શ્રીહરિ સ્વધામ સીધાવયા પછે શ્રીહરિના હજૂરી પાર્ષદશ્રી નાજા જોગીયા જૂનાગઢ સદગુરુ શ્રી ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી પાસે રહેવા આવ્યા. તેઓ સાધુ થયા ને સાધુ ધનશ્યામ દાસજી એવું નામ પાડ્યું.

શ્રીહરિ સ્વધામ સીધાવયા પછે શ્રીહરિના હજૂરી પાર્ષદશ્રી નાજા જોગીયા જૂનાગઢ સદગુરુ શ્રી ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી પાસે રહેવા આવ્યા. તેઓ સાધુ થયા ને સાધુ ધનશ્યામ દાસજી એવું નામ પાડ્યું. તેઓ સ્વામીની આજ્ઞા મુજબ રહીને મંદિરમા તેમનાથી તમામ શક્ય સેવા કરીને રાજીપો રળતા.
એકદિવસ એ એમના આસને ધ્યાનમાં બેઠા હતા. એવામાં સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી ત્યાથી પસાર થયા એટલે અંતર્યામીપણે એમના મનનો સંકલ્પ જાણીને બોલ્યા કે ઘનશ્યામ દાસ..! ધ્યાન કરો છ કે ગઢપુરની ટીલકાવાળી ભેંશ સંભારો છ? નાજા જોગીયા તો તુરંત સ્વામી નો મર્મ પામી ગયા ને ઉભા થયાને સ્વામી ને દંડવત કરીને બોલ્યા કે સ્વામી, ખરેખર તમે અંતર્યામી છોવ, ધ્યાન કરતા એ સમયે મારા મનમાં ગઢપુરની ટીલકાવાળી ભેંશ જ સાંભરતી હતી. હવે તમે કૃપા કરો તો મહારાજની મુર્તીમાં મનની વૃતિ સ્થીર થાય અને ફરીને આવા સંકલ્પો ફરીને ક્યારેય ન થાય. ત્યારે સ્વામી હસ્યા અને કહે જુઓ ઘનશ્યામદાસજી..! મન તો બહુ ચંચળ છે, તે સતત સંકલ્પ કર્યા જ કરે..! તમે મહારાજની મુર્તી સંભારીન અંગે અંગનું ધ્યાન કરવાનો અભ્યાસ રાખજો, એમ કરયે ધીરે ધીરે તમારી વૃત્તિ ભગવાનની મુર્તીમા સ્થીર થશે.
સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામીનો આવો અલૌકિક પૃભાવ જોઇને એમને ઘણો સ્વામી પૃતયે ઘણો અહોભાવ થયો. પછી તો નિત્ય તેઓ સ્વામીની કથા સાંભળવા ખબડદાર થઇને હાજર થઇ જતા. સ્વામીના અનુગૃહે એમને શ્રીહરિની મુર્તીની અખંડવૃતિ રહેવા લાગી.
એકદિવસ ઘનશયામદાસજીએ હાથ જોડીને નિષ્કપટપણે સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામીને કહ્યુકે સ્વામી, ભગવાન ના સ્વરુપ નુ સાચું મહાત્મય તો સાચા સંતના જોગે કરીને જ સમજાય…! અમે જ્યારે શ્રીહરિના હજૂરી પાર્ષદ તરીકે રહેતા ત્યારે એવું સમજતા કે અમે તો હમેશાં ભગવાન ભેળા રહીએ છીએ, એથી અમે જ ભગવાનના સ્વરુપ ને ખરેખરું સમજીએ છીએ. અમોને જ મહારાજનું ખરું સુખ મળે છે, તમ જેવા મોટા સાધુનું અમને એ સમયે બહુ મહાત્મય નહોતુ.
