જુનાગઢમા સદગુરુ બૃહમાનંદ સ્વામી રાધારમણ દેવના મંદિરની પદ્મશીલા ચડાવતા હતા. એ વખતે દોર તુટયો ને શીલા નીચે પડી. દતાત્રેય ના દેવાલય નો ઘંટ તુટીને નીચે પડ્યો, ને દામોદર ના દેવાલય ની દિવાલ ફાટી, આમ એક પછે એક અપશુકન થતા સદગુરુ બૃહ્માનંદ સ્વામીને કાંઇક અનિષ્ટ અમંગળ થયા ના સમાચાર મળવાની બીક લાગી. બરોબર બપોરના બાર વાગ્યે હરે નો ટાઇમ થયો એ સમે પાર્ષદ ભગુજી ઉંટ લઇને જુનાગઢ પહોંચ્યા. શ્રીહરિ ના સ્વધામગમન નો કાગળ વાંચીને સ્વામી સુનમુન થય ગયા ને શોકાતુર થઇ ગયા. સૌને ખબર પડતા સૌ કોઇ રોવા લાગ્યા. સ્વામી તો તરતજ અન્ન-જળનો ત્યાગ કરીને ગઢડે પધાર્યા. આંખોમાંથી એકધારી અશ્રુધારા વહેતા આંખો સુજી ગઇ.
ગઢડે પધારતા આંખોય દરબારગઢ જાણે શુન્યવત ભાસ્યો. જાણે આંખોય દરબારગઢ નિસ્તેજ હોય એવું લાગતું હતું. જાણે નિષ્પૃાણ સૌ કોઇ થઇ ગયા હોય એવા સૌના તન હતા. બૃહ્માનંદસ્વામી આવીને સદગુરુ મુકતાનંદ સ્વામી, સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીને મળતા જ ભેટી પડયા ને રડતા રડતા બોલ્યા કે આજ કાળીયા એ કપટ કર્યું, તમે એમનો અગ્નિસંસ્કાર કરી દીધો, નહીતર આ બૃહ્માનંદમા એ શ્રીહરિને અક્ષરઘામમાંથી પાછા લાવવાની તાકાત ખરી, પણ હવે શુ કરીએ..! સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામીએ ધીરજ આપી પણ આજ બૃહ્મમુનિ જાણે ખરેખર માત્ વિહોણા થય ગયા હોય એમ રડતા છાના ન રહી શક્યા.
ત્યાથી સ્વામી પોતે પરબારા મંદિર મા શ્રીગોપીનાથજી મહારાજ ના દર્શને ગયાને વિરહનું કિરતન ગાયું કે…
પાતળીયે હર્યા પૃાણ રે બેની મારા પાતળીયે હર્યા પૃાણ..!
શોકાતુર હૃદયે એક પછે એક એમ ચાર પદ ગાયા ત્યાં તો ગોપીનાથજી મહારાજની મુર્તીમાંથી સાક્ષાત શ્રીહરિ પૃગટ થયાને હાથ લાંબા કરીને ગુલાબનો મોટો હાર સ્વામીને પહેરાવ્યો. સ્વામીને બાથમાં ઘાલીને ભેટ્યા ને બોલ્યા કે બૃહ્મમુનિ..! અમે હજુ આયા જ છીએ, અમે તો કાયમ સત્સંગ મા પૃગટ છીએ..! તમે સૌ કોઇ જ્યારે જ્યારે યાદ કરશો અમે તમારી સાથે જ છીએ. સ્વામી પગે લાગ્યા એટલે બેઉ હાથ સ્વામીના માથે મુકયા ને આશ્વાસન દીધું.

ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी का विरह और गोपीनाथजी महाराज का प्रकटीकरण
जूनागढ़ में सद्गुरु ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी श्री राधारमण देव के मंदिर के शिखर की पद्मशिला चढ़ा रहे थे। उसी समय रस्सी टूट गई और भारी शिला नीचे गिर पड़ी। उधर दत्तात्रेय मंदिर की घंटी टूटकर नीचे गिर गई और दामोदर मंदिर की दीवार में दरार पड़ गई। इस प्रकार एक के बाद एक अपशकुन होते देख सद्गुरु ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी के हृदय में किसी बड़े अनिष्ट और अमंगल की आशंका जाग उठी। ठीक दोपहर बारह बजे, भोजन के समय, पार्षद भगुजी ऊँट पर सवार होकर जूनागढ़ पहुँचे। श्रीहरि के स्वधाम-गमन का पत्र पढ़ते ही स्वामी सुध-बुध खो बैठे और अगाध शोक में डूब गए। सबको जब यह समाचार मिला, तो सभी फूट-फूटकर रोने लगे। स्वामी ने तो उसी क्षण अन्न-जल का त्याग कर दिया और तुरंत गढ़पुर के लिए प्रस्थान कर दिया। नेत्रों से अविरल बहती अश्रुधारा के कारण उनकी आँखें सूज गईं।
गढ़पुर पहुँचते ही पूरा दरबारगढ़ शून्य और सूना प्रतीत हुआ। ऐसा लग रहा था मानो संपूर्ण दरबारगढ़ ही निस्तेज हो गया हो, और सभी संत-भक्त देह में प्राणहीन हो गए हों। ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी ने वहाँ पहुँचकर सद्गुरु मुक्तानंद स्वामी और सद्गुरु गोपालानंद स्वामी से मिलते ही उन्हें गले लगा लिया और बिलख-बिलख कर रोते हुए बोले, “आज उस कालिया (श्रीहरि) ने हमारे साथ बड़ा कपट किया! आपने उनका अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया, अन्यथा इस ब्रह्मानंद में इतनी सामर्थ्य थी कि वह श्रीहरि को अक्षरधाम से भी वापस खींच लाता! परंतु अब क्या किया जाए…!” सद्गुरु गोपालानंद स्वामी ने उन्हें सांत्वना दी और धैर्य बँधाया, किंतु आज ब्रह्ममुनि की दशा ऐसी थी मानो कोई बालक अपनी माता से बिछुड़ गया हो; उनका रोना किसी भी प्रकार थम नहीं रहा था।
वहाँ से स्वामी सीधे मंदिर में श्री गोपीनाथजी महाराज के दर्शन करने पहुँचे और विरह-वेदना में डूबकर कीर्तन गाने लगे:
पातलीये हर्या प्राण रे, बेनी मारा पातलीये हर्या प्राण…!
शोकाकुल हृदय से स्वामी ने एक के बाद एक चार पद गाए। तभी अचानक श्री गोपीनाथजी महाराज की दिव्य मूर्ति में से साक्षात् श्रीहरि प्रकट हो गए! उन्होंने अपने दोनों हाथ आगे बढ़ाकर गुलाब के फूलों का एक बड़ा हार ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी के गले में पहना दिया। श्रीहरि ने स्वामी को प्रेम से आलिंगन में भर लिया और बोले, “हे ब्रह्ममुनि! हम अभी यहीं हैं! हम तो इस सत्संग में सदा-सर्वदा प्रकट हैं! जब-जब आप सभी हमें स्मरण करेंगे, हम आपके साथ ही उपस्थित रहेंगे।” जब स्वामी ने उनके चरणों में मस्तक झुकाया, तब श्रीहरि ने अपने दोनों कर-कमल स्वामी के शीश पर रखकर उन्हें सांत्वना और परम आश्वासन दिया।

Brahmanand Swami’s Divine Virah and the Manifestation of Gopinathji Maharaj
In Junagadh, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami was overseeing the placement of the crowning stone (padmashila) on the spire of the Shri Radharaman Dev mandir. At that moment, the thick rope snapped and the heavy stone fell to the ground. Simultaneously, the holy bell of the Dattatreya shrine broke and fell, and a wall of the Damodar mandir cracked. Witnessing these inauspicious omens occur one after another, Sadguru Brahmanand Swami felt a deep dread that some catastrophic misfortune had occurred. Exactly at noon, Parshad Bhaguji arrived in Junagadh riding a camel. Upon reading the letter bearing the heartbreaking news of Shri Hari’s departure to His eternal abode (Swadhamgaman), Swami was stunned speechless and plunged into overwhelming grief. As the sorrowful news spread, everyone wept inconsolably. Swami immediately renounced food and water and set out for Gadhpur. A ceaseless torrent of tears flowed from his eyes until they became swollen.
Arriving in Gadhpur, the entire Darbargarh appeared desolate and lifeless, as if all light and splendor had vanished from the earth, and the devotees and saints looked like living bodies drained of their souls. Upon reaching, Brahmanand Swami embraced Sadguru Muktanand Swami and Sadguru Gopalanand Swami and wept bitterly, crying out, “Today that Kalia (Shri Hari) played a divine deception on us! You performed His final rites, otherwise this Brahmanand had the spiritual strength to bring Shri Hari back even from Akshardham! But what can we do now…!” Sadguru Gopalanand Swami tried to console him, but today Brahmamuni wept like a grief-stricken child who had lost his divine mother; his tears simply would not cease.
From there, Swami went straight into the mandir for darshan of Shri Gopinathji Maharaj. Standing before the divine murti with a grief-stricken heart, he began singing a devotional pad of intense separation (virah):
Pātallīye haryā prāṇ re, benī mārā pātallīye haryā prāṇ…!
As he sang four consecutive verses from the depths of his agonizing sorrow, a breathtaking miracle unfolded: Shri Hari manifested in divine physical form directly from the sacred murti of Gopinathji Maharaj! Extending His divine hands, Shri Hari placed a magnificent garland of fresh roses around Brahmanand Swami’s neck. Maharaj embraced Swami warmly in His divine arms and said, “O Brahmamuni! We are still right here! We are eternally manifest within this Satsang! Whenever you all remember Us, We are right there with you.” When Swami bowed reverently at His lotus feet, Shri Hari placed both His compassionate hands upon Swami’s head and comforted him with divine solace.
