નિમાડ દેશના સરસોદ ગામે રામજીભાઈ પાટીદારના અસાધ્ય રોગનું સંતોના ‘જય સ્વામિનારાયણ’ ઉચ્ચારણ માત્રથી નિવારણ અને પ્રગટ પ્રભુની અનન્ય નિષ્ઠાનું ચરિત્ર.
મધ્યભારતના નિમાડ પ્રદેશમાં સરસોદ નામે એક સુંદર ગામ આવેલું છે. ત્યાં રામજીભાઈ નામે એક સદાચારી પાટીદાર હરિભક્ત રહેતા હતા. વૃદ્ધાવસ્થામાં તેમને શરીરે અસાધ્ય વ્યાધિ થઈ આવી. રોગ મટાડવા માટે તેમણે વૈદ્યો-હકીમોના અસંખ્ય ઔષધો કર્યા. અનેક દેવી-દેવતાઓ અને પિતૃઓની માનતાઓ માની તથા સંન્યાસી-સાધુઓને જમાડ્યા, છતાં તેમનો રોગ લેશમાત્ર ઘટ્યો નહીં પણ દિવસે દિવસે વધતો ગયો. શરીર એટલું ક્ષીણ થઈ ગયું કે તેઓ પથારીવશ થઈ ગયા અને અંતકાળ નજીક લાગવા માંડ્યો.
તેવામાં રામજીભાઈના પૂર્વજન્મના કોઈ મહાન પુણ્ય ઉદય થયા અને ભગવાન શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણના એકાંતિક સંતો વિચરણ કરતાં કરતાં સરસોદ ગામમાં તેમના ઘેર પધાર્યા! સંતોએ રામજીભાઈની પથારી પાસે જઈને અત્યંત સ્નેહપૂર્વક ‘જય સ્વામિનારાયણ’ કહીને ખબરઅંતર પૂછ્યા.
સંતોના મુખમાંથી નીકળેલો ‘સ્વામિનારાયણ’ મહામંત્રનો ધ્વનિ અને તેમની અમૃતમય કરુણાદ્રષ્ટિ પડતાં જ રામજીભાઈના શરીરમાં રહેલો વર્ષો જૂનો અસાધ્ય રોગ ક્ષણવારમાં કપૂરની જેમ ઊડી ગયો! વર્ષોથી પથારીવશ રહેલા રામજીભાઈ તુરંત નિરોગી થઈને બેઠા થઈ ગયા અને સંતોના ચરણોમાં ઢળી પડ્યા.
સંતોએ તેમને પૂર્ણ પુરુષોત્તમ ભગવાન શ્રીસ્વામિનારાયણના પ્રગટ સ્વરૂપનો મહિમા સમજાવી કંઠી બાંધી વર્તમાન ધરાવ્યા. રામજીભાઈ અને તેમનો સમગ્ર પરિવાર આજીવન શ્રીહરિના અનન્ય નિષ્ઠાવાન સત્સંગી બન્યા. સંતોના ચરણસ્પર્શથી દેહના રોગની સાથે ભવરોગ પણ સદાને માટે નાશ પામે છે.

मध्य भारत के निमाड़ प्रदेश के सरसोद गांव में रामजीभाई नामक एक पाटीदार रहते थे। वृद्धावस्था में वे एक असाध्य रोग से ग्रसित हो गए। उन्होंने अनेक औषधियां कीं, देवी-देवताओं की मन्नतें मानीं और साधुओं को भोजन कराया, किंतु रोग बढ़ता ही गया। वे पूर्णतः शैय्याग्रस्त हो गए और मृत्यु की प्रतीक्षा करने लगे।
तभी उनके पूर्व जन्म के पुण्योदय से भगवान स्वामिनारायण के त्यागी संत विचरण करते हुए उनके द्वार पर पधारे। संतों ने उनकी खाट के पास जाकर परम स्नेह से ‘जय स्वामिनारायण’ कहकर कुशल-क्षेम पूछा।
संतों के मुख से उच्चारित महामंत्र और उनकी अमृतमयी दृष्टि पड़ते ही रामजीभाई का असाध्य रोग क्षणभर में समाप्त हो गया! वे तुरंत स्वस्थ होकर उठ बैठे और संतों के चरणों में नतमस्तक हो गए।
संतों ने उन्हें प्रभु स्वामिनारायण के सर्वोपरि स्वरूप की महिमा बताकर कंठी पहनाई। रामजीभाई का संपूर्ण परिवार अनन्य सत्संगी बन गया। संतों के पावन संग से तन और मन दोनों के रोग मिट जाते हैं।

Ramjibhai Patidar of Sarsod in Nimar: Miracle of Healing from Incurable Disease through Holy Saints
In the village of Sarsod within the Nimar region of central India lived a virtuous farmer named Ramjibhai Patidar. In his old age, he was struck by a severe and incurable physical ailment. He consulted numerous physicians, took countless herbal concoctions, observed vows to various deities, and offered feasts to ascetics, yet his illness worsened relentlessly. Emaciated and bedridden, he felt his final hour fast approaching.
By virtue of his great accumulated spiritual merits from past lives, the renunciant sadhus of Bhagwan Swaminarayan arrived at his house during their spiritual travels. Approaching his bedside with boundless divine affection, the sadhus greeted him with ‘Jai Swaminarayan’ and inquired of his well-being.
The moment the sanctified vibration of the ‘Swaminarayan’ mahamantra resonated from the sadhus’ lips and their compassionate gaze fell upon him, Ramjibhai’s chronic incurable disease dissolved entirely, just like camphor in fire! Bedridden for years, he sat up completely cured and hale, falling prostrate at the holy feet of the saints in tears of wonder.
The sadhus initiated him into the Satsang with sacred kanthis and expounded the divine glory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Ramjibhai and his entire household embraced the faith wholeheartedly. The sanctifying touch of true saints dispels not only mortal diseases, but the eternal afflictions of worldly transmigration.
