એકવખત ગઢપુર મા દાદાના દરબાર મા લિંબતરુ તળે ઢોલીયા ઉપર ગાદી તકિયે શ્રીહરિ બીરાજમાન હતા ને સંતો ભક્તો ને સાંખ્યયોગીઓની સભા ભરાઇ હતી. એ વખતે શ્રીહરિ બોલ્યા કે સૌ સંતો તમારામાં જે વિશિષ્ટ ગૂણો હોય તે અમને જણાવો..! સદગુરુ મુકતાનંદ સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે હે મહારાજ..! આપની કૃપાથી સામે થી કોઇ ખુલ્લી તલવારે મારવા આવતો હોય તો એના સન્મુખ જઇને વાત્ય કંરુ તો એનો કૃોધ પીગળી જાય ને કોઇ ગમે એવા કઠણ મનનો માણહ હોય એને તમારા પૃતાપની વાત કંરુ તો એનું અંતર ઓગળી જાય. શ્રીહરિ કહે સ્વામી એ વાત તમારી સાચી, તમારી વાતોએ જ અમદાવાદ મા જૈન વણિકોને રહસ્ય સમજાયુ હતું.
બૃહ્મમુનિ કહે કે હે મહારાજ..! આપના આશીર્વાદ થી હુ મારા કાવ્ય મા એકવખત ગૂઢ શબ્દ વાપરું એ ફરી ફરીને ન આવે ને મારે શબ્દ ગોતવા ન જાવા પડે, કાવ્ય મા એવી ઝાઝકમાળ આવે કે કોઇ દોષ જણાય નહી એવી ઝાઝકમાળ બીજો કવિ ન લાવી શકે..!
નિત્યાનંદ સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે હે મહારાજ આપની કૃપાએ મને શાસ્ત્રાર્થ મા ભારતવર્ષ મા કોઇ જીતી ન શકે એવી વિદ્વતા આપના પૃતાપે છે.
સદગુરુ ગોપાળાનંદ સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે હે મહારાજ..! આપની મરજી વીના તો અનંતકોટી બૃહ્માંડ મા તણખલું પણ હલવાને સમર્થ નથી, પણ આપ કહો તો આપના વતિ હુ એ અનંતકોટી બ્રહ્માંડ ચલાવી જાણું. શ્રીજી મહારાજ હસ્યા ને બોલ્યા કે સ્વામી તમે વાત કરી એ સાચી છે.
એકવખત શ્રીજીમહારાજે સદગુરુ મુકતાનંદ સ્વામીને પુછયુ કે હે સ્વામી..! એક શેર ચોખામાં કેટલા માણહ જમે? ત્યારે સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે હે મહારાજ..! તમે જેટલા કહો એટલા જમે..! ત્યારે શ્રીહરિ બોલ્યા કે પાંચ માણહ જમે? ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે હા મહારાજ…! પાંચ માણહ જમે. ત્યારે મહારાજ કહે દહ માણહ જમે કે? ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે હા મહારાજ દહ માણહ જમે..! વળી મહારાજ કહે સો કે પાંચસો માણહ એક શેર ચોખા મા જમે કે? ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે હા મહારાજ..! તમે ધારો તો સો કે પાંચસો પણ જમી શકે..!
ત્યારે શ્રીજીમહારાજ કહે તમે આમ કેમ હા મા હા કેમ કહો છો? તમે ખોટા છો? એક શેર મા પાંચસો માણહ કેમ જમે..? ત્યારે સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે હે મહારાજ..! માણહ ને શેર જમવું કે એક ચોખાનો દાણો જમવો એ તો તમે નિરમ્યું છે, બાકી તમ વિના એ ચોખાના દાણાને પચવવા કોઇ શકિતમાન નથી. આપ જ સર્વ ના કર્તાહર્તા ને સર્વનિયંતા છો. શ્રીજીમહારાજ ઘણા રાજી થયા ને બોલ્યા કે સ્વામી તમે ગુરુભક્ત ખરા હો..! આવી જ રીતે શ્રીજીમહારાજ એકવખત રુમાલ બતાવી ને સ્વામી ને કહે આ શુ છે ? ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે હે મહારાજ એતો રુમાલ છે. ત્યારે શ્રીજીમહારાજ કહે સ્વામી આતો તલવાર છે. ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે હા મહારાજ ! એ તો તલવાર છે. તલવાર મા કાપવાની શકિત તમે જ મુકી છે. આપ જો ધારો તો એ શકિત આ રુમાલ મા પણ મુકી શકો છો. પુર્વે દેવોએ તમારી આજ્ઞાથી દરિયાના પાણી ના ફસોટાથી દૈત્યોના માથા વાઢ્યા જ હતા ને..! શ્રીહરિ કહે સ્વામી આખાયે બૃહ્માંડ મા તમારી સાધુતાને ગુરુભકિત અજોડ છે

नंद संतों की विशेषताएँ और मुक्तानंद स्वामी की गुरुभक्ति
एक समय गढ़पुर में दादा खाचर के दरबार में नीम के वृक्ष की शीतल छाया में श्रीहरि ढोलिये पर गद्दी-तकिये के सहारे विराजमान थे। उस समय संत, हरिभक्त और सांख्ययोगी माताओं की विशाल सभा उपस्थित थी। तब श्रीहरि ने संतों से कहा, “हे संतों! आप सभी में जो-जो विशिष्ट गुण हैं, वे हमें बताइए!”
