण का वेष धारण कर खुशाल भट्ट (सद्गुरु गोपालानंद स्वामी) को लेने टोरडा पहुँचे और उन्हें साथ लेकर चले। मार्ग में टांका-टूंका से भगवानदास पटेल को साथ लेकर वे माणसा में सांकलेश्वर उपाध्याय और पाँबां के गृह रात्रि-विश्राम हेतु ठहरे। पाँबां ने अत्यंत स्नेह से खिचड़ी-कढ़ी और दूध का भोजन कराया। प्रातः प्रस्थान के समय प्रभु और खुशाल भट्ट ने आशीर्वाद दिया: “पाँबां! तुम्हारी कोख से एक परम मुक्त आत्मा जन्म लेगी, जो सहस्रों जीवों का कल्याण कर तुम्हारे कुल को अमर कीर्ति प्रदान करेगी!”
वचनानुसार संवत १८६७ में पाँबां के घर ‘नरसिंहभाई’ का जन्म हुआ। वे बाल्यावस्था से ही अनन्य भक्त बने। एक बार व्यापार हेतु यात्रा करते समय उनके अंगरक्षकों ने धन के लोभ में उनकी हत्या का षड्यंत्र रचा। जब नरसिंहभाई बावड़ी में जल पीने उतरे, तब अंतर्यामी श्रीहरि ने अपने भक्त की रक्षा करते हुए उन्हें पलक झपकते ही माणसा के पादर पहुँचा दिया! लुटेरे बावड़ी के बाहर ताकते ही रह गए।
इस साक्षात् चमत्कार के पश्चात नरसिंहभाई ने अपना गृह और भूमि समर्पित कर माणसा में भव्य मंदिर का निर्माण कराया। मंदिर निर्माण के समय विरोधी तांत्रिकों के प्रहार निष्फल हुए। एक बार प्रातःपूजा के समय श्रीहरि ने साक्षात् प्रकट होकर कुआँ खोद रहे मजदूरों को बाहर निकालने का आदेश दिया, और क्षणभर में मिट्टी की ढलान ढहने से पूर्व सभी की रक्षा हो गई। सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी भी जूनागढ़ में नरसिंहभाई के सत्संग-प्रेम की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करते थे।

Mansa Sankaleshwar Upadhyay Narsinhbhai
Disguised as an elderly Brahmin, Bhagwan Swaminarayan traveled to Torda to escort Khushal Bhatt (later Sadguru Gopalanand Swami) toward Jetalpur. Along the way, joined by Bhagwandas Patel of Tanka-Tuka (later Kanadanand Swami), they stayed overnight in Mansa at the humble dwelling of Sankaleshwar Upadhyay and his pious wife, Panba. Panba served them hot khichdi, kadhi, fresh rotlas, and milk with motherly warmth. At daybreak, the elderly Brahmin (Shreehari) and Khushal Bhatt blessed Panba: “Panba! A divine liberated soul (mukta) will be born from your womb, who will inspire thousands toward spiritual liberation and bring everlasting glory to your lineage!”
In Samvat 1867, true to the divine benediction, a son named Narsinhbhai was born to Panba. From childhood, Narsinhbhai was an ardent devotee of Shreehari. Once, traveling on business with hired escorts while carrying large sums of cash, the guards plotted to murder and rob him. As Narsinhbhai stepped down into a roadside stepwell to drink water, omniscient Shreehari shielded His devotee, miraculously teleporting him in the blink of an eye straight to the outskirts of Mansa! The treacherous guards were left waiting empty-handed.
Experiencing this divine miracle, Narsinhbhai consecrated his entire wealth and ancestral estate to build the Mansa Mandir under the supervision of Sadguru Bhumanand Swami and Mahanubhavanand Swami. During construction, a jealous ascetic cast enchanted black beans, which Sadguru Kalyananand Swami simply cooked into soup and offered to God, causing the ascetic to repent and seek refuge in Satsang. Later, while Narsinhbhai was performing his morning puja, Shreehari appeared and commanded him to evacuate well-diggers from a deep trench; seconds after they climbed out, the earthen wall collapsed, saving everyone. Even Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami in Junagadh frequently extolled Narsinhbhai of Mansa among the foremost devotees of the Sampradaya.
