દાડમાના નથુ ભક્ત અને વાડાશિનોરના અભેરામ
અમરેલી જીલ્લા મા લીલીયા તાલુકા મા દાડમા નામે ગામ છે ત્યાં નથુ ભક્ત કરીને એક કર્મકાંડી બૃાહ્મણ સત્સંગી રહેતા. તેઓ એકવખત દર્શન કરવા ગઢપુર ગયા. જોગાનજોગ એ વખતે સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી ગઢપુર હતા. સ્વામીના ભાવથી દંડવત કરીને દર્શન કર્યા. સ્વામી એ એમને સત્સંગી કર્યા ને પંચવર્તમાનની વાતો કરી ને લાલજી ને શાલિગ્રામ દરરોજ પુજન કરવા દીધા. નથુ ભક્ત તો રાજી થયા થકા લાલજી ને પોતાના ઘેર સેવા કરવા લઇ ગયા. ભગત ના ઘરવાળા કુસંગી તે વ્યસન થી તમાકુ ખાય. એકવખત ભગતે ઘરે લાલજી ને જમવા સારુ થાળ કર્યો પણ એની ઘરવાળુ ચુલા ની આગમૂણ મા થૂંકી. ભગત તો સમસમી ને ગુસ્સે થયા. લાલજી ને શાલીગૃામ ને લઇ ને નથુ ભક્ત તો ગઢપુર પાછા આવ્યા. મંદિરમા આવીને સ્વામી પાસે વાત કરી ને સેવા ન કરી શક્યા થી દિલગીરી વ્યક્ત કરી. સ્વામી એ આશીર્વાદ દીધા ને બોલ્યા કે ભગત, જાઓ મહારાજ સૌ સારા વાના કરશે. સ્વામી ના આશીર્વાદે એમના ઘરવાળા નુ હૃદય પરિવર્તન થયું ને બાઇએ માફી માંગી સત્સંગી થઇ ને હેતપૃીતે લાલજી ને શાલિગ્રામ ભગવાનની સેવા કરવા લાગી.
શ્રીહરિ વડતાલ મા બીરાજતા હતા. ગોમતી કાઠે આંબલા હેઠે રોજ સભા કરતા. એકદિવસે ગામ વાડાશિનોરના હરિભકત અભેરામ શ્રીજીમહારાજનાં દર્શન કરવા આવ્યા હતા. પોતે દર્શન કરીને ભગવાનપણા નો નિશ્ચય કર્યો ને પોતાને ગામ ઘેર જઈને પોતાની માને શ્રીજીમહારાજના ભગવાનપણાના નિશ્ચયની વાત કરી ને બોલ્યા કે માં શ્રીહરિ તો સર્વઅવતારના અવતારીને સર્વેના નિયંતા છે હો..! ત્યારે તે ડોસી બોલ્યા જે, “બેટા અભેરામ, કાં તો સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાન નથી, ને કાં તો તે સ્વામિનારાયણને ભગવાન જાણ્યા નથી. જાણ્યા હોય તો ભગવાનને મેલીને અહીં આવા દુખરુપ સંસાર મા શા સારું દોડ્યો આવે?” એમ પછે તો નિત્યે મા-દીકરાને જ્યારે પણ સત્સંગની વાતે સંવાદ થાય ત્યારે કહે જ…!
પછી એકવાર તે અભેરામ વડતાલે મહારાજને દર્શને આવ્યા. ત્યારે પોતાના મનમાં વિચાર્યું: “ડોસી વડતાલ નજીક પીજ ગામમાં મારે મોસાળે આવ્યા છે, ને તેમને તેડી આવીને મહારાજનાં દર્શન કરાવ્યા હોય તો સારું.’ પછી ડોસીને તેડી આવીને શ્રીજીમહારાજનાં દર્શન કરાવ્યા.
