સમઢીયાળાના કુંભા વણજર અને કાલસારીના ડુંગર પટેલ
એકવખત સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી સાત આઠ સંતોના મંડળ સાથે લઇને ઉના જળઝીલણી નો ઉત્સવ કરવા પધાર્યા. નાઘેર ને બાબરીયાવાડના ગામડાઓમા જાણે સત્સંગની હેલી થઇ. જળઝીલણી એકાદશી નો ઉત્સવ કરવા સૌને તેડાવ્યા. સૌ હરિભક્તો ને સ્વામી એ નદીમાં ઠાકોરજીને સૌએ જળ ઝીલાવ્યા ને સૌએ અલૌકિક લાભ લીધો. રોંઢો થતા સૌ હરિભક્તો પોતપોતાને ગામ જવા ઠાકોરજીના દર્શન કરીને સ્વામી પાહે રજા લેવા આવ્યા ને ઘરે ગયા. ગામ સમઢીયાળાથી આવેલા કૂંભા વણજર ને પોતાનું ગામ આઘું ને પોતાની પાહે બળદગાડુ કે ઘોડું પણ ન હોવાથી પગપાળા જંગલ ના કેડે નીકળવું યોગ્ય ન હોય મનમા મનમા મૂંજવણ થઇ. પોતાને મનમા મનમા ઘાટ થવા લાગ્યા કે હવે નીકળીશ તો ઘેર કેમ કરીને પહોચાશે..! એમ મનમા વિચારોની ગડમથલ મા સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી પાહે દર્શને આવ્યા. સ્વામી અંતર્યામીપણે ભગતના મનના સંકલ્પ જાણી ને બોલ્યા કે કૂંભાભગત..! મનના વિચારો મુકી દ્યો ને રાત્ય રોકાય જાવ. આમેય હવે મોડીરાતે જંગલ મા કેડે એકલા ચાલવું એ વિવેક ન કહેવાય. સવારે શીરામણ કરીને મારી ઘોડી લઇને જજો. આ સાંભળીને કૂંભો વણજર તો અવાક્ થય ગયા ને થોડીવારે સ્વસ્થ થઇને બોલ્યા કે સ્વામી, તમે આજ મારા અંતરની વાત્ય ને જાણી લીધી. મોરે આત્માનંદ સ્વામી ને ગરું રામાનંદ સ્વામી તે આમ જ મનની વાત ને જાણી જાતા. મને તમારા મા આજે ગરું રામાનંદ સ્વામીની પૃતિત આવી. કૂંભાભગત રાત્ય રોકાયા ને રાતયે મંદિરમા સંતોનો સમાગમ કર્યો ને પોતાને ગામ સંતોને આવવા નો કોલ લઇને સવારે શીરામણ-રોટલા ખાઇને સમઢીયાળા ગયા. કૂંભાભગત ના આગૃહે સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી થોડે દિવસે મંડળ સાથે સમઢીયાળા પધાર્યા ને ત્યાં રોકાઇ ને ગીરમાં ચાલીને ગામ કાલસારી પધાર્યા. ત્યાં ના હરિભક્તોએ સ્વામીને વારાફરતી રસોઇઓ આપી ને પાંચ દિવસ રોક્યા. સૌ ગામના હરિભક્તો એ પધરામણી કરાવી, ધોતીયા ઓઢાડી ને સંતોનુ પૂજન કર્યું. છઠ્ઠે જમણ સંતો સવારે વહેલા નીકળ્યા તે સમે ગામના મુમુક્ષુ ડૂંગર પટેલ ને થયું કે આ મોટા સંત આજ આજ આવ્યા છે તો મારી વાડીના મોટા ચીભડા એમને જમાડુ એ સંકલ્પે ફાંટ ભરીને લઇને આવ્યા. સદગુરુ ગુણાતિતાનંદ સ્વામી મુમુક્ષુ ને જાણી ગયા ને બોલ્યા કે આ ચીભડાંનું બિયારણ બવ સારુ છે તે ચીભડા પણ બવ સારા થયા છ. એમ બોલીને ડૂંગર પટેલ ઉપર કૃપાદષ્ટિ કરીને બોલ્યા કે આ ડૂંગર પટેલ પણ સારા સત્સંગી થાય એવા જ છે હો..! પછે સ્વામી ચીભડાઓ ધોઇ સુધારીને ઠાકોરજી ને ધરાવી ને સ્વામી પોતે ને સંતો જમ્યા. પોતે ત્યાંથી ચાલ્યા તે બીલખા થઇને જુનાગઢ મંદિરે પધાર્યા. પેલા ડૂંગર ભગતના અંતર મા સ્વામીના એ આશીર્વાદ જાણે અંતરમાં દીવો જગાવી ગયા તે બહુ સારા સત્સંગી થયા ને સમય વિત્યે પોતે અસાર સંસાર નો ત્યાગ કરીને જુનાગઢ સ્વામી પાસે આવ્યા. સ્વામીના વચને તેઓ સંસાર નો ત્યાગ કરીને જીવ્યા ત્યાં સુધી જુનાગઢ મંદિરની ડેલીએ ચોકીદાર તરીકે સેવા કરી ને અંતે અક્ષરધામમાં સીધાવયા. મોટાપુરુષ ના અનુગૃહ થતા એકજ દર્શને ડૂંગરભગતનું જીવન બદલાઇ ગયુને અક્ષરધામ પણ રોકડું થઇ ગયું.

