શિવલાલ શેઠનું ધામ ગમન અને સંતોના વચન
સદગુરુ ભાયાત્માનંદ સ્વામી બહુધા વાગડ ગામમાં રહેતા. તે જ્યારે ત્યાં માંદા થયા, ત્યારે ગામ બોટાદના ભગા દોશીના પુત્ર શીવલાલભાઈ સ્વામીને દર્શને આવ્યા. પોતે મંદિરે સ્વામીની સેવા કરવા જ રોકાયા. પોતે લખપતિ શેઠિયા હોવા છતા સ્વામીની જાતે જ બધી સેવા કરતા. બીજા સાધુ-હરિજન જે જે સ્વામીને દર્શને આવે તે સર્વેને શીવલાલભાઈ પોતાની ગાંઠનું ખરચ આપીને બ્રાહ્મણ પાસે પાકી રસોઈ કરાવીને જમાડતા હતા. એવી શીવલાલભાઈની આત્મભાવે ભારે સેવા જોઈને, અતિશય રાજી થઈને સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે “હે શીવલાલ, તુ લખપતિ શેઠિયો ને ધંધાને ઘરબાર મુકીને મારા દેહની સેવા કરવા રોકાયો, હું તારા ઉપર બહુ રાજી થયો છું, ને તે મારે અર્થે બહુ કર્યું છે, માટે તું વર માગ.” પછી શીવલાલ શેઠ બોલ્યા કે “ સ્વામી, તમો મહારાજના ધામમાં જાઓ છો તો તમારા બારમાંના દિવસે મને તેડવા આવજો.” ત્યારે સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે શીવા, તુ હજી એકત્રીસ વરહ નો છ ને હજી નાનો છો, તે બીજું કાંઈક માગ.” ત્યારે શીવલાલ શેઠ કહે “સ્વામી, મારે તો એ જ જોઈએ છીએ.” પછી સ્વામીએ દેહ મેલ્યો ને સ્વામીને દેન દઈને પોતાને ઘેર બોટાદ ગયા.
તે ઘરે જાતા રસ્તામા જ નાકમાં ફોડલી થઈ ને તાવ આવ્યો. તે પરબારા મંદિરમાં જ ઉતારો કર્યો. બે-ચાર દિવસ તાવ આવ્યો ને દેહ મેલ્યો ત્યારે એ બોલ્યા કે “શ્રીજીમહારાજ ને આત્માનંદસ્વામી મને તેડવા આવ્યા છે, તે હુ એમના સાથે અક્ષરધામમાં જાઉ છું.” એમ શ્રીજીમહારાજ આત્માનંદસ્વામીનો વર સત્ય કરીને શીવલાલભાઈને તેડી ગયા.
એકવાર વાસુદેવાનંદ બ્રહ્મચારી ઈડર દેશને વિશે કોઈક ગામડામાં ફરવા ગયા હતા. ત્યાં એક બ્રાહ્મણ નિત્યે સ્વામી પાસે વાતો સાંભળવા આવતો હતો. તેને સ્વામી એ કીધુ કે “બૃહ્મદેવતા તમે વર્તમાન ધારીને સત્સંગી થાઓ.” પછી તે વિપ્ર એમ બોલ્યો જે, “સ્વામી, તમે મને અંત સમયે તેડવા આવો તો સત્સંગી થાઉ.” પછી સ્વામી બોલ્યા કે “તમને તેડવા આવીશું સત્સંગી થાઓ.” પછી તે નિયમ ધારીને સત્સંગી થયો. પછી જ્યારે એના અંતકાળે તે વિપ્રે દેહ મેલ્યો, ત્યારે તે એમ બોલ્યો જે, “આ વાસુદેવાનંદસ્વામી મને તેડવા આવ્યા છે, તે હું મહારાજના ધામમાં જાઉ છું.” એમ કહીને તેણે દેહ મેલ્યો. એમ મહારાજ વાસુદેવાનંદસ્વામીનો વર સત્ય કરીને ઈડર દેશના વિપ્રને તેડી ગયા.