મહારાજનાં દર્શન કરીને તે ડોસીને ભગવાનપણાનો નિશ્ચય થઈ ગયો. પછી ઉતારે ગયા ને તેમને તાવ આવ્યો. પછી તે ડોસી બોલ્યાં જે, “અભેરામ ! મને શ્રીજીમહારાજનાં દર્શન કરાવ.” તે અભેરામ દોડતા દોડતા મહારાજના પાસે આવીને બે હાથ જોડીને કહે કે, “મારી ડોસીને તાવ આવ્યો છે. તે તમે તેને દર્શન દેવા પધારશો?” પછી ભક્તવત્સલ શ્રીહરિ કહે ચાલો અમે તો અમારા ભક્તના વાંસે આ દેહ કૃષ્ણાર્પણ કરી રાખ્યો છે. અમારા ભક્ત નુ યોગક્ષેમનુ વહન અમે કરવા જ તો અક્ષરધામ થી પધાર્યા છઈએ, તો ચાલો અમે અત્યારે જ દર્શન દેવા પધારીશુ.
શ્રીજીમહારાજ સભામાંથી ઉઠ્યા ને મુળજી બૃહ્મચારીને સાથે લઇને ડોસીને દર્શન દેવા ઉતારે પધાર્યા. ડોશીને તો હરખના આંસુની ધાર વહેતી થઇને દર્શન કરીને કૃતાર્થ થઇ ગયા. મહારાજ તેમને દર્શન દઈને ઉતારે પધાર્યા ને ડોસીએ સૌને હેતથી જય શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ કહ્યા ને બોલ્યા કે મને શ્રીજી તેડવા આવ્યા છે ને હુ એમના સાથે અક્ષરધામમાં જાઈશ ને એમ હાલતા ચાલતા વાતો કરતા કરતા દેહ મેલ્યો.

दाड़मा के नथु भक्त और वाड़ाशिनोर के अभेराम
अमरेली जिले की लीलिया तहसील में दाड़मा नाम का एक गाँव है। वहाँ नथु भक्त नामक एक कर्मकांडी ब्राह्मण सत्संगी रहते थे। एक बार वे दर्शन हेतु गढ़पुर गए। उस समय दैवयोग से सद्गुरु गोपालानंद स्वामी भी गढ़पुर में ही विराजमान थे। नथु भक्त ने अत्यंत भाव से दंडवत प्रणाम कर स्वामी के दर्शन किए। स्वामी ने उन्हें सत्संग में दीक्षित किया, पंचवर्तमान के नियमों का उपदेश दिया और नित्य सेवा-पूजन के लिए लालजी (बालमुकुंद) तथा शालिग्राम भगवान की मूर्तियाँ प्रदान कीं। नथु भक्त परमानंद में भरकर लालजी को अपने घर ले आए और सेवा करने लगे। परंतु भक्त की पत्नी सत्संग-विमुख (कुसंगी) थी और उसे तंबाकू खाने का व्यसन था। एक दिन नथु भक्त ने घर में लालजी को भोग लगाने के लिए थाल तैयार किया, किंतु उसी समय उनकी पत्नी ने चूल्हे के पास ही तंबाकू की पीक थूक दी। यह देखकर भक्त का हृदय क्षोभ और क्रोध से भर गया। वे अत्यंत व्यथित होकर लालजी और शालिग्राम की मूर्तियों को लेकर पुनः गढ़पुर लौट आए। मंदिर में आकर उन्होंने गोपालानंद स्वामी से सारी व्यथा कही और सेवा न कर पाने का खेद व्यक्त किया। स्वामी ने स्नेहपूर्वक आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा, “भक्तराज! आप निश्चिंत होकर घर जाइए, महाराज सब अच्छा करेंगे।” स्वामी के उस दिव्य आशीर्वाद से उनकी पत्नी का हृदय-परिवर्तन हो गया। उसने अपनी भूल की क्षमा माँगी, सत्संगी बनी और पंचवर्तमान धारण कर अत्यंत प्रेम एवं श्रद्धा से लालजी और शालिग्राम भगवान की सेवा करने लगी।
दूसरे प्रसंग में, श्रीहरि वडताल में गोमती सरोवर के तट पर आम के वृक्षों के नीचे नित्य दिव्य सभा आयोजित करते थे। एक दिन वाड़ाशिनोर गाँव के हरिभक्त अभेराम श्रीजी महाराज के दर्शन करने वडताल आए। प्रभु के अलौकिक दर्शन पाकर उन्हें उनके पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान होने का दृढ़ निश्चय हो गया। घर लौटकर उन्होंने अपनी वृद्ध माता से श्रीजी महाराज के भगवान होने की बात कही और बोले, “माँ! श्रीहरि तो सर्व-अवतारों के अवतारी और अखिल सृष्टि के नियंता हैं!” तब उनकी माता ने कहा, “बेटा अभेराम! या तो स्वामीनारायण भगवान नहीं हैं, या फिर तुमने उन्हें यथार्थ रूप से भगवान नहीं जाना है। यदि तुमने सचमुच उन्हें साक्षात् भगवान जान लिया होता, तो भला भगवान को छोड़कर इस दुःखमय संसार में वापस क्यों आते?” इसके बाद जब भी माँ-बेटे के बीच सत्संग की चर्चा होती, माता यही बात दोहरातीं।