समढियाला के कुंभा वणजर और कालसारी के डूंगर पटेल
एक बार सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी सात-आठ संतों के मंडल को साथ लेकर जलझीलनी एकादशी का पावन उत्सव मनाने के लिए ऊना पधारे। ऐसा प्रतीत हुआ मानो नाघेर और बाबरीयावाड के गाँवों में सत्संग की अविरल वर्षा होने लगी हो। जलझीलनी एकादशी के उत्सव के लिए सभी हरिभक्तों को आमंत्रित किया गया। स्वामी ने नदी में सभी भक्तों के साथ मिलकर ठाकोरजी को जलझीलनी कराई और सभी ने इस अलौकिक दर्शन का अपार लाभ प्राप्त किया।
तीसरे पहर (रोंढो/संध्या पूर्व) सभी हरिभक्त अपने-अपने गाँव लौटने के लिए ठाकोरजी के दर्शन करके स्वामीजी से विदा लेने आए और घर लौटने लगे। समढियाला गाँव से आए कुंभा वणजर का गाँव दूर था। उनके पास न तो बैलगाड़ी थी और न ही कोई घोड़ा। पैदल ही घने जंगल के रास्ते से जाना निरापद नहीं था, इसलिए उनके मन में बड़ी दुविधा उत्पन्न हो गई। वे मन ही मन चिंता करने लगे कि यदि अब इस समय प्रस्थान करूँगा, तो सकुशल घर कैसे पहुँच पाऊँगा!
मन में विचारों के इसी द्वंद्व के बीच वे सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी के दर्शन करने आए। स्वामीजी ने अंतर्यामी रूप से भक्त के मन के संकल्प को जान लिया और बोले, “कुंभाभगत! मन के व्यर्थ विचार छोड़ दीजिए और आज रात यहीं रुक जाइए। वैसे भी इतनी देर से रात के समय अकेले जंगल के रास्ते चलना विवेकपूर्ण नहीं है। प्रातःकाल नाश्ता (शीरामण) करके हमारी घोड़ी लेकर चले जाना।” यह सुनकर कुंभा वणजर आश्चर्यचकित रह गए और कुछ क्षणों बाद भावविभोर होकर बोले, “स्वामी! आज आपने मेरे अंतर्मन की बात जान ली। पूर्वकाल में आत्मानंद स्वामी और गुरु रामानंद स्वामी भी इसी प्रकार मन की बात जान लिया करते थे। आज मुझे आपमें गुरु रामानंद स्वामी की साक्षात् प्रतीति हुई है।” कुंभाभगत उस रात वहीं रुके, मंदिर में संतों का दिव्य समागम किया और अपने गाँव समढियाला में संतों को पधारने का वचन लेकर, प्रातःकाल नाश्ता ग्रहण करने के उपरांत गाँव लौट गए।
कुंभाभगत के अनन्य आग्रह पर कुछ दिनों बाद सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी संतों के मंडल के साथ समढियाला पधारे। वहाँ कुछ दिन ठहरने के बाद, वे गीर के जंगलों से होते हुए कालसारी गाँव पधारे। कालसारी के हरिभक्तों ने बारी-बारी से स्वामी को रसोई की सेवा दी और पाँच दिनों तक वहीं रोक लिया। गाँव के सभी भक्तों ने अपने-अपने घरों में पधरामणी कराई, संतों को धोती ओढ़ाकर भावपूर्ण पूजन किया।
छठे दिन प्रातःकाल जब संत आगे की यात्रा के लिए प्रस्थान कर रहे थे, उसी समय गाँव के एक मुमुक्षु डूंगर पटेल के मन में विचार आया, “इतने महान संत आज हमारे गाँव आए हैं, तो मैं अपनी बाड़ी (खेत) की मीठी ककड़ियाँ (चीभड़ा) इन्हें प्रेमपूर्वक जिमाऊँ।” इस पवित्र संकल्प के साथ वे अपनी झोली (फांट) भरकर ताजी ककड़ियाँ ले आए। सद्गुरु गुणातीतानंद स्वामी उस मुमुक्षु के भाव को तुरंत भाँप गए और बोले, “इन ककड़ियों का बीज बहुत उत्तम है, इसलिए ककड़ियाँ भी बहुत अच्छी हुई हैं!” इतना कहकर स्वामी ने डूंगर पटेल पर कृपा दृष्टि डालते हुए कहा, “यह डूंगर पटेल भी आगे चलकर बहुत अच्छे सत्संगी बनेंगे!” तत्पश्चात स्वामी ने ककड़ियों को धुलवाकर और कटवाकर ठाकोरजी को भोग धराया और स्वयं भी संतों सहित उसका आस्वाद लिया।
वहाँ से प्रस्थान करके स्वामी बिलखा होते हुए जूनागढ़ मंदिर पधारे। उधर डूंगर भगत के अंतःकरण में स्वामी के वे आशीर्वचन एक दिव्य दीप की भाँति प्रज्वलित हो उठे। वे एक निष्ठावान और उच्च कोटि के सत्संगी बन गए। समय बीतने पर उन्होंने इस असार संसार का त्याग कर दिया और जूनागढ़ स्वामी के सान्निध्य में आ गए। स्वामी की आज्ञा शिरोधार्य कर, वे जीवन पर्यन्त जूनागढ़ मंदिर की ड्योढ़ी (मुख्य द्वार) पर द्वारपाल (चौकीदार) के रूप में निष्काम सेवा करते रहे और अंत में परम पावन अक्षरधाम को सिधारे। ऐसे महान संत का अनुग्रह प्राप्त होते ही मात्र एक दर्शन से डूंगर भगत का जीवन आमूलचूल परिवर्तित हो गया और उन्हें साक्षात् अक्षरधाम की शाश्वत प्राप्ति हो गई।

Kumbha Vanjar of Samadhiyala and Dungar Patel of Kalsari
Once, Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami, accompanied by a group of seven to eight sadhus, arrived in Una to celebrate the sacred festival of Jaljhilani Ekadashi. It was as though a divine monsoon of Satsang had showered upon the villages of Nagher and Babariyavad. Devotees from far and wide were invited to partake in the Jaljhilani celebrations. Swami took Thakorji into the river for the ceremonial boat ride and holy bath (jal-jhilana), allowing all the devotees to experience this transcendental bliss.
