સંતોએ એક મહિનાનું ખાણકામ એક જ દિવસમાં પૂર્ણ કર્યું. ત્યારે શ્રીહરિએ તકિયે અઢેલી પોતાના દિવ્ય ચરણારવિંદ લંબાવીને સંતોને અનન્ય મહેનતાણું અર્પણ કર્યું.
એકવાર શ્રીહરિ ગઢપુરમાં દાદાખાચરના દરબારગઢમાં પાંચુબાના ઓરડાની ઓસરીએ બિરાજમાન હતા. સર્વે સંતો અને હરિભક્તો સન્મુખ બેસીને શ્રીહરિના દિવ્ય દર્શનનું અલોકિક સુખ માણી રહ્યા હતા. એ વખતે શ્રીહરિએ આનંદ સ્વામીને પોતાની પડખે બોલાવીને આજ્ઞા કરી: “આનંદ સ્વામી! હવે તમારો જૂનાગઢ જવાનો વારો આવ્યો છે. તમે અને મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી જૂનાગઢ પધારો, જેથી ત્યાંથી બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી પરત અહીં ગઢપુર આવી શકે!”
એ જ સમયે સચ્ચિદાનંદ સ્વામી વાડીએથી આવી પહોંચ્યા અને બે-અઢી મણ ગોળ લાવી શ્રીહરિના શ્રીચરણોમાં અર્પણ કર્યો. શ્રીહરિએ વચન ઉચ્ચાર્યું: “આ સંતો જૂનાગઢ પધારે છે, માટે આ ગોળ એમને આપો; રસ્તામાં તથા ત્યાં સૌને સાથવો જમવા કામ લાગશે!” એમ કહીને એ પ્રસાદીનો ગોળ આનંદ સ્વામી તથા મહાનુભાવાનંદ સ્વામી વગેરે સંતોને અપાવ્યો. બપોરે શ્રીહરિએ સ્વયં થાળ જમીને જૂનાગઢ પધારતા સંતોને પોતાના થાળની પ્રસાદી પણ સ્નેહપૂર્વક આપી. આનંદ સ્વામી અને સંતમંડળ જૂનાગઢ પધાર્યા અને બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી ગઢપુર પરત આવ્યા.
આનંદ સ્વામી એક મહિનો અને ચાર દિવસ સુધી જૂનાગઢ રહ્યા અને ત્યાં હુતાશની (હોળીનો ઉત્સવ) રંગેચંગે ઉજવીને પોતાના મંડળ સાથે ગઢપુર પરત પધાર્યા. એ વખતે પણ શ્રીહરિ એ જ પવિત્ર સ્થાને પાંચુબાના ઓરડાની ઓસરીએ સભા ભરીને બિરાજમાન હતા. સંતોએ આવીને સાષ્ટાંગ દંડવત પ્રણામ કર્યા અને સન્મુખ બેઠા. શ્રીહરિએ સૌ સંતોને જૂનાગઢના સમાચાર પૂછી અતિ પ્રસન્નતા વ્યક્ત કરી. પછી શ્રીહરિએ આજ્ઞા કરી: “જૂનાગઢથી પધારેલા સૌ સંતો આવતીકાલે સવારે ઘેલા નદીમાં પથ્થરની ખાણે જજો અને ખાણમાંથી મોટા પાણા બહાર કાઢીને આવજો.”
આ સાંભળીને આનંદ સ્વામીએ વિનમ્રભાવે અર્જ કરી: “હે મહારાજ! આવતીકાલે તો પવિત્ર એકાદશીનું વ્રત છે.” ત્યારે શ્રીહરિએ હસીને કહ્યું: “સૌ બાજરીયું ફરાળ કરીને વહેલી સવારે ખાણે પધારજો!”
વળતે દિવસે સૌ સંતો બાજરીનું ફરાળ આરોગીને ઘેલા નદીની ખાણે પહોંચી ગયા. શ્રીહરિની આજ્ઞાને શિરોધાર્ય ગણી સંતોએ એવા અપાર ઉત્સાહ અને બળથી સેવા કરી કે આખા મહિનાનું પથ્થરો કાઢવાનું કામ માત્ર એક જ દિવસમાં પૂર્ણ કરી દીધું! સાંજે સૌ સંતો દરબારગઢમાં પાછા ફર્યા અને શ્રીહરિને દંડવત પ્રણામ કર્યા.