એકસમયને વિશે કૃષ્ણાનંદસ્વામી મૂળીથી અમદાવાદ આવતાં ગામ મણીપરમાં રહ્યા. ત્યાં એક હરિભગત બહુ માંદા હતા. સ્વામી મંદિરે હતા ત્યારે બીજા હરિભકતોએ આવીને સ્વામીને કહ્યું કે એક હરિભકત માંદા છે, તેને તમે દર્શન દેવા પધારો તો એનું ઘણું રુડુ થાય, ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે “હા, આવશું.” પછી સ્વામી પોતે બીજા હરિભક્તોને ભેળા લઈને તેને ઘેર દર્શન દેવા સારુ પધાર્યા. ને તે હરિભક્તને મહારાજની વાતો કરીને શાંતિ પમાડી. પછી તે હરિભક્ત બોલ્યા જે, “સ્વામી, મેં અક્ષરધામનો માર્ગ દેખ્યો નથી; તે તમે અંત સમયે દેખાડવા આવજો?” ત્યારે સ્વામી કરુણાથકા બોલ્યા કે “હા, આવશું.” એમ કહીને જય સ્વામીનારાયણ કહીને ભજન કરવાનુ કહીને સ્વામી મંદિરે પરત પધાર્યા. પછી તે જ રાત્રીએ દસ વાગે તે હરિભક્તે દેહ મેલ્યો. તે સમયે તેણે: “ઓ..હો..હો..! અક્ષરધામનો માર્ગ સોંસરો દેખાય છે. માટે આ વખતે સ્વામીને બોલાવશો નહિ.” એમ કહીને દેહ મેલીને ધામમાં ગયો. એવી રીતે શ્રીહરિએ કૃષ્ણાનંદસ્વામીને વચને કરીને તે મણીપરના હરિભક્તને મૃત્યુવેળાએ અક્ષરધામનો માર્ગ દેખાડ્યો.

सद्गुरु भायात्मानंद स्वामी प्रायः वागड़ गाँव में निवास करते थे। जब वे वहाँ अस्वस्थ हुए, तब बोटाद निवासी भगा दोशी के सुपुत्र शिवलाल भाई स्वामी के दर्शनार्थ आए। वे मंदिर में स्वामी की सेवा-शुश्रूषा के लिए ही रुक गए। लखपति सेठ होने के बावजूद वे स्वयं अपने हाथों से स्वामी की संपूर्ण सेवा करते थे। इसके अतिरिक्त, जो भी साधु और हरिभक्त स्वामी के दर्शन हेतु आते, उन सभी को शिवलाल भाई अपनी निजी गाँठ से खर्च करके ब्राह्मणों से पक्की रसोई बनवाकर जिमाते थे। शिवलाल भाई की ऐसी निष्काम आत्मभावपूर्ण सेवा देखकर स्वामी अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और बोले, “हे शिवलाल! तुम लखपति सेठ होकर भी व्यापार और घर-बार छोड़कर मेरी देह की सेवा में रत रहे। मैं तुम पर अत्यंत प्रसन्न हूँ और तुमने मेरे निमित्त बहुत सेवा की है, अतः तुम कोई वरदान माँगो।”
तब शिवलाल सेठ बोले, “स्वामी! आप श्रीजी महाराज के धाम (अक्षरधाम) जा रहे हैं, तो अपने द्वादशाह (बारहवें दिन) के अवसर पर मुझे भी साथ ले जाने पधारना।” तब स्वामी बोले, “शिवा! तुम तो अभी मात्र इकतीस वर्ष के हो, अभी तो तुम्हारी आयु बहुत छोटी है; कुछ और माँग लो।” परंतु शिवलाल सेठ ने आग्रहपूर्वक कहा, “स्वामी! मुझे तो बस यही चाहिए।” तदुपरांत स्वामी ने देहत्याग किया और उनका अंतिम संस्कार संपन्न करके शिवलाल भाई अपने घर बोटाद लौट गए।
घर लौटते समय मार्ग में ही उनकी नासिका में एक फुंसी हो गई और तीव्र ज्वर आ गया। वे सीधे घर न जाकर मंदिर में ही ठहर गए। दो-चार दिन ज्वर रहने के पश्चात जब उनका देहांत होने लगा, तब वे बोले, “श्रीजी महाराज और आत्मानंद स्वामी मुझे अपने साथ ले जाने पधारे हैं, अतः मैं उनके साथ अक्षरधाम जा रहा हूँ।” इस प्रकार श्रीजी महाराज ने आत्मानंद स्वामी के वचन को सत्य सिद्ध करते हुए शिवलाल भाई को अक्षरधाम में स्थान दिया।