એકદિવસે ગઢપુરમાં રોંઢો ઢળ્યે અમે પાર્ષદો ઘેલા નદીએ નાવા સારુ અને ઘોડાને પાણી પાવા સારું ગયા હતા, તે એ સમયે નાહીને ઘોડાને પાણી પાઇને નદીના પટમાં સહુ ગપાટા મારતા હતા. એ સમયે કૃપાનંદ સ્વામી ને સંતો તયા નદીએ સ્નાન કરવા આવ્યા એટલે સ્નાન કરીને તેઓ બેઠા. તેઓ પરસ્પર મહારાજના લીલાચરિત્રો ની વાતો કરતા હતા, એટલે કૃપાનંદ સ્વામીએ સાદ કરીને અમને કહ્યું કે પાર્ષદો..! આવો ને અમ સાથે બેહો ને ભગવાનની વાતો સાંભળો. ત્યારે મે એમને કહ્યું હતું કે “સ્વામી, તમે જેની વાતો કરો છો એના ભેળા તો અમે કાયમ રહીએ છીએ, જે શ્રીહરિના ચરિત્રો ની તમે વાતો કરો છો એ જ શ્રીહરિના હારે જ અમે સમગૃ કૃીયા મા હારોહાર રહીએ છીએ.” આમ કહીને સંતોની ઉપેક્ષા કરી.
ત્યારે કૃપાનંદ સ્વામીએ અમોને કહેલું કે ‘પાર્ષદો..! એ ભલે..! ભવિષ્ય મા તમને જ્યારે કોઇ મોટા સંતનો યોગ થાશે ત્યારે આ વાત સમજાશે.’ સ્વામીના એ વાક્ય નો મર્મ અમને હવે આજ તમારા સમાસ કર્યે સમજાયો. હવે આજ એ કૃપાનંદ સ્વામીના શબ્દો ખરેખરા સમજાયા. જો મે તમારી કથાવાર્તા ન સાંભળી હોત કે તમારો સમાગમ ન કર્યો હોત તો મને શ્રીહરિનો આવો મહીમાં કેમ કરીને સમજાત..! મને બહુ મોટી ખોટ્ય થાત અને બહુ પસ્તાવું પડત..! હવે મને ખબર પડીકે સત્પુરુષના સમાગમ વિના બધુ જ વ્યર્થ છે.
આમ, ઘનશ્યામ દાસજી(નાજા જોગીયા) એ સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામીનો અતિ મહીમાં સમજીને સ્વામીની આજ્ઞા મુજબ સેવા કરીને સ્વામીને ખુબ રાજી કર્યા અને પોતાનું શેષ જીવન પોતે જૂનાગઢ શ્રી રાધારમણ દેવના મંદિરે જ રહ્યા.

नाजा जोगिया (घनश्यामदासजी) और गुणातीतानंद स्वामी
श्रीहरि के स्वधाम (अक्षरधाम) गमन के पश्चात्, श्रीहरि के अंतरंग हजूरी पार्षद श्री नाजा जोगिया जूनागढ़ में सद्गुरु श्री गुणातीतानंद स्वामी के सान्निध्य में रहने के लिए आए। वहाँ वे साधु बने और स्वामी ने उनका नाम ‘साधु घनश्यामदासजी’ रखा। वे स्वामी की आज्ञा में रहकर मंदिर में अपनी पूर्ण शक्ति से यथासंभव सेवा करते और स्वामी का हार्दिक राज़ीपा (प्रसन्नता) प्राप्त करते थे।
एक दिन घनश्यामदासजी अपने आसन पर ध्यान में बैठे थे। उसी समय सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी वहाँ से निकले। स्वामी ने अंतर्यामी रूप से उनके मन के संकल्प को जानकर कहा, “घनश्यामदास..! ध्यान कर रहे हो या गढ़पुर वाली तिलक के निशान वाली भैंस को याद कर रहे हो?” नाजा जोगिया तुरंत स्वामी का मर्म समझ गए। वे तुरंत उठ खड़े हुए और स्वामी को साष्टांग दंडवत प्रणाम करते हुए बोले, “स्वामी! वास्तव में आप अंतर्यामी हैं। ध्यान करते समय मेरे मन में गढ़पुर की उस तिलक वाली भैंस का ही विचार आ रहा था। अब आप ही कृपा कीजिए जिससे मेरे मन की वृत्ति महाराज की दिव्य मूर्ति में स्थिर हो जाए और भविष्य में कभी ऐसे व्यर्थ संकल्प न उठें।” तब स्वामी ने मन्द हास्य करते हुए कहा, “देखो घनश्यामदासजी..! मन बड़ा चंचल होता है, वह निरंतर तरह-तरह के संकल्प करता ही रहता है! आप महाराज के स्वरूप का स्मरण करते हुए उनके एक-एक अंग का ध्यान करने का निरंतर अभ्यास रखिए। ऐसा करने से धीरे-धीरे आपकी वृत्ति भगवान की मूर्ति में पूर्णतया स्थिर हो जाएगी।”
सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी का ऐसा अलौकिक प्रभाव देखकर उनके हृदय में स्वामी के प्रति अपार अहोभाव और श्रद्धा जागृत हो गई। तत्पश्चात वे नित्य सजग होकर स्वामी की दिव्य कथा-वार्ता सुनने के लिए उपस्थित होने लगे। स्वामी की विशेष कृपा से उन्हें श्रीहरि की मूर्ति का अखंड ध्यान और स्मृति रहने लगी।
एक दिन घनश्यामदासजी ने करबद्ध होकर अत्यंत निष्कपट भाव से सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी से कहा, “स्वामी! भगवान के स्वरूप का यथार्थ माहात्म्य तो सच्चे संत के समागम से ही समझ में आता है! जब हम श्रीहरि के हजूरी पार्षद के रूप में सेवा में रहते थे, तब हम यही समझते थे कि हम तो सदैव भगवान के साथ ही रहते हैं, अतः हम ही भगवान के स्वरूप को भली-भाँति समझते हैं और हमें ही महाराज का सच्चा सुख प्राप्त है। उस समय हमें आप जैसे महान संतों का यथार्थ माहात्म्य समझ में नहीं आया था।
एक दिन गढ़पुर में तीसरे पहर (अपराह्न) हम सभी पार्षद घेलानदी पर स्नान करने और घोड़ों को पानी पिलाने गए थे। स्नान कराकर और घोड़ों को पानी पिलाकर हम नदी के तट पर बैठकर गपशप कर रहे थे। उसी समय कृपानंद स्वामी अन्य संतों के साथ नदी में स्नान करने पधारे। स्नान के बाद संतजन बैठ गए और परस्पर महाराज के दिव्य लीला-चरित्रों की चर्चा करने लगे। तब कृपानंद स्वामी ने हमें पुकार कर कहा, ‘पार्षदों! आओ, हमारे साथ बैठो और भगवान की दिव्य वार्ताएँ सुनो।’ तब मैंने उनसे कहा था, ‘स्वामी! आप जिनकी बातें कर रहे हैं, हम तो सदा उन्हीं के साथ रहते हैं! जिन श्रीहरि के चरित्रों की आप चर्चा कर रहे हैं, उन्हीं श्रीहरि के साथ हम उनकी हर क्रिया में हर समय साथ रहते हैं!’ ऐसा कहकर मैंने संतों की उपेक्षा कर दी थी।
तब कृपानंद स्वामी ने हमसे कहा था, ‘पार्षदों! ठीक है! भविष्य में जब तुम्हें किसी समर्थ बड़े संत का योग प्राप्त होगा, तब तुम्हें यह बात समझ आएगी।’ स्वामी के उस कथन का गूढ़ रहस्य आज आपके समागम से मेरी समझ में आया है। आज मुझे कृपानंद स्वामी के वे वचन पूरी तरह समझ में आए। यदि मैंने आपकी कथा-वार्ता न सुनी होती और आपका समागम न किया होता, तो मुझे श्रीहरि की ऐसी अलौकिक महिमा कभी समझ न आती! मुझे बहुत बड़ी आध्यात्मिक हानि होती और जीवन भर पछताना पड़ता! अब मुझे अनुभव हुआ कि सत्पुरुष के समागम के बिना सब कुछ व्यर्थ है।”
इस प्रकार घनश्यामदासजी (नाजा जोगिया) ने सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी की परम महिमा को समझकर उनकी आज्ञानुसार सेवा की, उन्हें अत्यंत प्रसन्न किया और अपना शेष जीवन जूनागढ़ के श्री राधारमण देव मंदिर में ही व्यतीत किया।

Naja Jogiya (Ghanshyamdasji) and Gunatitanand Swami
After Shri Hari returned to His divine abode (Akshardham), His personal attendant (hajuri parshad), Naja Jogiya, came to Junagadh to reside in the holy fellowship of Sadguru Shri Gunatitanand Swami. There, he received initiation into the sadhu fold and was given the name Sadhu Ghanshyamdasji. Living faithfully in accordance with Swami’s commands (agna), he performed every possible seva in the mandir with utmost devotion, earning Swami’s abundant divine pleasure (rajipo).