कालांतर में अभेराम पुनः वडताल में महाराज के दर्शन के लिए आए। तब उन्होंने विचार किया, “मेरी माताजी वडताल के समीप पीज गाँव में ननिहाल आई हुई हैं; यदि मैं उन्हें यहाँ लाकर महाराज के दर्शन करा दूँ तो कितना अच्छा हो!” अतः वे अपनी माता को पीज से वडताल ले आए और श्रीजी महाराज के साक्षात् दर्शन कराए।
श्रीजी महाराज के मुखारविंद का दर्शन करते ही उस वृद्ध माता को भी उनके साक्षात् भगवान होने का अटूट निश्चय हो गया। तत्पश्चात वे अपने विश्राम-स्थान (उतारे) पर गईं, जहाँ उन्हें तीव्र ज्वर (बुखार) आ गया। तब माताजी ने कहा, “बेटा अभेराम! मुझे एक बार पुनः श्रीजी महाराज के दर्शन करा दे।” अभेराम दौड़ते हुए महाराज के सम्मुख उपस्थित हुए और दोनों हाथ जोड़कर प्रार्थना की, “महाराज! मेरी वृद्ध माताजी को तेज बुखार आ गया है। क्या आप उन पर कृपा कर दर्शन देने पधारेंगे?” भक्तवत्सल श्रीहरि ने करुणापूर्वक कहा, “चलो, हम तो अपने भक्तों के लिए ही यह देह धारण किए हुए हैं। अपने भक्तों का योगक्षेम वहन करने के लिए ही तो हम अक्षरधाम से अवतरित हुए हैं; अतः चलो, हम अभी दर्शन देने चलते हैं।”
श्रीजी महाराज तत्काल सभा से उठे और मुलजी ब्रह्मचारी को साथ लेकर उस माताजी को दर्शन देने उनके उतारे पर पधारे। प्रभु के दर्शन कर माताजी के नेत्रों से प्रेमाश्रुओं की धारा बह निकली और वे कृतार्थ हो गईं। महाराज दर्शन देकर पुनः पधारे। उसके उपरांत उस माता ने सभी को अत्यंत प्रेम से ‘जय श्री स्वामीनारायण’ कहा और आनंदपूर्वक बोलीं, “श्रीजी महाराज मुझे अपने धाम ले जाने पधारे हैं और मैं उनके साथ अक्षरधाम जा रही हूँ।” इस प्रकार सहज भाव से प्रभु-स्मरण करते हुए उन्होंने अपनी नश्वर देह का त्याग किया और दिव्य अक्षरधाम को प्राप्त हुईं।

Nathu Bhakt of Dardma and Abheram of Vadasinor
In the Liliya taluka of Amreli district, there lies a village named Dardma. A ritualistic Brahmin devotee named Nathu Bhakt resided there. Once, he traveled to Gadhpur for the divine darshan of the Lord. By divine providence, Sadguru Gopalanand Swami was present in Gadhpur at that time. Nathu Bhakt devoutly offered prostrations (dandavat pranam) and took Swami’s darshan with deep faith. Swami initiated him into Satsang, instructed him in the Panch Vartaman (the five fundamental moral codes), and lovingly bestowed upon him the sacred murtis of Lalji (Balgopal) and Shaligram Bhagwan for daily worship. Overflowing with joy, Nathu Bhakt brought Lalji to his home and commenced his daily devotional service. However, his wife was spiritually adverse (kusangi) and addicted to tobacco. One day, the devotee prepared a pure devotional offering (thaal) for Lalji, but his wife spat tobacco juice right in front of the sacred cooking hearth. Nathu Bhakt was deeply pained and agitated by this desecration. Distressed that he could not maintain the sacred purity of the seva, he brought Lalji and the Shaligram back to Gadhpur. Entering the mandir, he expressed his sorrow and helplessness to Gopalanand Swami. Swami compassionately blessed him, saying, “Bhagat, return home peacefully; Maharaj will set everything right.” Through Swami’s divine blessings, a miraculous transformation took place in his wife’s heart. She repented, sought forgiveness, embraced Satsang, and began serving Lalji and Shaligram Bhagwan with immense love and reverence.