एक समय वासुदेवानंद ब्रह्मचारी ईडर क्षेत्र के किसी ग्राम में विचरण कर रहे थे। वहाँ एक ब्राह्मण नित्य प्रति स्वामी के पास आकर कथा-वार्ता सुनता था। स्वामी ने उनसे कहा, “हे भूदेव! आप पंच वर्तमान धारण कर सत्संगी बन जाइए।” तब उस विप्र ने कहा, “स्वामी! यदि आप मेरे अंत समय में मुझे लेने आएँ, तो मैं सत्संगी बन जाऊँ।” स्वामी ने वचन दिया, “हम तुम्हें अंतकाल में लेने अवश्य आएँगे, तुम सत्संगी बन जाओ।” विप्र ने नियम-धर्म धारण कर लिए और निष्ठावान सत्संगी बन गए। कालांतर में जब उस विप्र का अंतकाल आया, तब उसने देहत्याग करते हुए कहा, “ये वासुदेवानंद स्वामी मुझे ले जाने पधारे हैं और मैं महाराज के धाम जा रहा हूँ।” ऐसा कहकर उसने देह छोड़ दी। इस प्रकार महाराज ने वासुदेवानंद स्वामी के वरदान को सत्य करते हुए ईडर के उस ब्राह्मण को धाम पहुँचाया।
एक अन्य प्रसंग में, सद्गुरु कृष्णानंद स्वामी मूली से अहमदाबाद आते समय मणीपर गाँव में ठहरे। वहाँ एक हरिभक्त अत्यंत अस्वस्थ थे। जब स्वामी मंदिर में बिराजमान थे, तब अन्य भक्तों ने आकर विनती की, “एक हरिभक्त बहुत बीमार हैं, यदि आप पधारकर दर्शन दें तो उनका बड़ा कल्याण होगा।” स्वामी ने कहा, “हाँ, हम अवश्य चलेंगे।” फिर स्वामी अन्य हरिभक्तों को साथ लेकर उनके घर पधारे और उन्हें श्रीजी महाराज की महिमा की बातें सुनाकर परम शांति प्रदान की। तब उस हरिभक्त ने दीनभाव से कहा, “स्वामी! मैंने अक्षरधाम का मार्ग नहीं देखा है; क्या आप मेरे अंतिम समय में मुझे वह मार्ग दिखाने पधारेंगे?” तब स्वामी ने करुणापूर्वक कहा, “हाँ, हम आएँगे।” ऐसा कहकर और ‘जय स्वामीनारायण’ बोलकर भजन करने की आज्ञा देकर स्वामी मंदिर लौट आए। उसी रात्रि को दस बजे जब उस हरिभक्त का अंतिम समय आया, तब उसने हर्षोल्लास से कहा, “अहो! अक्षरधाम का सीधा मार्ग स्पष्ट दिखाई दे रहा है! अतः इस समय स्वामी को बुलाने का कष्ट न करें।” ऐसा कहकर उसने देहत्याग किया और धाम सिधार गया। इस प्रकार श्रीहरि ने कृष्णानंद स्वामी के वचन का मान रखते हुए मणीपर के उस भक्त को मृत्यु वेला में अक्षरधाम का सीधा मार्ग दिखाया।

Shivlal Sheth’s Departure to Akshardham and the Words of the Saints
Sadguru Bhayatmanand Swami mostly resided in the village of Vagad. When he fell ill there, Shivlalbhai, son of Bhaga Doshi of Botad, came for his darshan. Despite being a wealthy millionaire merchant (lakhpati sheth), Shivlalbhai stayed back at the temple to personally nurse and serve the ailing Swami. He performed all the personal seva for Swami with utmost devotion. Furthermore, whenever any sadhus or devotees came to visit Swami, Shivlalbhai bore all the expenses from his own pocket to have pure meals prepared by Brahmins and fed everyone with great reverence. Witnessing Shivlalbhai’s selfless, soul-deep service, Swami was profoundly pleased and said, “O Shivlal! Though a prominent merchant, you left behind your business and household to tend to my physical needs. I am immensely pleased with you, and you have done so much for my sake; therefore, ask for any boon you desire.”