શ્રીહરિએ પૂછ્યું: “કેમ સંતો! ખાણે કામ પૂરું કરીને આવ્યા?” સૌએ હર્ષપૂર્વક હા પાડી. ત્યારે શ્રીહરિ અતિ રાજી થઈ બોલ્યા: “તો ચાલો, વારાફરતી આગળ આવો; આજે અમે તમારું મહેનતાણું ચૂકવી દઈએ!”
એમ કહી શ્રીહરિએ તકિયાને ઓઠીંગણ આપી પોતાના બંને દિવ્ય ચરણારવિંદ લાંબા કર્યા. સર્વપ્રથમ સદ્ગુરુ આનંદ સ્વામીએ બંને હાથ વડે પ્રભુના ચરણકમળ પકડીને પોતાની આંખો, મસ્તક અને હૃદય-છાતીએ સ્નેહપૂર્વક ચાંપ્યા. ત્યારબાદ સર્વે સંતોએ વારાફરતી શ્રીહરિના ચરણકમળને પોતાના નેત્રો અને વક્ષઃસ્થળે અડાડી પરમાનંદનો અનુભવ કર્યો. આમ શ્રીહરિ પોતાના અનન્ય સેવક સંતોની નિઃસ્વાર્થ સેવા પર અત્યંત રીઝીને પોતાનું સર્વસ્વ એવા ચરણારવિંદનું દિવ્ય મહેનતાણું અર્પણ કરી કૃતાર્થ કર્યા.

एक बार श्रीहरि गढ़पुर में दादा खाचर के दरबार में पांचूबा के कमरे की ओसरी (दालान) में विराजमान थे। समस्त संत और हरिभक्त सम्मुख बैठकर श्रीहरि के दिव्य दर्शन का अलौकिक सुख प्राप्त कर रहे थे। उस समय श्रीहरि ने आनंद स्वामी को अपने निकट बुलाकर आज्ञा दी: “आनंद स्वामी! अब आपकी जूनागढ़ जाने की बारी आ गई है। आप और महानुभावानंद स्वामी जूनागढ़ पधारें, जिससे वहां से ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी पुनः गढ़पुर आ सकें!”
उसी समय सच्चिदानंद स्वामी वाड़ी (खेत) से दो-ढाई मन गुड़ लेकर आए और श्रीहरि के पावन चरणों में अर्पित किया। श्रीहरि ने फरमाया: “ये संत जूनागढ़ जा रहे हैं, अतः यह गुड़ इन्हें दे दो; मार्ग में तथा वहां सभी को साथवो (सत्तू) खाने के काम आएगा।” ऐसा कहकर वह प्रसादी का गुड़ आनंद स्वामी और महानुभावानंद स्वामी आदि संतों को दिलवाया। दोपहर में श्रीहरि ने स्वयं थाल आरोगकर जूनागढ़ प्रस्थान करने वाले संतों को अपने थाल का महाप्रसाद प्रदान किया। आनंद स्वामी और संत मंडल जूनागढ़ पधारे और ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी गढ़पुर लौट आए।
आनंद स्वामी एक माह और चार दिन तक जूनागढ़ में रहे और वहां हुताशनी (होली का पर्व) मनाकर अपने मंडल सहित गढ़पुर पधारे। उस समय भी श्रीजी महाराज उसी पांचूबा के कमरे की ओसरी में सभा सजाकर विराजमान थे। संतों ने आकर साष्टांग दंडवत प्रणाम किए और सन्मुख बैठ गए। श्रीहरि ने सभी संतों से जूनागढ़ के समाचार पूछकर अत्यंत प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की। फिर श्रीहरि ने आज्ञा दी: “जूनागढ़ से आए सभी संत कल प्रातःकाल घेला नदी के पत्थरों की खान में जाना और वहां से भारी पत्थर बाहर निकालकर आना।”
यह सुनकर आनंद स्वामी ने विनम्रतापूर्वक निवेदन किया: “हे महाराज! कल तो पवित्र एकादशी का व्रत है।” तब श्रीहरि ने मुस्कराते हुए कहा: “सभी बाजरे का फराल (फलाहार) करके प्रातःकाल खान पर जाना!”