सद्गुरु मुक्तानंद स्वामी ने हाथ जोड़कर कहा, “हे महाराज! आपकी असीम कृपा से यदि कोई खुली तलवार लेकर मुझे मारने भी आ रहा हो, और मैं उसके सम्मुख जाकर दो मीठे बोल बोलूँ, तो उसका क्रोध तत्काल पिघल जाता है। और चाहे कोई कितना भी कठोर हृदय मनुष्य क्यों न हो, जब मैं उसके आगे आपके दिव्य प्रताप की बात करता हूँ, तो उसका अंतःकरण पिघल कर निर्मल हो जाता है।” श्रीहरि ने कहा, “स्वामी! आपकी यह बात सर्वथा सत्य है। आपके इसी मधुर और शांत वचनों के प्रभाव से तो अहमदाबाद में जैन वणिकों को सत्संग का परम रहस्य समझ आया था।”
ब्रह्ममुनि (सद्गुरु ब्रह्मानंद स्वामी) बोले, “हे महाराज! आपके दिव्य आशीर्वाद से जब मैं अपनी कविता में एक बार किसी गूढ़ शब्द का प्रयोग कर लेता हूँ, तो वह बार-बार दोहराया नहीं जाता और मुझे नए शब्द ढूँढने भी नहीं पड़ते। मेरे काव्य में ऐसी अद्भुत शब्दावली, प्रवाह और लालित्य प्रकट होता है, जिसमें कोई दोष नहीं ढूँढ सकता। ऐसा काव्य-वैभव कोई दूसरा कवि कभी नहीं ला सकता!”
नित्यानंद स्वामी ने कहा, “हे महाराज! आपकी कृपा से संपूर्ण भारतवर्ष में शास्त्रार्थ में मुझे कोई पराजित नहीं कर सकता। ऐसा अगाध पांडित्य और विद्वत्ता केवल आपके प्रताप से ही मुझे प्राप्त हुई है।”
सद्गुरु गोपालानंद स्वामी ने नम्रता से कहा, “हे महाराज! आपकी इच्छा के बिना तो अनंत कोटि ब्रह्मांडों में तिनका भी हिलने में समर्थ नहीं है; परंतु यदि आप आज्ञा दें, तो आपकी ओर से मैं उन अनंत कोटि ब्रह्मांडों का संचालन कर सकता हूँ।” श्रीजी महाराज मंद-मंद मुस्कुराए और बोले, “स्वामी! आपने जो कहा, वह बिल्कुल सत्य है।”
एक अन्य अवसर पर श्रीजी महाराज ने सद्गुरु मुक्तानंद स्वामी से पूछा, “हे स्वामी! एक सेर चावल में कितने लोग भोजन कर सकते हैं?” तब स्वामी बोले, “हे महाराज! आप जितने चाहें, उतने लोग भोजन कर सकते हैं!” तब श्रीहरि ने पूछा, “क्या पाँच मनुष्य भोजन कर सकते हैं?” स्वामी ने कहा, “हाँ महाराज! पाँच मनुष्य भोजन कर सकते हैं।” फिर महाराज ने पूछा, “क्या दस मनुष्य भोजन कर सकते हैं?” स्वामी बोले, “हाँ महाराज! दस मनुष्य भोजन कर सकते हैं।” पुनः महाराज ने पूछा, “क्या एक सेर चावल में सौ या पाँच सौ मनुष्य भोजन कर सकते हैं?” तब स्वामी ने कहा, “हाँ महाराज! यदि आपका संकल्प हो, तो सौ या पाँच सौ मनुष्य भी भोजन कर सकते हैं!”
तब श्रीजी महाराज ने विनोद करते हुए पूछा, “आप ऐसे हर बात में ‘हाँ में हाँ’ क्यों मिला रहे हैं? क्या आप असत्य बोल रहे हैं? एक सेर में पाँच सौ मनुष्य भला कैसे भोजन कर सकते हैं?” तब स्वामी ने परम निष्ठा से उत्तर दिया, “हे महाराज! कोई मनुष्य सेर भर अन्न खाए या चावल का एक दाना खाए, यह सब आपकी ही इच्छा पर निर्भर है। आपके बिना तो संसार में कोई भी चावल के एक दाने को पचाने में भी समर्थ नहीं है। आप ही संपूर्ण सृष्टि के कर्ता-धर्ता और सर्व-नियंता हैं।” श्रीजी महाराज यह सुनकर अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और बोले, “स्वामी! आप सच्चे गुरुभक्त हैं!”