In another sacred incident, Shri Hari was gracing the pilgrimage town of Vadtal. Daily, He held divine assemblies beneath the shade of the mango groves on the serene banks of Gomti Lake. One day, a devotee named Abheram from the village of Vadasinor arrived in Vadtal for the darshan of Shriji Maharaj. Upon having darshan, he attained firm conviction of Maharaj’s supreme divinity. Returning to his home, he spoke passionately to his elderly mother about Shriji Maharaj’s supreme Godhead, saying, “Mother! Shri Hari is the ultimate source of all incarnations (Sarva Avatari) and the sovereign ruler of the entire cosmos!” His elderly mother replied thoughtfully, “Son Abheram, either Swaminarayan is not God, or you have not truly realized Him as God. For if you had truly recognized Him as the Supreme Lord, why would you leave Him behind and run back here to this miserable worldly existence?” Thereafter, whenever mother and son discussed spiritual matters, she would pose this same challenge.
Sometime later, Abheram visited Vadtal once more to have darshan of Maharaj. He contemplated, “My mother is currently visiting my maternal grandparents’ home in Pij village, which is near Vadtal. It would be wonderful if I could bring her here to receive Maharaj’s darshan.” He traveled to Pij, brought his mother to Vadtal, and facilitated her direct darshan of Shriji Maharaj.
As soon as she beheld the divine and radiant form of Shriji Maharaj, she attained absolute, unshakable conviction of His divine supremacy. Upon returning to their lodging, she was suddenly stricken with a severe fever. Feeling her time near, she pleaded, “Abheram! Please arrange for me to have darshan of Shriji Maharaj once more.” Abheram ran in haste to Maharaj, folded his hands, and prayed, “Maharaj! My elderly mother is suffering from high fever. Would You graciously visit our lodging to bless her with darshan?” The compassionate Lord, Bhaktavatsal Shri Hari, tenderly replied, “Come, let us go! We have dedicated this mortal frame entirely for the sake of Our devotees. Indeed, We have descended from Akshardham solely to shoulder the spiritual and temporal well-being (yogakshem) of Our devotees. Let us proceed; We shall grant her darshan right away!”
Shriji Maharaj immediately rose from the assembly and, accompanied by Mulji Brahmachari, walked to the lodging to grant darshan to the devoted mother. Beholding Maharaj, tears of boundless love and devotion flowed from her eyes, and she felt eternally blessed and fulfilled. Maharaj granted His divine darshan and returned. The mother then lovingly said “Jai Swaminarayan” to all around her, joyfully declared, “Shriji has arrived to take me, and I am departing with Him to Akshardham,” and while peacefully talking and chanting, she discarded her mortal body and attained the eternal abode of Akshardham.
