ગઢપુરમાં શ્રીગોપીનાથજી મંદિરના ચણતર વખતે પથ્થરો ખૂટતાં અને ગાડાં ન મળતાં સર્વે સંતો દ્વારા વાવડીની ખાણેથી માથે પથ્થરો ઉપાડી લાવવા, શ્રીહરિનું રાજી થઈને સંતોના મસ્તક પર ચરણારવિંદ આપવાં.
ગઢપુરમાં શ્રી ગોપીનાથજી મહારાજના ભવ્ય શિખરબદ્ધ મંદિરનું ચણતર કામ પૂરજોશમાં ચાલી રહ્યું હતું. શ્રીજીમહારાજ દરરોજ ત્યાં ખુરશી નંખાવીને બિરાજતા અને સેવા કરતા સૌ સંતો-હરિભક્તોને પ્રસાદી આપીને આલિંગન આપતા.
એક દિવસ કડીયાઓએ અક્ષરઓરડીએ આવીને વિનંતી કરી: “મહારાજ ! પથ્થરો ખૂટી ગયા છે તેથી ચણતર કામ અટકી પડ્યું છે!” શ્રીહરિએ તરત હરજી ઠક્કરને સાદ કરી કહ્યું, “ગામમાં દાદાખાચરના ખેડૂતો પાસે ગાડાં જોડાવો અને વાવડીની ખાણેથી પથ્થરો લાવો.” હરજી ઠક્કરે ગામમાં તપાસ કરી પરંતુ ખેતીની મોસમ હોવાથી ખેડૂતો અને બળદ-ગાડાં ખળાવાડમાં વ્યસ્ત હોવાથી કોઈ ગાડાં મળ્યાં નહીં; ભાડે ગાડાં શોધવા છતાં એક પણ ગાડું મળ્યું નહીં.
સાંજે જ્યારે સર્વે પરમહંસો શ્રીહરિને દંડવત્ પ્રણામ કરવા આવ્યા, ત્યારે પ્રભુએ કહ્યું: “સંતો ! પથ્થર વિના મંદિરનું ચણતર અટકી પડ્યું છે, માટે આવતીકાલે તમે સર્વે વાવડીની ખાણેથી પથ્થરો ઉપાડી લાવો!” સંતોએ હર્ષભેર આજ્ઞા શિરોધાર્ય કરી.
બીજે દિવસે વહેલી સવારે સ્નાન-પૂજા પરવારી સર્વે સંતો વાવડીની ખાણે ગયા અને પોતપોતાના માથા પર મોટા મોટા પથ્થરો ઉપાડીને અગિયાર વાગ્યે ગઢપુર પરત આવ્યા અને ચોગાનમાં પથ્થરોનો મોટો ઢગલો કરી દીધો! શ્રીજીમહારાજે અત્યંત રાજી થઈ સંતોને પંક્તિમાં બેસાડી બાજરીના ગરમાગરમ રોટલા, ઘી અને ગોળ પીરસીને પ્રેમપૂર્વક જમાડ્યા.
બપોરે થોડો વિશ્રામ કરી સંતો પુનઃ વાવડીની ખાણે ગયા અને સાંજે ફરીથી માથે પથ્થરો ઉપાડીને લાવ્યા અને મોટો ખડકલો કરી દીધો. સંતોને પરિશ્રમ કરીને પાછા આવેલા જાણી શ્રીહરિ ઉતાવળા પગલે અક્ષરઓરડીએથી પધાર્યા. સંતોની આવી અદ્ભુત ત્યાગ અને સમર્પણની સેવા જોઈ પ્રભુનું હૃદય છલકાઈ ગયું! તેમણે સ્વહસ્તે સંતોને ટાઢું પાણી પાયું અને સર્વેને પ્રેમથી બાથમાં ઘાલીને આલિંગન આપ્યું.