One day, Ghanshyamdasji was sitting at his seat absorbed in meditation. Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami happened to walk past him. Knowing his inner thoughts through His divine omniscience (antaryami), Swami playfully said, “Ghanshyamdas..! Are you meditating on God, or are you reminiscing about the tilak-marked buffalo of Gadhpur?” Naja Jogiya immediately grasped the inner meaning of Swami’s remark. Standing up, he offered prostrations (dandvat pranam) at Swami’s feet and confessed, “Swami, You are truly omniscient! While meditating, the memory of that tilak-marked buffalo from Gadhpur indeed crossed my mind. Now, please bestow Your divine grace upon me so that my mind’s focus becomes steadfastly anchored upon Maharaj’s divine murti, and such worldly thoughts never arise again.” Swami smiled and lovingly advised, “Look, Ghanshyamdasji..! The mind is inherently restless; it constantly generates countless wandering thoughts (sankalpas)! Keep practicing meditation upon each and every divine limb of Maharaj’s sacred form. By doing so persistently, your consciousness (vrutti) will gradually become firmly established in Bhagwan’s murti.”
Witnessing such extraordinary spiritual insight and divinity of Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami, Ghanshyamdasji felt profound reverence and devotion toward him. From that day forward, he would eagerly arrive without fail to listen to Swami’s daily spiritual discourses (katha). By Swami’s divine grace, he attained uninterrupted contemplation and inner vision of Shri Hari’s murti.
One day, Ghanshyamdasji folded his hands and guilelessly confided in Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami: “Swami, the true glory (mahatmya) of Bhagwan’s divine form can only be understood through association with an authentic Satpurush (God-realized saint)! When we served as personal attendants (hajuri parshads) to Shri Hari, we mistakenly presumed that because we were constantly by Bhagwan’s physical side, we alone truly understood Him and experienced His supreme bliss. At that time, we did not realize the profound greatness of exalted sadhus like you.
Once in Gadhpur, late in the afternoon, we parshads went to the holy Ghela river to bathe and water the horses. After doing so, we sat leisurely on the riverbank chatting. At that moment, Krupanand Swami and several sadhus arrived at the river to bathe. After their bath, they sat down and began sharing discourses on the divine lilas and charitras of Maharaj. Krupanand Swami called out to us, ‘Parshads! Come, sit with us and listen to the divine talks of Bhagwan.’ But I replied arrogantly, ‘Swami, the One whose talks you narrate, we remain with Him day and night! The very Shri Hari whose divine deeds you speak of—we accompany Him side by side in every single activity!’ Saying so, I disregarded the holy sadhus.
Krupanand Swami then calmly observed, ‘Parshads! Very well! In the future, when you receive the company of an exalted, spiritually realized saint, you will understand the truth of what I say.’ The deep wisdom of Swami’s words has dawned upon me today through your holy fellowship! Today, I finally comprehend the true import of Krupanand Swami’s words. Had I not listened to your discourses and associated with you, how could I have ever understood such transcendental glory of Shri Hari! I would have suffered an immense spiritual loss and spent my life in regret! Now I have realized that without the association of a Satpurush, everything else is entirely futile.”
In this manner, Ghanshyamdasji (Naja Jogiya) recognized the supreme greatness of Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami, devotedly served according to his wishes, pleased him immensely, and spent the remainder of his life in spiritual service at the Shri Radharaman Dev Mandir in Junagadh.