Shivlal Sheth humbly replied, “Swami, when you depart for Maharaj’s divine abode, please come to take me with you on your twelfth-day ceremony (barma).” Swami replied, “Shiva, you are only thirty-one years old and still very young; ask for something else.” But Shivlal Sheth insisted, “Swami, this is all that I desire.” Sometime later, Swami left his mortal frame. After performing the final rites of Swami, Shivlal returned towards his home in Botad.
On the journey home, a small boil developed in his nose, leading to a high fever. Instead of going home, he went straight to the local temple. After suffering from fever for a few days, as his final moments arrived, he declared, “Shriji Maharaj and Atmanand Swami have arrived to take me; I am going with them to Akshardham!” In this divine manner, Shriji Maharaj fulfilled the boon granted by Atmanand Swami and took Shivlalbhai to Akshardham.
On another occasion, Vasudevanand Brahmachari was traveling through the villages of the Idar region. A local Brahmin used to visit Swami daily to listen to his spiritual discourses. Swami affectionately told him, “O Bhudeva, adopt the vows (vartaman) and become a Satsangi.” The Brahmin replied, “Swami, if you promise to come and escort me at the moment of my death, I will become a Satsangi.” Swami assured him, “We will surely come to take you; please accept the spiritual path.” The Brahmin gladly accepted the vows and became a dedicated devotee. When his final hour arrived, the Brahmin spoke aloud, “Vasudevanand Swami has arrived to take me, and I am departing for Maharaj’s divine abode!” Saying this, he discarded his mortal frame. Thus, Maharaj honored the promise made by Vasudevanand Swami and escorted the Brahmin of Idar to Akshardham.
In yet another incident, while travelling from Muli to Ahmedabad, Krishnanand Swami halted at the village of Manipar. There, a devotee was critically ill. Devotees approached Swami at the temple and prayed, “A devotee is very sick; if you kindly visit and grant him your darshan, it will bring him immense peace.” Swami agreed, “Yes, we shall go.” Accompanied by other devotees, Swami visited the sick devotee’s home and brought him immense peace by narrating the divine glories of Shriji Maharaj. The devotee then prayed, “Swami, I do not know the path leading to Akshardham; will you come to show me the way at my final moment?” Swami compassionately said, “Yes, we will come.” Saying “Jai Swaminarayan” and instructing him to chant and remember God, Swami returned to the temple. That very night at ten o’clock, as the devotee was about to depart this world, he exclaimed with joy, “Oh! The direct path to Akshardham is clearly visible before me! Therefore, please do not trouble Swami to come now.” Saying this, he cast off his mortal frame and attained the divine abode. In this way, Shri Hari honored the compassionate word of Krishnanand Swami and revealed the direct pathway to Akshardham to the devotee of Manipar at the time of death.