इसी प्रकार एक बार श्रीजी महाराज ने एक रुमाल दिखाकर स्वामी से पूछा, “यह क्या है?” तब स्वामी बोले, “हे महाराज! यह तो रुमाल है।” तब श्रीजी महाराज ने कहा, “स्वामी! यह तो तलवार है।” तब स्वामी बोले, “हाँ महाराज! यह साक्षात् तलवार ही है। तलवार में काटने की शक्ति भी तो आपने ही रखी है। यदि आप चाहें, तो वही शक्ति इस रुमाल में भी भर सकते हैं। पूर्वकाल में देवताओं ने आपकी आज्ञा से समुद्र के जल की झाग और फुहारों से ही दैत्यों के शीश काट डाले थे!” श्रीहरि गद्गद होकर बोले, “स्वामी! समस्त ब्रह्मांड में आपकी साधुता और गुरुभक्ति सचमुच अद्वितीय है।”

The Virtues of the Nand Saints and Muktanand Swami’s Guru-Bhakti
Once in Gadhpur, in Dada Khachar’s courtyard beneath the shade of the neem tree, Shri Hari was gracefully seated upon an embellished cot (dholiyo) adorned with cushions. A sacred assembly comprising holy saints, devotees, and sankhyayogi women was gathered. At that time, Shri Hari addressed the assembly, saying, “O saints! Kindly share with Us the unique virtues and spiritual capabilities that reside within you!”
Sadguru Muktanand Swami humbly spoke, “O Maharaj! By Your divine grace, even if someone approaches me with a drawn sword to strike me down, if I speak to him lovingly, his fierce anger melts away. Furthermore, no matter how hard-hearted a person may be, when I speak to him about Your divine glory, his heart softens and dissolves in devotion.” Shri Hari replied, “Swami, what you have spoken is entirely true. It was indeed through your gentle and profound words that the Jain merchants of Ahmedabad came to understand the divine truth of Satsang.”
Brahmamuni (Sadguru Brahmanand Swami) then spoke, “O Maharaj! By Your divine blessings, when I use a profound poetic expression in my verses, it is never redundantly repeated, nor do I ever have to search for words. Such celestial rhythm, elegance, and flawlessness flow into my poetry that no other poet could ever reproduce such splendor!”
Sadguru Nityanand Swami stated, “O Maharaj! By Your grace, no scholar in the entire land of Bharatvarsh can vanquish me in scriptural debate (shastrartha); such invincible scholarship and profound wisdom have been bestowed upon me solely by Your divine power.”
Sadguru Gopalanand Swami reverently said, “O Maharaj! Without Your divine will, not even a single blade of grass has the power to stir in the infinite millions of universes; yet, if You merely command, I have the capacity to govern and sustain those infinite millions of universes on Your behalf!” Shriji Maharaj smiled tenderly and said, “Swami, what you have said is indeed absolute truth.”
On another occasion, Shriji Maharaj asked Sadguru Muktanand Swami, “O Swami! How many people can dine from a single seer (approx. one pound) of rice?” Swami replied, “O Maharaj! As many people as You command can dine!” Shri Hari then asked, “Can five people dine?” Swami said, “Yes Maharaj, five people can dine.” Maharaj inquired further, “Can ten people dine?” Swami replied, “Yes Maharaj, ten people can dine.” Maharaj asked again, “Can a hundred or five hundred people dine from that single seer of rice?” Swami replied with unwavering faith, “Yes Maharaj! If You will it, even a hundred or five hundred people can dine!”
Shriji Maharaj then tested him playfully, “Why do you simply agree with whatever I say? Are you mistaken? How can five hundred people dine from just one seer of rice?” Swami devoutly replied, “O Maharaj! Whether a person consumes a seer of food or a single grain of rice is solely ordained by Your divine dispensation. Without You, no one in this world possesses the strength even to digest a single grain of rice. You alone are the Supreme Doer (Sarva Karta-Harta) and the all-pervading Controller of everything (Sarva Niyanta).” Shriji Maharaj was immensely pleased and proclaimed, “Swami, you are truly a foremost Guru-bhakt!”
Similarly, on another occasion, Shriji Maharaj showed a handkerchief to Muktanand Swami and asked, “What is this?” Swami answered, “O Maharaj, it is a handkerchief.” Shriji Maharaj then said, “Swami, this is a sword!” Swami immediately responded, “Yes Maharaj! It is indeed a sword. For You alone have placed the cutting power within a sword. If You wish, You can instill that very power into this handkerchief. In ancient times, by Your divine command, the devas severed the heads of demons using merely the sprays and foam of ocean water!” Shri Hari said with great affection, “Swami, in the entire cosmos, your saintliness and guru-bhakti are truly peerless!”