अगले दिन सभी संत बाजरे का फराल करके घेला नदी की खान पर पहुंच गए। प्रभु की आज्ञा को शिरोधार्य मानकर संतों ने इतने अपार उत्साह से सेवा की कि पूरे एक महीने का कठिन कार्य केवल एक ही दिन में संपन्न कर दिया! शाम को सभी संत दरबार में लौटे और श्रीहरि को दंडवत प्रणाम किए।
श्रीहरि ने पूछा: “क्यों संतों! खान का कार्य पूर्ण करके आए?” सभी ने आनंदपूर्वक स्वीकृति दी। तब श्रीहरि अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर बोले: “तो आइए, बारी-बारी से आगे आइए; आज हम आपकी मजदूरी चुका देते हैं!”
इतना कहकर श्रीहरि ने तकिये का सहारा लेकर अपने दोनों पावन चरणारविंद आगे पसार दिए। सर्वप्रथम सद्गुरु आनंद स्वामी ने दोनों हाथों से प्रभु के चरणकमल थामकर अपने नेत्रों, मस्तक और वक्षस्थल पर प्रेमपूर्वक लगाए। उसके बाद सभी संतों ने क्रमपूर्वक श्रीहरि के चरणकमलों को अपने मस्तक और हृदय से लगाकर अखंड शांति और आनंद का अनुभव किया। इस प्रकार श्रीहरि ने निष्काम सेवाभावी संतों पर रीझकर अपने साक्षात चरणारविंद की अनमोल मजदूरी प्रदान कर सभी को कृतार्थ किया।

Anand Swami and the Saints’ Quarry Seva in Gadhpur and Shreehari’s Divine Wage of Lotus Feet
Once, Shreehari was seated on the veranda of Panchuba’s chambers within Dada Khachar’s royal residence in Gadhpur. The assembly of saints and devotees sat before Him, reveling in the transcendental bliss of His divine darshan. At that moment, Shreehari called Sadguru Anand Swami near Him and commanded, “Anand Swami! Now your turn has come to proceed to Junagadh. You and Mahanubhavanand Swami should travel to Junagadh so that Sadguru Brahmanand Swami may return here to Gadhpur!”
Just then, Sacchidanand Swami arrived from the farm and placed two to two-and-a-half mounds (man) of jaggery at Shreehari’s holy lotus feet. Shreehari lovingly remarked, “These sadhus are departing for Junagadh, so give this jaggery to them; it will serve as their sweet nourishment (sathvo) on the journey and at the destination!” Saying this, the consecrated jaggery was distributed to Anand Swami, Mahanubhavanand Swami, and the accompanying saints. In the afternoon, after partaking of the sanctified feast (thal), Shreehari personally blessed the departing saints with the sanctified prasad of His own meal. Anand Swami and the sant mandal departed for Junagadh, while Brahmanand Swami returned to Gadhpur.
Anand Swami remained in Junagadh for one month and four days, celebrated the festive occasion of Hutashani (Holi) with immense devotion, and then returned with his group to Gadhpur. Upon arrival, they found Shreehari seated in spiritual assembly in the very same veranda of Panchuba’s room. The saints prostrated flat on the ground (dandvat pranam) and sat before Him. Shreehari enquired about the welfare and events in Junagadh and was exceedingly delighted. Shreehari then instructed, “Tomorrow morning, all the saints who have returned from Junagadh must proceed to the stone quarry in the Ghela river and quarry out heavy stones.”
Hearing this, Anand Swami politely submitted, “O Maharaj! Tomorrow is the sacred fast of Ekadashi.” Hearing this, Shreehari smiled warmly and replied, “All of you should consume a hearty millet faral (bajri faral) and then proceed to the quarry!”
The following morning, after partaking of the sanctioned fasting sustenance, the saints reached the Ghela river stone quarry. Reverently honoring the divine command, the saints laboured with such tireless spiritual devotion and collective strength that they accomplished an entire month’s quarrying work within a single day! In the evening, the exhausted yet joyful saints returned to the darbar and offered prostrations to Shreehari.
Shreehari enquired with tender concern, “Well, sadhus! Did you finish the quarry work?” When all joyfully answered in the affirmative, Shreehari smiled radiantly and proclaimed, “Come forward one by one; today We shall pay you your wages!”
Saying this, Shreehari reclined against a bolster pillow and stretched out His divine lotus feet. First, Sadguru Anand Swami reverently held both divine lotus feet with both hands and touched them lovingly to his eyes, forehead, and chest. Thereafter, every saint approached in turn, pressing the sanctified lotus feet to their eyes, head, and heart, experiencing supreme transcendental bliss. Thus, pleased beyond measure by the selfless labour of His dedicated ascetics, Shreehari granted them the supreme spiritual remuneration of His divine lotus feet.