By late afternoon, the devotees began taking darshan of Thakorji and seeking Swami’s blessings to return to their respective villages. Kumbha Vanjar, who had come from the village of Samadhiyala, found himself in a dilemma. His village was far away, and he possessed neither an ox-cart nor a horse. Traveling on foot alone through the dense forest trails at that hour seemed unsafe and imprudent. He became deeply anxious, wondering, “If I set out now, how will I ever reach home safely in the dark?”
Troubled by these thoughts, he approached Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami for darshan. The omniscient Swami, perceiving the inner worry of the devotee, said, “Kumbhabhagat! Cast aside the worries in your mind and stay here tonight. In any case, walking alone through forest pathways late at night is not wise. Have breakfast (sheeraman) in the morning and take my mare to ride home.” Hearing this, Kumbha Vanjar was astonished. Regaining his composure after a moment, he said with deep emotion, “Swami, today you have read the innermost thoughts of my heart! In the past, Atmanand Swami and Guru Ramanand Swami used to know one’s inner thoughts just like this. Today, I have experienced the divine presence of Guru Ramanand Swami directly within you.” Kumbhabhagat stayed that night, enjoying the elevating company (samagam) of the holy sadhus in the mandir. Receiving a promise from the sadhus that they would soon visit his village, he partook of breakfast the next morning and departed for Samadhiyala.
A few days later, respecting Kumbhabhagat’s loving persistence, Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami traveled with his sant mandal to Samadhiyala. After staying there, they walked through the Gir forest and arrived at the village of Kalsari. The local devotees lovingly hosted the sadhus by serving devotional meals in turns and persuaded Swami to stay for five days. All the village devotees invited the sadhus to their homes (padhramani), offered them dhotis, and worshiped them with deep reverence.
On the morning of the sixth day, as the sadhus were preparing to depart early, a spiritual seeker (mumukshu) of the village named Dungar Patel had a noble thought: “Such a great saint has graced our village today; let me offer the large, sweet melons (chibhda) from my farm to him.” With this devout wish, he brought a bundle full of fresh farm melons. Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami perceived the seeker’s pure devotion and said, “The seed of these melons is exceptionally pure; hence, the fruits have turned out wonderfully.” Casting a merciful glance upon Dungar Patel, Swami remarked, “This Dungar Patel, too, is destined to become a very fine Satsangi!” Swami then had the melons washed, sliced, offered to Thakorji, and subsequently partook of them along with the sadhus.
Departing from Kalsari, Swami traveled through Bilkha and arrived at the Junagadh mandir. Swami’s prophetic blessings ignited an inner spiritual flame in Dungar Bhagat’s heart. He evolved into an exemplary and staunch devotee. As time passed, he renounced worldly life and came to Junagadh to reside in the service of Swami. Obeying Swami’s holy command, he spent the rest of his life serving selflessly as a gatekeeper at the main gateway (deli) of the Junagadh mandir, and ultimately attained Akshardham. By the boundless grace of the divine Satpurush, a single darshan transformed Dungar Bhagat’s entire life and bestowed upon him the immediate attainment of Akshardham.