તે સમયે સંતોએ વિનંતી કરી: “હે મહારાજ ! આપ અતિ પ્રસન્ન થયા છો તો સર્વે સંતોને છાતીમાં ચરણારવિંદ આપો!” શ્રીજીમહારાજે મધુર હાસ્ય સાથે કહ્યું: “સંતો ! આખો દિવસ માથે પથ્થરો ઉપાડીને તમારાં માથાં તપી ગયાં હશે, માટે છાતીમાં નહીં પણ તમારાં માથાં ઉપર ચરણારવિંદ આપીએ છીએ જેથી શીતળતા વળે!” એમ કહી ઢોલિયે બિરાજી અતિ રાજીપો વરસાવતાં શ્રીહરિએ સર્વે સંતોના મસ્તક પર પોતાનાં પાવન ચરણારવિંદ પધરાવ્યાં!

गढपुर में गोपीनाथजी मंदिर हेतु संतों द्वारा पत्थर लाने की सेवा और मस्तक पर चरणारविंद
गढपुर में श्री गोपीनाथजी मंदिर का निर्माण कार्य चल रहा था। पत्थर समाप्त हो जाने पर जब गांव में किसानों के व्यस्त होने के कारण गाड़ियां नहीं मिलीं, तब श्रीजीमहाराज ने संतों से वावड़ी की खदान से पत्थर लाने का आग्रह किया।
संतों ने प्रातः स्नान-पूजा उपरांत सिर पर भारी पत्थर उठाकर खदान से मंदिर तक पहुंचाए। दोपहर में प्रभु ने उन्हें रोटला, घी और गुड़ का भोजन कराया। दोपहर बाद संतों ने पुनः सिर पर पत्थर ढोकर विशाल ढेर लगा दिया।
संतों के इस अगाध परिश्रम और भक्ति से द्रवित होकर श्रीहरि ने सबको शीतल जल पिलाया और आलिंगनबद्ध किया। जब संतों ने छाती पर चरणारविंद मांगे, तब प्रभु ने हंसकर कहा: “धूप में पत्थर ढोने से आपके मस्तक तप गए हैं, अतः हम आपके मस्तक पर चरण रखते हैं!” प्रभु ने सभी संतों के मस्तक पर अपने पवित्र चरणारविंद रखकर उन्हें परम आनंद प्रदान किया।

Gadhpur Gopinathji Mandir: Paramhansas Carrying Quarry Stones on Heads and Shreehari Bestowing Footprints
Construction of the magnificent pinnacle temple of Shree Gopinathji Maharaj was advancing rapidly in Gadhada. Shreeji Maharaj graced the construction site daily upon a chair, distributing prasad and embracing the hardworking saints and devotees.
One day, the master masons arrived at Akshar Ordi with an urgent concern: “Maharaj! Construction stones have run out and the masonry work has come to a standstill!” Shreehari instructed Harji Thakkar to enlist the farmers’ bullock carts to haul stones from the Vavdi quarries. However, being the peak harvest season, all farmers and draft oxen were engaged in threshing yards; not a single cart could be rented.
When the paramhansas gathered in the evening to offer prostrations, Shreehari proposed: “Saints! The temple construction is halted for lack of stone; pray haul the stones from Vavdi quarry upon your own heads tomorrow!” The ascetics joyfully accepted the command.
At dawn, after morning worship, the sadhus walked to the quarry, hoisted massive stones upon their heads, and returned to Gadhpur by eleven o’clock, creating an enormous mound in the temple courtyard. Overflowing with affection, Shreehari seated them in rows, lovingly serving them bajra rotlos bathed in pure ghee and jaggery.
Following a brief rest, the ascetics returned to the quarries in the afternoon heat, carrying another round of heavy stones upon their heads to build a magnificent stockpile. Learning of their arrival, Shreehari rushed from Akshar Ordi. Beholding their supreme ascetic surrender, Maharaj was moved to tears of divine joy, personally serving them cool water and embracing each monk.
When the saints prayed: “O Lord! Since You are immensely pleased, bestow Your divine footprints upon our chests!” Shreeji Maharaj chuckled tenderly: “Beloved saints! Carrying heavy stones under the scorching sun must have heated your heads; therefore, We shall place Our holy feet upon your heads to grant you celestial coolness!” Seated upon His cot, Shreehari placed His divine lotus feet upon the head of every single paramhansa, bestowing transcendental bliss.
